  1. If you have 3, and any work, then my suggestion - of the brake light switch at the brake pedal, won't be the solution?!
  2. It quite possibly could be, if you have an electrical multi meter try the button first, it's bloody awkward so it was a 2 man job for me, holding the door open / pressing the button / taking a reading to see if it made or broke the electrical signal. Obviously you need to remove the interior trim first and before that the closing handle. On our third GV (not our middle one mentioned above!) I changed the button as it was duff, for a tested good one, and it still didn't work. So after trying the ecu and a few other bits, it still doesn't. I've got used to it mostly. Like yours - motors open on the remote or button inside, won't open on the handle.
  3. Hi there! Well, our 2005 model mentioned above, has only done about 17,000 miles on gas so far, been sharing the miles with a Galaxy drizzel. Sadly I have no personal knowledge of a converter near you, but there used to be one called Profess who seem to have gone down seriously hill recently according to Google reviews after an owner change from man to wife. Personally I love the petrol LPG running, even if it is still absolutely awful on mpg - but cheap pence per mile! At 56p that's not bad, but certain areas are very much cheaper, in Stockport it's 54 currently, Blackpool was 53.7 this week. Have a look at www.go-autogas.com you will have to register to search but they don't sell your email or bombard with any adds. Some lucky sods in Coventry look like they pay 39.9p !!!! Cheapest in the country! Have you had the car long? I was only going to suggest if not to do some miles in it, as I did, to get a feel for it on petrol and see if any little niggles that have been hidden pop up before you spend the money. Then again shed loads of tidgy bits have happened on ours since, hey ho.
  4. Mine drives (drove - before MOT expired)still fine but only in the "manually" selected 2nd gear or reverse, not short of power at all, super smooth, clean oil, no noises (petrol so you can hear it!) and all gear indicator squares are lit up, it basically doesn't know what gear it's in. So because it cant change gear the engine light comes on regarding the emmissions.
  5. Welcome Fiona! I think Mikes right in that the front / rear washer is the same motor but reverses to change which screen it washes. I know that as when I tested mine for no water at the rear screen I swapped the hoses over. And the other is for the headlights which only work with the lights on. I wasn't sure what makes them pop up though.
  6. Yeah on that car I just put it down the a very worn ignition barrel as the key comes out anywhere! It doesn't have a hole like in the picture or any button.
  7. What's your error code pal? Only because I've got a similar thing on one of mine but its a communication between TCM and PCM so cock all to do with the box itself, sort of sadly as that could have been fixed!
  8. I can on one of our three, but the others only come out where the orange line is. But it caused problems when we first got it till I figured out all the way back was wrong and left lots of stuff live.
  9. I can on one of our three, but the others only come out where the orange line is.
  10. And well yes you didn't put this in the technical help section in fairness to others...... I would have replied the 2.5 stood no chance as I understood they were manual so good job I kept quiet hey. However in recent posts the 3.3 petrol does interchange with minor mods.

    Spare Keys

Hi guys I've had keys and remotes coded into mu Grand Voyager by a mobile auto locksmith, you do not need s dealer and definitely not for a key with transponder.
  12. Maybe it could be the drive shaft universal joint at the wheel end? These are available for around £30 on ebay. Jack it up and rotate the wheel with it locked over and it should be fairly obvious.
  13. Hiya Royboy, Have you had any progress on this? I have had this fault on one of mine for some time, tried another transmission ecu, tested wiring between that and Power Control Module, new earth strap to gearbox, and a couple of other desperate things but no joy on mine. The fault code I had initially was no communication TCM to PCM, then not actually giving faults now......
  14. Absolutely a relief indeed, thanks for posting it's sorted. Another for the knowledge base armoury.
  15. I bought the ipod / phone to AV lead from ebay, £1.29!!!!!! And it works - so far hey! Yes, including an envelope and delivery!
  16. Only a guess but have you put the key in the ignition and let it recognise it?
  17. If the selector is on windscreen, as it is on your photo, or foot + windscreen, the system will switch the AC on as it thinks you want to demist the screen. Turn it further round to say face and foot vents, and it should click out the AC. If it all goes off when you turn the climate power off then all's good. But there is another problem that occasionally occurs. The fan auto speed reg packs up so the fan is on full with no control, and when you switch off the fan stays on full and goes into recirc mode.
  18. Hub bearings? When it was all in bits and wheels off were they difficult to turn?
  19. It's sadly possibly that the calipers just didn't like being pushed back home that far, and the internal seal could be causing the mither as you say you lubed them up. I got a seal (2) / piston kit but I've not had time to do the job yet. I swapped the caliper last time for speed as I didn't have much spare time at all, and this is I hope prevenatative. Depends how handy you are but shouldn't be a nightmare to do, however have you checked ebay for calipers as I think I saw them for around £80? Yep - just checked again and a pair can be had for £140 - the PAIR. from a seller called jeep-chrysler
  20. Hi guys, When I tried my Mrs ipod in the AV inputs it played video to the overhead screen and sound all round! Sorry for the mini hijack but how is your engine doing @@andyb2000 ?
  21. Nope, but some weeks you'd be forgiven for thinking that the 2008 boxy shape wasn't quite as popular with owners as Chrysler hoped, due to the lack of activity on the 2008 on section of the forum........ If you fancy a laugh read up on the "idiosyncrasies", some may say problems, of the previous model years....... My tax on my LPG converted 3.3 V6 gets big discount (not really) down to "only" £270
  22. The IOD fuse is for the Body Control Module and various other things. It's been on very recently so worth a look back on recent posts but I think you need to check this one for draw only after at least 15 minutes of key out and exit the car, it monitors for internal lights, door closers and other bits for a while before going to standby mode.
  23. The part number would seem to be YY23BD1AA. Try a main dealer, they should be about £6 to £8 each. Or if a few of you got together we could get them from moparwholsaleparts.com in the States, just had a quick work out and even with delivery they would be around £8 each based on 4.
