  1. As the saying goes... You pays your money and takes a chance! They even tried to bribe me by saying that if I'd change my feedback to positive (which can't be done anyway) they would send out a replacement! Cheeky B**tards! I would mind but they didn't even post it for about 3 weeks, so that probably was the main reason it took so long to arrive... Anyway talking of badges...These finally arrived! They are slightly darker than the alloys, but don't look too bad as the match the car colour. What an absolute sod to fit though as the spring clip is really tight. One was so tight it snapped two of the lugs on the back so had to get some plastic glue to fix them back on again. Anyway fortunately its worked and its on the car tight. The Nav unit has also arrived, but due to work load and Christmas incoming I've not had time yet to even have a proper butchers let alone fit it... Pretty good spec though!
  2. Just be careful with that Italian company (Car Passion) as I ordered a rear Alfa badge earlier this year and it took nearly 5 week to come. Then when I opened the jiffy bag the badge was bent and creased as all they'd done to protect it was cellotape it to a flimsy piece of cardboard! When I complained about the badge and how long it had taken to arrive they just said they couldn't be held accountable for post or the damage! I could have effin walked it to the UK quicker, so left them neg feedback...
  3. How have you got on Neil? Have you managed to sort it?
  4. I really like this colour combo Neil, and even my wife commented how nice your car was when she saw the pic's you posted of FB fella! In Italy they also do one in cream/black which we first saw on the Lido just out of Venice back in 2009!
  5. No it's the only thing that's still outstanding from Italy at the moment! When I removed the airbag from my Discovery 3 I had follow a power down process. 1. Wait for the dash instrumentation to go out. 2. Disconnect the battery and wait 15 minutes. 3. Using an airbag removal tool (which inserted into two locating holes on either side of the back of the steering) hook the springs and pull hard to release the airbag. 4. carefully disconnect the airbag loom. 5. Re-connect new Airbag and push firmly back into place. I've not looked yet at the back of the airbag, but it can't be that different...
  6. I hate start/stop and think it's just another European misguided pain in the ass! I don't think I have it either as there isn't an on/off switch under the head unit?
  7. Can't say I have, although to be honest I've only filled up once! The cap does seem a little flimsy though... Have you tried some loob? Or is it and electrical problem?
  8. Well those mats are sh*te! The drivers side one isn't even the right shape?? I'll get a pic when it's daylight to show you what I mean! Also you have to use a bradawl to create a hole in the floor for the securing lugs. As they're made of plastic and the floor is quite thick unless you make the hole really wide the lugs snap when trying to screw them into the hole... So one is now in two pieces, so am going to have to find some more. P.S: Love that 'S' Rosso! Saw that a couple of days after I bought mine... I would have been tempted, but at a couple of grand more think I've made the right decision!
  9. Yeah Rosso's right they can be stiff as they're never used. Try some WD40 in the lock or similar and have another go. As for the battery I guess it could be on it's way out if your car is now 3 years old? Batteries don't like the cold, and this is the time of year they generally fail if they are going to.
  10. Yeah I've just some too although it's too dark and peeing down to be able to fix it....
  11. Actually while we're on the subject of armrests... Does anybody else's squeak like mad against the drives seat? Mine is driving me mad as it squeaks and creaks against the leather bolster. If I insert a finger (Oooh Eer) it stops! I might try and find some of that self adhesive loop (from hook & loop) material and try sticking that to the side of the seat to see if that works.
  12. This car like the Guilietta was designed to be left hand drive. If you look at the foot wells the left hand side is much wider than the right, also in left hand drive form you have a footrest right next to the door. Fiat/Alfa/ Lancia have been lazy with the right hand drive position just like in the Guilietta. In right hand drive the transmission tunnel gets in the way and there's no where to put out your left foot, other than underneath the pedal. I have to say the left-hand drive Delta is a better car comfort wise and I enjoyed the 1.9tt in the 3 weeks I had it last year in Tuscany. I have the seat similar to you Rosso in that I'm sat quite far back and usual Italian straight arm position, just with the seat at it lowest setting, steering as far towards me as it will go, and slightly reclined... I have to say it's not that bad once you get used to it, and not much different to most of the Alfa's I've owned. The 159/Brera and Spider do have better steering reach though and a decent foot rest.
  13. Yeah the dash is a nice touch, and reminds me of the Brera S... I wish the front seat were longer in the base though! My Ti's have all had extendable squabs, so you can alter the length to get more leg support. The rear seats are great as my little girl is still in a car seat but still has lots of room for her legs and can't even kick the seat in front which is a bonus. On the few occasions my wife has been in the back she preferred it over my last 159ti Sportwagon for space and comfort especially when reclined.
  14. Yeah mine are exactly the same! Even got the fixings to lock them to the floor... What's this mopar nonsense then? Is it another American company that came as part of the Chrysler deal then? When I first saw the logo I thought it was Mangoletsi Alfa Romeo!
  15. It must have been on the options list... I've found a full leather interior on Ebay, but have become quite attached to the Leather/Alcantara combo in mine now so probably won't bother.
  16. It was interesting to see a full leather interior in a 1.6 SR... He made me laugh though when he was talking about you ar*e getting cold without heated seats, and whan talking about naming your car Fred or Daisy!
  17. Hahah alright keep your hair on! My £20 Delta mat set has just arrived....and well they look like a £20 set
  18. Have a look at this chaps... It made me laugh! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5T0hY7q3Zs
  19. Where did you get that info from Rosso!? It does seem a little odd?
  20. No you're absolutely right... It's Rosso that needs it changing on his factory fitted Nav, and all 3 of us that will need the little display between the rev counter & speedo updating to Lancia.
  21. If two's a Duo, is three a 'Herd' of Deltas? Let's hope we can inspire some more fellow enthusiasts to join the party! Yes at least we can all bounce ideas off each other and share info whether it be where to buy or how much etc...I've fitted the little 25 x 25mm Lancia rear quarter badges today, and am impatiently (read very impatiently) waiting for Postman Pat to delivery the rest of my goodies... Re the Reg: The only pain in the *ss is that the DVLA have closed all of their regional offices at the beginning of this year and centralised everything back in Swansea. I now have to post off the assignment application and wait several weeks before being able to display the plate. The only saving grace is that I haven't had the V5c back yet anyway... Looking forward to seeing some pic's of your fancy sill plates!
  22. Before I get my todger cut off by the wife.... This is my last purchase!!!! (Well for this year anyway)
  23. Ah you star, that will be really helpful!! The ones I've found on eBay don't look right to me... they are the usual stainless steel type but with one side curved over to form a lip, and I'm fairly sure they won't fit over the plastic strip. Yours sound like they are a great compromise!
  24. Are the T-Jet's 17'' or 18''? From a ride perspective I'd like to stay with 17s and they're cheaper for tyres too... Although having said that, the car does have huge overhangs so looks better on 18's... As said before I do love the circle designs that Alfa use, so may try and find something to suit when my bank balance recovers from all the eBay Italia purchases this week!!
  25. I'd be very surprised if 18's make a real difference to the wheel lock... after all going up one size of wheel means the tyre profile comes down to enable the rolling radius to remain the same. The size and shape of the car make 17''s look lost and the arches are quite bit to begin with. Where did you hear that the steering lock was restricted on cars with 18's? Where are you located? (I'm in Cheshire) If we could find a central dealer maybe we could have all 3 cars done at the same time? Maybe a Fiat/Alfa/Lancia specialist would be better than a Chrysler dealership? As long as they have Fiat Examiner it should be fairly straight forward. The central display between the Rev/Speedo also shows the Chrysler logo and wings as you get in the car, so this will need changing too...
