I presume you mean the whole rear light unit, as the reverse light is integrated!? I got mine off Italian eBay for around £140 delivered.
-
You lucky lucky lucky barsteward!!!
-
Ha-ha love this quote!! If we had a hall of (fame) quotes, this would definitely be up there!!
-
Welcome to the fold fella, she looks a beaut! I said it would be worth holding out for an SR or above, and it certainly looks like it's paid off!
-
I'm pretty sure your old Astra would have been 5 stud, where the Delta for some stupid reason is only 4. Best to buy a spare off eBay from the last generation of the Fiat Bravo, or get another Alloy.
-
^^80k^^ you wanna borrow my glasses!?
-
Hmm like a fine women... still a pain in the ass when it wants to be!!
-
Get a tech to look at it then. Something isn't right as it should be light like both of mine have been. Out of interest I wonder if any of the Fiat Bravo boys have had similar problems? Might be worth having a look on the Fiat forum?

Going To Look At This On Wednesday, Any Advice?
MikeyRules replied to TJB's question in Chrysler Delta
Shame the auto's not a manual as that is well spec'd car! Especially with the double glass roof. In fairness I'm not sure how the auto drives, but even on the new Alfa's with the 8 speed ZF auto gearbox I'm not convinced they're for me. -
I've had my 1.6jtdm SR for almost 4 years now and the clutch is pretty light, and was exactly the same on my wife's 1.6jtm2 Mito. The clutches are self adjusting, so usually no intervention is required. Where does yours bite? Is it almost at the top of the pedal or about half way where it should be? If at the top it's on it's way out... I'd be surprised if it was an issue caused by the pedal box, and I've never heard of anyone swapping them out? Now if you owned an Alfa GT 1.9 or even a 156 sport then I'd sympathise with you as they are all notoriously heavy with little long term cures available.

Great advice Ian! One of my number plate lamps failed and the bulb out indicator light up on the dash... I hopped out of the car, gave it a thump and it came back on lol! Been fine now for about a month!

Well good luck and hope it's as good as it sounds! The only other thing to mention is that an SE is pretty basic, so given how cheap these cars are is it worth holding out for an SR, Limited or Momo S? Just a thought.... -

Check for any suspension knocks and bangs. These are prone to snapping a spring at this age. The multiair unit can have problems too, but Nello would be best to advise on that one as he's been through the replacement avenue. He would be best to advise on symptoms to look for. Other than that they're pretty good. Obviously with it being a 6 year old car check the general wear and tear, cambelt, pulleys and water pump should have been changed by now too. So if that hasn't been done factor that into your negotiations. -
Great advise from Andrew and Neil. Deffo the best place to start. Like Neil says these cars are a little detatched and vague...and they don't have the best steering feedback anyway. Although to be fair no worse than a lot of modern cars.
-
Neil did you fit anything better thqn standard headlight bulbs in the Delta like nightbreakers etc? Or was it just the 500x?
-
I get the feeling I'm not going to enjoy this when one of mine pops lol
-
Who's is that?
-
Yep mines the same... Still wish I'd managed to get some Eibach's though
-
Wow lucky save... Get a Gates kit, and as said make sure the water pump is a decent brand with the metal impeller. I had an Alfa GT once where the plastic impeller would occasionally stop spinning letting the water temp rise dramatically, then would spin again and the temp would drop back to 90.
-
Good spot Neil I notice they do this back box in two flavours, one with bumper cut out and one without...
-
Most tech's use 'Gates' kits as they are better than OEM. I pay around £70 usually for the complete kit including water pump.
-
Ah man.... We're away again! I'll make it one year I promise!

Ok well good luck with it fella! If all else fails there's Motormech in Birmingham, who Nello uses on here. Address: 1 Shaw's Passage, Birmingham B5 5JG, 0121 633 9823 http://www.motor-mech.co.uk/index.asp -
Enging Management Fuel Pressure P1064 Fault
MikeyRules replied to Josboogz's question in Chrysler Delta
Yeah all the online stuff relates to fuel pressure. Whereabouts are you? You could with getting the car to a Fiat/Alfa specialist really for proper diagnosis as they'll use Examiner to read the codes and reset, then they can determine if this is mechanical or electrical glitch. The code you’ve listed is an OBD-II trouble code that the sensor has detected a fuel pressure problem. In many cases, it’s due to a blockage of fuel within the primary fuel rail or the return hose. It is also common that the fuel rail pressure sensor is faulty and causing a false reading. When this occurs, it triggers the ECU to make adjustments to the fuel pressure and mixture. It can cause increased engine idle issues. -
Ah fair enough fella, it sounds like you did everything you could to mitigate any problems. Just unlucky by the sounds of it. Hopefully you'll stick with it, and get it all sorted!
