Yeah saw that... Needs a couple of tyres and the TPS light is on because of the nearside rear tyres cracked. Needs a new complete off side mirror as it's being held together with duck tape, all 4 wheels refurbing and about 12 dings, dents and scratches (some through the paint) to make perfect, oh and the front discs/pads replacing!
-
Not sure about a setting for the rear lights with DRL's as most cars suffer the same problem. But there definitely will be a region for the central display to get it to say 'Lancia'... It's just having a play with the menu's in Examiner to find it. Just like the Meta alarms, with the right country region set you can make it silent for arm/disarm and only flash the lights. I did that on my 939 Spider, Brera and 1750tbi 159SW.
-
You see loads of cars that have forgotten to put their lights on, and are just driving on front DRL's. So dangerous really... You'd think how safety driven the market is that they'd make that standard!

That does sound good! Must admit I can't remember how much I paid for mine? Yeah Headrests ae stupidly expensive as are the engine covers for what basically a bit of plastic. I would have liked a set of the 18's found on the Limited, especially in black with the edges polished silver.
-
Yeah that's all normal Tim. Doesn't it make a massive difference having a Lancia badge in front of you! I stopped after all exterior badges, sill plates and airbag. I meant to do the engine cover and headrests but never got round to it. I even tried to find the setting in Examiner to change the the start up file to Lancia on the info display. But for some reason couldn't find it.

No providing you power down the car properly you should be fine.

The spring clips can be hard to locate by feel at the back of the steering wheel. From memory you'll need to break the seal as the leather covers the holes. Use a flat blade screwdriver (long one) to poke down the holes to locate the spring clips, and once you think you can feel them at the end of the driver push firmly and you feel one side release...obvs repeat for the second one too.
-
Ask the driver how the auto box feels when pulling away. If you can also get him to try reverse too. If you stand by the car while it's in line and before it goes through the block you'll get time. I try and go the day before auction and blag the keys from the key office. then although you'll be hemmed in by other cars at least you can crawl all over it, dip the oil/check fluids etc, look at the service book, and generally get a good feel for the car.

Because your first and last posts will be these ones. You've not added any value to these forum's during your ownership, and have only come here for your own gain. Regarding price It's a limited appeal product in base spec and auto, like I said good luck... You'll need it!

Delta Sr Spotted On Trade Auction Site...
MikeyRules replied to MikeyRules's question in Chrysler Delta
I'm quite surprised it's not already live... -
Not one to dis someone's sale normally... But first post here, and it's selling your car!? Retail money for a private sale...good luck with that lol! Plus it looks like a base model too, and the MOT runs out on the 12th Feb!
-
Not sure to be honest... Never really looked at Autos, I usually filter them out in searches lol ?. Rear parks weren't standard on the SR, so think the customer would have had to tick the option box for those. Tbh UK spec's were rubbish compared to Europe. I'd have loved the 1750tbi engine in a Limited with black wheels and twin roofs.
-
3.5k is a poo giulietta, you'd not get a decent one for that. I have trade accounts and would struggle to find anything like decent at that kind of money. Good luck, but I think if you're chasing sub 3k, you'll be waiting a while unless you don't mind high mileage or something that needs work.
-
Your budget must be low then? Surely up to £3.5 is a good value for a Delta, especially if well spec'd with history and low miles?
-
They're cracking cars to be honest. Both me and Neil (Nello) never intended keeping them so long, but the problem is what else could you get for the money? The Alfa Romeo Giulietta is way more expensive and not as practical for rear legroom or boot space. You wouldn't buy the Fiat Bravo over the Delta even though they're the same underneath... I don't really like much that isn't Italian, so for me unless I went for an older Alfa most of which I've owned before, I'm stuck lol.
-
Yay good lad! Looks great doesn't it, putting it back to the way it should be!

Welcome fella! Most of us have/had Alfas here, so not too far away from the fold in our little Italian section of the Chrysler forum. When you say you missed out on two at auction, do you mean you were outbid or didn't bid? Just curious as the SR with twin sunroofs is quite rare, and unless it had mega miles, at £2400 is a bargain, even with fees on top. Don't dismiss the 1.6 as it's still a great engine, and tuned produces similar output to the 2l, but with cheaper insurance and road tax.

Delta Sr Spotted On Trade Auction Site...
MikeyRules replied to MikeyRules's question in Chrysler Delta
No I didn't bid on it, and forgot to check around the end time.. It's a trade only auction, so it will have gone for around cap clean which I think was around £2400/£2600. -
If anyone's interested... Could be a cheap bargain for someone.
-
Only ever had two in the back of mine and they only left a tiny gap between them at the shoulders of the seats. The Multimac 3 seater is your best option, although I've no idea how expensive they are? If going down the single seat route they'd need to be pretty narrow child seats to fit.
-
That is expensive compared to the UK market. An Abarth 500c here tend to start around the £7k mark for something like a late 2012 car with mileage in the 40k (miles) range. That is retail though, so about £1500 less to the trade.
-
As said earlier in the thread I didn't get a part number unfortunately. Just use a reg number off a late registered (2007 - 2014) Fiat Bravo 1.6/2.0 diesel off Autotrader or eBay and use that to order the springs. They're identical and cheap as chips!
-
Yes I echo that, please share! One of the great things about this forum is leaving a trail of useful info for current and future Delta owners, as there's nothing else out there catering for this car.

Oh yeah totally forgot! I must have been having a blonde moment!

You're just having a mid-life crisis Rosso! It's like lust and not love... Your hard-on eventually softens and you realise you need some longer term stimulation!
