  1. If it's the "transmission input speed sensor" there are usually a few on ebay. Don't count on it sorting it though, but it would be a nice one to go easy. They are a sort of beige plastic colour. They are located on the passenger side of the gearbox, better access with the wheel off from under the wheel arch. There is also an output sensor, if they are cheap enough could be possibly worth swapping them both while you're under it??
  2. Welcome pal!! Not that far from me hey! Stockport.
  3. Hi guys, it's coming time to get rid of my 2002 3.3 V6, so starting with the cloth seats I swapped out to put in the leather ones. Very Very good condition, but not many people want cloth. Located in Stockport, South Manchester. Cheap as chips, but only very local delivery The car will be up in the next couple of weeks, just going to get a MOT, which it will fail as the handbrake is disconnected, and for forward gears in is limp mode due to lack of TCM / PCM communication, so engine light is on and all gear blocks lit up. And while it's legally going to a pre booked MOT I will put some LPG in it.
  4. Hi Gordy, no mate these are super smooth engines and very mechanically quiet, my 05 has a VERY light tinkling from it. Silent on start, after a few second does it briefly, then buggers off till it starts to warm up. A proper camchain rattle should be pretty horribly evident! Mine may be a slightly worn chain, perhaps from a lack of frequent enough fresh oil, the petrols are very old tech and not meant to go far between, only 4000 to 5000, crap really. On mine I thought initially it could possibly be the hydraulic valve lifters not quite taking up the clearance, but now definitely not anything to do with dirty oil, been changed and engine flushed plenty of times in the 3 years driving it. I even tried 10/40 at one oil change as I had a load over from my Renault van, no difference. So I carried on and dumped it out & put the 5/30's in. Mine actually says 5/20 on the filler cap!!! But the book says any of them depending on ambient temp. The LPG solenoids are almost as loud on idle so I'm hardly worried about it . But I did have an alternator noise, which is odd as I just spotted you mention it in the other post for the 2.8 diesel !! Properly horrible and worrying when under load, either put it in gear or neutral with AC on, and really bad both together!! But was ok just sat idling in neutral, or loaded if you raised the revs to say 1500.
  5. On my (Renault Master) van, absolutely 100% yes Mike. Sorry, I just realised a small number of us refer to the Voyagers as a "van" being minivan of course, but not so many on the UK forum. So Bubba, initially I'd be getting some fluid and bleeding it - very carefully - use a pressure or vacuum kit - cos if you get it wrong like on my Master van the pedal will stick down and it's a git to sort out on your own, took ages :- )
  6. Hi there, Try bleeding the clutch fluid, could have air in it. Assuming otherwise it works fine and not slipping etc as Mike says. My van is the opposite, pressure builds up, and it must have some sort of non return valve built into the system to do this, so the biting point is high. After a bleed through the bite is much lower !? On this it shares the fluid reservoir with the brakes.
  7. Hi there! Battery not greatly relevant if you try it with the engine running. First try pulling the "IOD" ignition off draw fuse out for 20 minutes to reset lots if things and give it a go. It's in the box next to the battery.
  8. If you're genuine congratulations on the twins!! If not BEWARE OF THE LINKS SEE POSTS IN 300C AND CHRYSLER CHST
  9. BEWARE THE LINKS SEE POSTS IN CHRYSLER CHAT AND 300C SECTIONS, apologies if you're genuine
  10. JUST BEWARE THE LINKS - SEE POSTS ON CHRYSLER CHAT AND NEWBIE SECTION.
  11. Hi there! Try the coil pack and the connector to it, they live in a VERY hot place on our engines. Then plugs, and HT leads. Stuttering under load used to be an old fashioned symptom of dodgy plugs / leads, or before modern ignition systems it was timing out and points / condenser iffy (quite old now that one though hey!!!) Did the DVD ever work? It's the headphone button to switch on the screen in case you didn't know.
  12. I think it's related to the way the cable harness runs through the body, I've had trouble on all 3 GV's of ours, inc the travelling too far. I ended up hacked off one day holding it in position while the motor tried to position it - and it worked!!!! And not working at all, so I taped them still.
  13. From what i remember when searching for mime - they are actually different!!!! But they obviously perhaps must not be designed for long life span :- )
  14. Not necessarily, but seems like the owners of the 2008 on don't have as much of a need to be fixing them, or are less willing / able, or can afford not to, do it themselves, so aren't very active on here.
  15. At the 29" mine is on brand new complete strut assemblies with what seemed quality springs. These cars are heavy beasts, especially the diesel engine.
  16. Not aware of different dimensions. I can confirm that early and late ones will interchange, my 02 and 05 different shape and fixing design swap over, tried it a while ago out of interest.
  17. Yes mate, go to my member profile and onto my gallery, there are a couple of pics of it there.
  18. Why would you want to put headlights on when washing the windscreen? Just because it's raining doesn't mean you need lights! It never seems too much hardship for me to figure out it's dark to put my lights on, but then I've had a lot of years of practice. Unlike lots of cars currently which have illuminated dash regardless of the lights being on or not. So the driver is unaware they have no rear lights, and daytime lights only at the front. See it loads.
  19. Assuming you've got a diesel :- ) (I know yours is) If not you've got a very strange problem!!!!
  20. Yep something dodgy there then, and also for no light ! When ours was out of action the light was on all the time.
  21. You would have thought so, but as you can see the newer GV's section isn't quite as "popular" :- ) as the older ones! More reliable? Or simply less of them?
  22. No worries. I had mine done a couple of years ago, and the guy needed a security code from Chrysler for the ECU which he got with a phone call. So thinking about it I'm not sure how quickly that will happen, are there any dealers in Spain?
  23. When our abs motor was drowned in puddles by my wife entertaining the girls, the light came on, so I disabled it so we had proper brakes till it dried out! At the moment you've got full brakes I presume? How did you uncover the anti lock system isn't working?
  24. I wonder how he went on?? Gonna guess he's not coming back to tell us hey guys!
