  1. Mind did that, but it took a few weeks. put some fresh tape on them and cleaned the area of the head rest with leather prep - the stuff you use on shoes before colouring them - before re-applying, and so far they've stayed stuck. You need to use carpet fixing tape - ordinary double sided doesn't work at all.

    Hi! I'm Back!

They're just adhesive, so they will stick to the strip.

    Hi! I'm Back!

The paint code should be on a chrome sticker under the front edge of the bonnet. If you want the small Lancia badges for the rear quarters, here's the link for where I picked mine up. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-STEMMA-LANCIA-DELTA-MONTANTE-PORTIERA-POSTERIORE-ORIGINALE-logo-fregio-emblem/261698453162
  4. Actually, the twin tail pipe is something I'd like for mine too. My back box is fine right now but looks a bit crusty.
  5. Hello and welcome. That's a stunning car.
  6. Enjoy the car, it looks an absolute belter. I'm not keen on white cars, but the Delta just seems to suit it, especially with the black roof.
  7. I just had this pop up in my AutoTrader alerts. It's actually an SR, not an S. OK, it's probably top money but it's a stunning car and ultra low miles. Too good not to share: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201904307465043?radius=1501&model=DELTA&sort=datedesc&advertising-location=at_cars&make=CHRYSLER&postcode=g840lq&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=Used&page=1 I think if I was still searching, I'd consider breaking the bank and travelling south for it.
  8. Welcome Sammy, I'm a relative newbie to the Delta too, I've had mine since October. A great choice, enjoy the car.
  9. Good news that it's found a decent home. I missed out on about 5 in the 4 months or so I was looking, so 2 years really is dedication to the cause. I know what you mean about the car getting under your skin, I've found the same thing. Not since my long-term affair with the Rover 75 / MG ZT (15 years and counting), has a car drawn me in as much.
  10. I used some carbon fibre wrap and a 60mm wheel centre badge from eBay on my engine cover. Seems to be holding up so far... There's a thread on here of my "brand re-alignment" project.
  11. Hi and welcome. First thing to check: does the airbag light come on with the ignition and then go out? This would indicate that the car has done it's checks and is happy that the airbags are OK. A missing or deployed air bag would result in the light staying on. If there is no airbag light when you turn on the ignition, then it could be that someone has removed or blacked out the bulb to disguise a fault. This is now part of the MOT test and would result in a fail. I don't have specific experience of the Ypsilon, but I've spent a fair amount of time chasing airbag issues round other cars, and it can be a bit of a game. Hope you get it sorted out.
  12. Wasn't someone on one of the Lancia FB pages looking for a Delta Nello?
  13. Ah, OK. As I said, the Google search I did on the issue did pick it up, but seemed to attribute the problem to Cleaned, then over-oiled filters in all cases. Obviously that's not been your experience. I did notice that this filter seemed less "oily" than previous ones I've had. Others have left traces of oil on the cellophane when unwrapped but this one didn't.
  14. Thanks. I think if the "right" bits turn up at the right money, I'll probably swap them, but I'm happy with it as it is. Andrewgrale, you did spook me a bit re. the K&N. I've used the before in my cars when I did an awful lot more miles than I do now (Accord VTEC Coupe, Rover Tomcat, MG ZT, Celica) and never had an issue. I only fitted one because of the god-awful rigmarole changing them seems to be on the Delta, so a fit and forget for 4 to 5 years seemed a good idea. I did a bit of digging and the problem seems to arise when users clean, then over-oil them. K&N recommend cleaning every 50k, which on my current annual mileage is about 5 years away. The car will also be over 100k by then, so I think I'll take the risk
  15. Thanks.Good question re. the filter, I honestly don't know. It was the correct one for the car from K&N direct. Having used them in the past, this one didn't feel oily. Thanks, I used double sided carpet fixing tape, it sticks well to the back of the iron-on patch and, if briefly warmed up first with a hot air gun, sticks well to the head rest.
  16. Think I'm done with the re-badging now. I wanted to cover the "wings" on the head rests, but most of the Lancia patches I found were too small, so I found these Momo ones that are a perfect size. I kept the same theme going for the kick plates: ...matching one of my favourite wrist watches : I also knocked something up for the engine cover with carbon fibre wrap and a wheel centre badge, may have to re-think this later, but it does for now: So, other than the MFD logo, I think I'm about done. In other news, I've replaced the air filter with a K&N item. At least I won't have to do that job again for a while. Replaced the pollen filter as well, what a pig of a job that is.
  17. Apologies for not replying sooner, here is the eBay link: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-STEMMA-LANCIA-DELTA-MONTANTE-PORTIERA-POSTERIORE-ORIGINALE-logo-fregio-emblem/261698453162 Mine was a Chrysler delta, so no C Pillar logos originally. They are just stuck on, so warm them up with a hot air gun or hair dryer and use a piece of fine nylon string to pull behing them and lift them off. then clean any residue off with some Panel Wipe or nail varnish remover.
  18. More "brand re-alignment" completed. The little C-Pillar badges arrived. and the key-fobs have new shells and buttons:

    Delta Mudflaps

A couple of eBay sellers doing "semi tailored" ones. £40 for non OE seems a bit steep though.

    Delta Mudflaps

Really? I've just fitted 2 factory sets to brand new Audis. Saying that, they are more like little stone guards for the sill ends and rear bumper than full-on mud flaps. Bravo is a good thought I may try that.

    Delta Mudflaps

Living in rural Scotland, one thing I always fit to my cars is a set of mudflaps. I find they really help keep down the road rash and tar spots; tar is a real pain up here with all the cheap road repairs and surface dressing. I can't seem to find a factory set of tailored mudflaps for the Delta, does anyone know if they did them, or of a suitable semi-tailored alternative?
  22. Welcome, I've become a Delta owner in the last 6 weeks or so. Enjoy the car, I'm loving mine. I have a 2012 1.6 SR in Perla Sirena - a sort of pearlescent beige. I'm in the process of making mine back in to a Lancia. As far as meets go, that's a good question. Although I'm probably as far away from you as it's possible to get as I'm in West Scotland
  23. I'd like to do the kick plates. Mine have carbon fibre effect vinyl wrap over them at the moment. I did see a nice set on Amazon, but they're out of stock. Headrests I'd do if a set turned up at the right price. I had a right result with the air bag, it was literally brand new, still in a sealed FCA box. £120 delivered.
  24. That's the airbag swapped over. Didn't take very long at all. The new one from Italy had the right connectors, so it's all good. I did have a slightly worrying moment after I re-connected the battery and started the car; all sorts of warnings flashed up on the MFD. However after I'd driven a few feet and turned the steering wheel they all went away. I've stopped and re-started the car since and it hasn't done it again. I guess it was re-learning stuff after the battery disconnect
