1999 Grand Voyager Middle Seats Swap ?
bignev replied to Blackbi4d's question in Voyager 3rd Generation (1996-2000)
The 2002 will, and as the centre seat belt is built into the seat it works well. If you already have the 3 seat bench, then that's the only way to check for sure. But don't know if the 2002 would fit the 99 mountings. -
Not till I find room to shift them out of the garage :- ) They were mint when they came out, been sat in my dry garage for 2 years. If you are prepared to collect you can have them for free - seriously.

2.8 Auto Braking By Itself While Cruising To Halt
bignev replied to Alex's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Hiya Alex, if you let me know what the code is on the relay, I have a spare fuse box that might have some in, if so if you cover the post you can have them. -
Any Auto Trans Knowlege
bignev replied to blackvelvet's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Hi guys, just sticking my oar in too. Yep, Mopar ATF+4 absolutely definitely. I got 5 litres and a filter for about £50 last year, gone up this year, £58 from Latvia!!! -
Hi Guys! It's time to get rid of our 2002 3.3 V6 Grand Voyager. With an LPG TECH gas kit. It's still overall in very good nick, starts first time, but been off the road for a year and half. I have "driven" it backwards and forwards, but it's still not good for them hey. It has a now long standing problem, no communication TCM to PCM, and it's beaten me, so if you're up for a challenge, come on down. Only 2 owners from new us for 6 years, first for 10!!! Has a full leather interior, and the higher spec radio CD with the extra CD multi changer. I hope it can be of use for someone, but I really now want to move it we need the room, our 2007 Galaxy is going too, but the 2005 GV is staying. We've just bought a wheelchair adapted Kia Sedona, and are starting to block up the road Go on, make me an offer, it can't be driven away sadly, rather obviously. No MOT, but it didn't fail on much at all, slightly sticking brakes (no surprise) pooe handbrake wiper blades, engine light - but now gone off again, and ABS light due to corrosion on the reluctor rings. I suppose if I get desperate I will GIVE AWAY parts, to genuine forum members only, cut it up and weigh it in, but that would be just awful. What do you reckon? How much are you offering? £500?

2.8 Auto Braking By Itself While Cruising To Halt
bignev replied to Alex's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
I shall be keeping my fingers crossed on it for you Alex!! Thanks for the jolly good write up mate. And a good result finding a guy with kit clever enough to see the TCM - awesome that. -
Ah yes quire right on that one orangecrumble, very ethical of you. And good luck with the creation!

I am lead to believe that bugger all except a genuine Chrysler "starscan" will read the gearbox module on most of these. Certainly that's the case on my 2002 3.3 petrol. However my 2005 3.3, with a different layout of ecu's, and not a separate TCM, can be read with my mates "Autel Maxisys" if I've spelt it correctly. It can see everything, including the individual solenoids. But it's certainly a very strange ruddy thing you've got here. A ray of hope when changing the solenoid pack, then dashed soon afterwards. Where did you get it from? Ours is slightly noisy going in to first and reverse, so was considering a swap over. -
I was meaning with the bonnet up, a significant perceived difference. I couldn't vouch for the level from the drivers seat, but it will be interesting, defo. So then spawntohell, if you'd rather not have it on, and orangecrumble wants one, is there a deal forming??????????

My diesel Galaxy is WAY quieter with the cover on!!
-
Good one fella! Bit of polish and it'll be like new :-)
-
It could work out to be not so bad a situation for you then, let's hope hey mate!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
-
Oh bugger, but unless you want to of course don't let it go, they'll obviously sell it on through trade as a cat D for bugger all money and then traders made a butty on it. Right now of course it's still your car. But if you're fed up of all their little foibles, well could be a good time to "sell" it to them :-) One other reason I can't trust them is many years ago, about 15, I had enough money to buy a brand new motorcycle, which then due to an oil spillage I fell off after 2 month. When I went to meet the insurance assessor it had been damaged significantly more than when I slid it along then road. Strap marks on the petrol tank, busted fairing and screen, and they had "lost" a 700mm long section of the bottom fairing, in bright red.......... After that I didn't really want it back, I was gutted, not had a new one since. Well not a road bike anyway.
-
Oh bloody hell !!! I can't actually see any damage in that pic! Not bad bodyshop hourly rate that hey!!!!!!!! Well whatever you do, don't let them take it away, discuss it before and hopefully settle on them paying you a few quid for you to keep it! It was admittedly a few years ago, but the insurance wanted to take our Impreza to "secure" storage, from off the back of my drive which is behind a garage door at the front of the car port......... To then also request the service history (but your writing it off????) from us. So anyway we ended up keeping it, took the dosh, and I repaired it.

Rear Air Con Block Off
bignev replied to steviec2000's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Nope, but I got the set of 4 pipes (heating and AC) from Pentagon Barnsley - not so far from you - for about £180, ish. Precisely the same problem, obviously a 3.3 petrol. Rather awkward to fit if you can't get the car high up though! -

Hiya and welcome! Usually post the questions in the technical help areas, it's quicker to get answers normally! But yes, and yes

Burning Smell, High Rpm, Very Slow Movement Forward.
bignev replied to peterdemski's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
And of course do absolutely make sure that you check the atf fluid level in the gearbox. If it smells burnt, and isn't pinky red it's got a problem. Because in limp mode (2nd gear I believe, my old 3.3 is in it) at 3000rpm you'd still be doing a reasonable speed!! -
Hiya @@Orangecrumble and welcome! Have you seen the information on the other recent post regarding Mercedes van dealer sorting one of our guys out for a cover part?

Oh dear, that sadly is a new one. Have you checked recently the atf fluid level, only a guess. -
2.8 Auto Braking By Itself While Cruising To Halt
bignev replied to Alex's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Hi Alex, yes it could well be the brake pads very very low, grabbing on the discs, wheels off and caliper off to reveal them properly -
And give the sensor rings on the wheel side a clean with a gentle wire brush, if there is enough rust build up it may be getting a confused reading as to how many teeth it's counting.

That shouldn't worry you, I've had stuff for mine from Germany, Spain and naturally the good old USA. The parts I've had from Germany arrived in a couple of days on DHL each time, no problems. The USA was terrible, it was 5 days :- )
