  1. On the central locking, you can confirm if it's the locking motor by getting the one off the working side and plugging into the duff side, if it the moves the actuator arm that's all you need. Searched ebay (where mine came from) and found this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Chrysler-Town-Country-Voyager-Rear-Sliding-Power-Door-Lock-Actuator-/331859612551?hash=item4d445fd387:g:HVoAAOSwADNXPYOw Mine actually came over from the US, there were no UK sellers last year!!
  2. On the engine light question, don't dismiss the possibily - if it was a private seller, sorry to be suspicious - that they reset the light to get rid of it. When I sold my 2nd GV, AFTER a test drive and getting a deposit, I put it back on the drive and THEN the light came on!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blooming unbelieveable, but it happened. All it was on that was the Lambda sensor heater, so I got him the sensor, agreed a discount, and he arranged to get it fitted as I couldn't sort it in time. Engine code readers are cheap as chips on ebay and will clear engine codes. But it won't clear the problem, which is why the lights come back on.
  3. Welcome Newbie! Or, they were available from Pentagon Chrysler in Barnsley a year or so ago....... I paid about 7 quid each if I remember rightly, I've had a few bits off them, at much less than breakers wanted. Best one was the triple zone fan speed regulator (petrol models), £85 delivered new, or £90 old and used plus postage
  4. No they don't, the LX doesn't have electric sliding doors or tail gate, and various other niceities.
  5. Nope they don't fit because of the width - tried it. Not if you want to use the seat belts anyway......... As in the 2 will not go where the bench is. Looks like it will, with the rails, nearly put my shoulder out rawnging them around to try it.
  6. It is rather pathetic for a big lump isn't it!!! All 3 of mine have been the same so it's not down to settings or anything
  7. Yep! Blackpool Zoo at weekend in our 05 3.3, way nicer than the Galaxy.
  8. i would try cleaning the egr valve and passage ways first. I presume it is driving differently, down on power or in limp mode? On some older cars blanking off the egr can improve power, but not legally for emissions. Newer ones would probably need reprogramming. If the valve is sooted and sticking it could be giving the ECU a headache. After that amount of time and miles the problem is absolutely NOT related to drillings that are missing.
  9. A wild guess, but can you eliminate the battery red knob "thing" from the wiring? Somehow the permanent feed has been removed / bypassed to the rest of the electrics for the car.
  10. Yep on diesel if you had the heater on it will be the webasto allright, so nothing to worry about, but do investigate how they work!
  11. So, just a guess, but does NOTHING electrical work when ignition is off, including interior lights? Or if you try to switch on the side lights or headlights you get nothing, when the key is out? The mileage should light up on the dash when any door is open, along with a red door open warning light
  12. Absolutely fantastic when they're not annoying you hey!!! Recently got a 57 plate Galaxy to replace (while it's still off the road) our first 02 GV, and they are not nearly as nice a drive - got loads more go about it though I reluctantly have to admit, and it's only the 1.8 old style engine diesel.
  13. Try the spares guys at Pentagon Chrysler in Barnsley, always been very helpful to me.
  14. Just a thought, have you checked the little door switch? Could be dodgy or sticking, open the door and press the plunger a few times see if it does anything different.
  15. I recently bought the intake V gasket from jeepchryslerparts, in London, very helpful guys, worth a phone call! Don't go off the website details, speak to them - they found it and cross referenced what I needed, after I had a wrong one from elsewhere, presumably for the earlier version.
  16. mmm, sorry - actually technically it makes the contact, it is a plunger that moves out when the part of the pedal moves away from it. Won't make any diference to finding it but I thought I should correct myself!!
  17. First thing to check is your name plate data, I think it's on the front slam panel above the rad under bonnet. It will give kerb weights and other info, but also check your log book for weight data. But probably you are only looking at 500kg in reality, even allowing for the 30kg mid seats and around 50kg bench. And depending on the condition of your suspension, if you over load seriously, plod will easily spot it. And it's a serious offence, my scrap man got banged for £600 a couple of years ago!!
  18. It will be at the top of the pedal, high up, hidden behind the the plastics, when the pedal is pressed the top part of it above the pivot point moves away and breaks the switch contact, lighting up the bulbs.
  19. Not on one of these, but a mate had that same tube fail internally on a Discovery TD5, and did similar things, as it's stopping it beathing.
  20. Hi guys! I only know the one under the bonnet, they have several ecu's but not sure about multiple fuse locations. Mine certainly has nothing near the jack, but the rear door ecu is up behind the panel on that side. For the brake lights, try the brake light switch on the brake pedal.
  21. Hi there newbie!! My central locking would reset if I took the IOD fuse out for around half an hour. Shorter and it still held "memory" and still didn't respond to the fob or door switch. Let us know how you go on!
  22. Hi there and welcome! There should be a number on the unit, but you may need to get under the car to see it. Someone else may know if they are interchangeable too. Not to doubt the word of a garage.......... but now the belt has gone can you get your hand on the AC pulley and not turn it? Because the alternator pulley free wheel clutch has a habit of failing, and makes a strange "wuh wuh wuh" noise before it goes.
  23. Try HID conversion for your dipped beam, they are AWESOME, and cheap. Take a look at the other topics on here!
  24. Oh chuffing heck Chryslers yes. I'm on my third, but without the trauma you've had. 2002 LX, had it 4 years, 3.3 on LPG, still got it, thats the one with the gear chamge problem......... 2002 Ltd, 3.3, had it 2 1/2 years, then before selling it found our currnet 2005 3.3 (again) stow n go, and converted to LPG. Any way - on topic - the roof bars off my 2002 fit on the stow n go, need a bit of a tap to get on the rail to start but then fine.
