Actually there is an SR 1.6 Diesel on a private sale nearby, and another 1.6 diesel auto with full leather, nav and double glass roof not far away. Ideally I wanted petrol, but I might give these a look as well.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll bear it all in mind. I was aware of the Multi-Air issues, although they seem mostly to be related to poor maintenance and infrequent oil changes / wrong oil. If the dealer is telling the truth, this car has had oil changes every 5500 ish miles, so hopefully should be OK.

I'm going to have a look at this Delta on Wednesday. 2012, 1 owner, 37k and allegedly, 7 stamps in the service book. It's a 1.4 Multi-air SE. Anything I need to be on the lookout for? Any help gratefully received

Hi everyone, my name is Tim and I'm a complete newbie. I'm going to look at a couple of Deltas on Saturday, a 1.4 Multiair petrol and 1.6 Diesel. I've never owned any FCA product before and I intend to use this as my daily drive and for business. I'm self-employed and live in rural Scotland, so although I want something a bit different from the norm, equally it will need to be dependable. Is there anything I should be looking for? what are the strengths / weaknesses of these cars. I'm used to MG/Rover and Vauxhall and a reasonably competent DIY mechanic, but I have absolutely no experience with these cars at all so any help will be much appreciated.
