Yeah that's a fair point and accepted. Perhaps hate was a little strong and as stated I probably need to see them in the flesh.
-
Ha-ha maybe...Alfa Romeo until I die... No in fairness I love all things Italian. If totally honest I prefer classic Lancia as I don't think current cars are built as well as Alfa, but in my 100k dream garage I'd have a Beta Coupe and a Montecarlo in a heartbeat...
-
Ah yes that's the puppy!! DOH can't believe I'd forgot that... must be old age setting in!
-
Sorry Rosso I hate those wheels with every fibre of my body... Each to their own as they say. I'd like to offer up some of the horseshoes and see if the Lancia suits them, as I've not seen it done before, so am baffled as to why you think they'd look odd?
-
Yes should be fine.... For me Italian cars should have either horseshoe or circle design wheels, as any car can have multi-spokes... I'd love these on mine in a dark anthracite. Or there more modern equivalent
-
Yes as Rosso says I'm fairly sure if you press the volume up on the steering wheel as she waffles it will make her louder.
-
I have a pictures in my mind of a rather blackened face and a hand holding a screwdriver!

Cheers fella, I've joined! It's good to find new sources of info and see what our Italian cousins are doing... Found the installation instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qKUgbbHthM ...and the eBay advert. http://www.ebay.it/itm/AUTOMATIC-OPENING-BOOT-TAILGATE-SPRINGS-LIFTING-KIT-ALFA-ROMEO-MITO-/231475227354?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_101&hash=item35e4ffaada Think this is the right one for our cars. It says Alfa Romeo Mito in the title, but further down the ad it lists our Delta if I've understood the google translation properly
-
Where the hell did you find that!? That's got my name written all over it lol! TBH it looks like it's just springs you need as the fob already opens the boot, so presumably the springs just give it the shove it needs to push the tailgate upwards!? I wonder what the springs are from as they are small and coated black?
-
Yeah as Neil says Bravo ones should be fine... I did wonder about Alfa wheels as I much prefer them over any of the delta or bravo ones... Blackline GT or 147 GTA wheels would look awesome! Could do with checking the off-set and stud pattern as a lot of Alfas are 5 stud.

You can't really tell as once it's off you still can't see behind the front cover as the electronics and airbag are in the way... Prize it off...What could possibly go wrong!? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuFgUiRuFYA

How retro lol. I remember my Opel Manta Exclusive having side rubbing stripes that had been dealer fitted. I hated them as they ruined the lines of the car, so removed them which was a PITA!
-
Rosso as I said in my previous post about the airbag removal... When you insert the frat blade screw driver angle the tip towards the dashboard and you should be able to feel the bar. Once pressed firmly you should hear the airbag unclip and pop forward slightly. The trick is to firm and apply enough pressure to release the clip on each side...

Looks great Paskey! I really like the black 'n' white look! You'll have to wait a while for Neil to reply about the Martini stripes though as he's like a women's ovary cycle and only appears about once a month ha-ha.
-
Great to hear Stuart! I'm glad you found a good one and welcome to the family! Post some pics when you get chance!?
-
Cheers, much appreciated!

Ha-ha I've embraced both petrol and diesel as they both have their place... Diesel's are better for tuning, but you can't beat the burble of a big petrol unit! So is yours a manual but with the shift notification on the screen telling when you should shift then? Mine doesn't have that if it does...
-
Yeah You're right Neil... I never noticed that! That Multi-air engine is a little cracker too... If I wasn't burning reserve while trying to find another career I'd buy that to replace my wife's ageing 147! It would be easy to have the roof and tailgate wrapped in gloss black!
-
No it should have come in a clear packet also tucked in one side of the polystyrene in the box. Double check the box and if not you'll need to contact them...

This is what Parkers says about the engine when fitted in the Bravo: There are two turbocharged versions of the 1.4 petrol engine called T-Jet - one with 120bhp and the other with 150bhp. The 120bhp version was launched later in 2007, while the 150bhp engine was available from day one. Both variants boasts the same pulling power in Active and Dynamic versions, but slightly more in Sport models thanks to an overboost function. This means the Sport can cover the 0-62mph benchmark sprint in 8.2 seconds, making it the quickest in the range. The T-Jet engines are both superb with a peppy nature that suits the Bravo well but for higher mileage drivers the diesels make more sense. I had one in Italy (In a Ypsilon) and although ok on the move, I found it really struggled on the hills especially if loaded up with passengers and suitcases. I nearly burned the clutch out on more than one occasion. In the delta which is a heavier car I can't say it would be something I would consider! The 1.4 multi-air would be my choice if going petrol! I can't believe this hasn't gone tbh, as with a little negotiation could be had for 6k. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201412049437531/sort/default/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/make/chrysler/radius/1500/page/1/model/delta/postcode/sk42je/usedcars?logcode=p

Ryan with regard to the cables stopping the unit being pushed back fully you just need to make sure they have somewhere to go, and clear the central brace at the back of the cage. You need to get you hand in there and organise them so they move out the way when you push the unit in... The Aerials for the TV plug into the small black DVB box and this can be located behind the glove box (Aerials stuck to top left of the windscreen with one Horizontal and the other vertical) Their should be a thick black cable with a round multi-plug at one end which plugs into the black DVB box and the other end is the flat white multi-type plug like the others that connects into the back of the head unit from memory. See pic!

Yeah that's a good point about the colour... Hadn't really thought about that! Yeah would be interested especially at that price!

Whey Hey as Cheggers would say! Welcome back fella! I'm in Qatar at the moment looking for Project Mgt work at the mo, where the day time temps have been circa 28c with clear blue sky's... So no frosty shots or Italian cars to be found here lol! Those Martini stripes look pretty good... What sort of price were they and is the guy able to do some more? Rosso's looking into some chrome style ones but they potentially will be in the £65 plus bracket!

Yes my brother in law has just mentioned that Nokia had a beta version of off-line maps and that it might be worth a try... The Italian supplier isn't responding to my emails surprise surprise, so it looks like we're on our own from a support perspective. I'll give this a go when I'm back in the UK. The Naviextras Nav supplied is really good to be honest, but in order to update/add maps you need to know the version of Android you're running, and screen size etc...and that's what they don't seem to be able to tell me.
