    Springs

I'm pretty sure they'll be fine. I bought Bravo 2 springs for mine and they were identical.
  2. Well you're in the right place fella! Welcome to our little Italy corner of the Chrysler forum! You've probably noticed by now there's a few die hard Italian car lovers here with similar Alfa/Fiat/Lancia ownership to yourself plus tonnes of Delta specific info collected as we've all transformed our Delta's or had issues. I get the FB UK page you've set up, and your point about forum hosting etc, I really do... I've help run enough car clubs over the years to experience first hand when things go wrong. Plus to some extent forums are dying because of Facebook and it's simplicity to post pics or attachments etc. I think where the forum still wins over fb is the ability to separate conversations and then search against them if you need to find a specific topic or issue you have. FB isn't great at that unless like AROC or Alfabook where they've had to create lots of model or regional specific group pages, and then you have to join them all. Anyway happy to contribute and help anyone as always whether it's here or on fb.
  3. Yes saw it too... Trying to reinvent the wheel... When there's 5 years worth of knowledge, experience and information already documented here. 5 years too late, and FB is useless for using as a knowledge base.
  4. My Delta was the 1.6jtdm diesel and that was the 6 speed manual. Actually more common than the auto, well certainly in the UK anyway. Unless you meant no auto on the 1.4ma?
  5. Agree as it's a close to a new one you're going to get! Shame it's only SE spec, and the auto won't be great either! I still don't understand why FCA didn't use the TCT gearbox from Alfa as that's a peach in comparison.
  6. In short... No. Once I realised it was a whole dash out job, and the fact my fault was only on the 'recirculation' circuit it wasn't worth the effort. I simply jammed the flap open to allow fresh air in, which meant I only lost the ability to close the air off from outside on the odd occasion that I would have wanted to limit outside smells coming into the cabin! Everything else worked fine, and where you wanted it...
  7. I'm surprised it's not on a 'buy it now' over the weekend? That's what usually happens when they don't sell at the block.
  8. Did you cross reference with a 2.0ltr Bravo? Last time I just had a quick look on Autotrader found a 2012 2.0l Bravo and used the registration number to search for the part.
  9. Hi Nico, and welcome to the club! The Navi unit will require the loom as the connections will be different. Unfortunately most used units don't come with any wiring, so you'll find it difficult to install. My advice would be to go for a good quality branded aftermarket unit instead as it will be much more straight forward to fit.
  10. Haha I was just checking that you were still reading all the posts lol! Good point Spud! I hadn't seen the thread title, so missed that bit... Here's the car in question... It's a grade 3 car, so a good few dents, scratches and chips, plus new fog light and two wheel centre caps required. There's no mechanical report, so difficult to know if there's any other issues other than from the MOT history. MOT'd until Sept 2020, where it states on the advisories that new front tyres are required soon, as are new front discs and pads, plus worryingly some play in the steering rack!
  11. Can't be arsed to log in... Not the best colour, but what spec and engine is it?
  12. Nearly bought a ZTT once. I guess Rover/MG fit with my liking the left field choice... As for the 166 Spud ?... The interiors are more Maser than Alfa. Has to be a facelift though as the pre's are feckin ugly!
  13. Looking great Mike! Top work and so quickly too! Love the reg...
  14. Nice one Mike, glad it's all coming together for you! I've used Alfashop loads over the years, and Jamie Porters Workshop too. Both great for anything fiat-alfa- lancia... For me changing the airbag was one of the biggest impacts on the interior look and feel, so a great thing to get ticked off the list!
  15. So have got 'J's' blessing then? ...and have you found a Brera S to do the deed?
  16. Wow that looks brand new again! Great job fella!

Now I know where the screws are and how it all comes apart I think I could probably get the bits off in about 20-30 minutes. Remove the glove box. Remove Trim near the door. You can then remove the glove box housing, once this is out you can easily see the 3 motors. (Important note: There is something sat on top of the glove-box housing, looks very much like something to do with the air bag or immobiliser, I chose not to unplug it and set it to one side.) The passenger mixing motor is the hardest to get to, two of the bolts you can easily put a socket on the third is a little more difficult and has wires and a bolt in the way. I've yet to find anywhere to buy just the plastic actuator arms, the motors are about £70, but my motors work as far as I can see.
  18. Not sure if you've seen this? It was on one of the links on the second post: Re: Climate Control IssuesRight, thought I'd re-visit this thread with an update. My problems were purely on the passenger side, drivers side I can't help. (UK car, so right hand drive) But basically after Fiat quoted me a huge sum of money to fix the problem and independent garages didn't want to take the job after short inspection. I decided to live with it...until this summer, been hot as hell recently huh. So last night I decided to see if I could do anything and I was surprised how easy it was: All three of the motors on the passenger side are accessible with only a small amount of dashboard removal. The parts that need removing are the glove-box and glove box housing. Once these are out you have very easy access to the two direction motors, and you can actually see the temperature mixing motor. Two of the screws can be taken out without any problem. The third is buried behind a metal pillar, but can be accessed (prepare for scrapped knuckles). I then took a working arm from the direction motor and plugged it into the temperature one put it back on, turned the cogs so the air is going onto the windscreen until I can find some replacement arms/motors. I've now got a working temperature on both sides of the car and it currently going to the windscreen while I order (try to find) new motors/plastic arms to replace the broken ones. I thought I'd update this thread since people seem to think that it's a huge job and the entire dashboard needs to come out, well it doesn't. I'm not a mechanic or an electrician or even all that handy with DIY stuff and managed it. When I do find the motors/arms and need to dismantle again I'll post some pictures to help people out. I don't visit the forum too often, but I know there is very little info out there for the Bravo

  20. A little bit closer in Ned from Autolusso in Bedford. Been in the Italian car business for a long time, and certainly come highly recommended. https://www.autolusso.co.uk/

  22. Yes completely agree re-the foot rest, although the left hand drives are fine. No I think it's more than that... The rear leg room in a Giulietta is no where near as good as the Delta. Ok partly driven by the fact the Delta rear seats slide and recline, but those are also plus points against the G. With the seats slid back the legroom in the rear of the Delta has to be class leading and great for family use. (Better than 939 series Alfas too! So Brera, 159 saloon and Sportwagon) Even being able to slide the single seat forward leaving the double part of the bench back gives great boot space flexibility too! Then there's the chassis dynamics, and again I think the Delta rides and turns in better than the G too. Everyone comments on how well the Delta goes down the road... Even my Mastertech who is worse than me for his obsession over Alfa loved driving my Delta! Obviously looks are subjective, and both are good looking cars, but the Delta plays the 'rare sight on UK roads' card too, so bonus points for exclusivity too! So why do I find myself now looking for a Giulietta at twice the price then! Because my misses won't drive anything else! (Now I only have myself to blame for that lol)
  23. If it's just cosmetic Tim, maybe hydro dipping is the answer!?
  24. Wow what a cheap car that was! Even in basic SE spec that's still a bargain! The market perception of cars always makes me laugh! I still stand by the fact that the Delta IS a better car than the Giulietta! ...and that's coming from someone who loves Alfas!
