hi I’m planning a coolant flush on my RG Voyager and have found a confusing amount of info on the subject, my manual is next to useless and just says HOAT coolant. g05 seems to be what’s mentioned on various posts, however I’ve discovered that g48 is compatible with g05 ( apparently Merc switched from 05 to 48 a few years ago? ) and as my Merc camper uses g48 I’m thinking to use it for the Voyager as well?
thoughts and advice please?
Hi RichardM, ok thanks, it was more out of curiosity really, there is light smoking when under load going up a long hill, and it starts ok but takes a couple seconds to do so, so I was wondering about worn rings hence doing a test?
Hi all, just purchased a 2006 voyager 2.5crd with bugger all service history and am about to do some preventative maintenance myself, timing belt and pump replacement, suspension bushes and front pads. Was wondering what the best way to do a compression test was considering I’ve been reading about this injector removal tool??? Can the test be carried out via the blow plugs?
many thanks
Danny
I know it was a while ago but how’d you get on? Ive just bought a Spanish plated 2006 Voyager with an ITV due in August and am about to replace timing belt, and suspension bushes and a compression test as well.
