Ah Ryan that makes more sense as I was wondering how someone had ended up with a Navplus! So how come you decided to sell up and move on? What have you replaced it with?

Hmm got married in a 300c then left FCA to go and work at Maserati!! He's obviously having a good year lol! He might be a great source of information then and I bet he could unlock some of the hidden extras perhaps!?
-
Well you obviously have more patience than me lol, as I quite often snap clips or something similar! ...and let's be honest if the Italians can find a way of making engine parts more difficult to work on they will!

What a pain in the a$$ that all sounds... Alfa's are no better to be fair and in most cases you usually end up breaking something else! I'm going to try Peak Alfa when mines due an MOT and service.... as he's a really good Indie and doesn't make up issues that aren't there like most stealers.

Hadn't really though about Canbus other than the Canbus box that came with the head unit to maintain the steering wheel controls. What else is there Rosso?

Yes that's what made me stop and stare when I saw the dash display... It's not like there's a 4 litre V8 in the range that might warrant LPG to offset the high fuel bills!

Rod what version of Delta have you got? SE-SR-Limited? Just interested as I'm fairly sure I didn't have an 'Amp' feed in the loom at all... Right I've now got a working version of Nokia HERE safely downloaded onto the head unit. It was a bit of a faf but found an APK version 1.1 on a trusted link so thought I'd give it a go... I'll report back once I've had a play with it....Oh and also found one for WAZE but that does require a data connection whereas HERE is offline once you've downloaded the maps.

Found this on the Italian Delta facebook page...

So about £74 at current exchange rates.... Did you manage to get a part number?
-
Yes I'd like the proper ones ideally. So what are the part numbers and what sort of price were they?
-
Yeah I saw the luggage net, but wasn't sure I'd use it tbh... Boot edge protector? What does that look like?

I'm really desperate to find the normal sills with Lancia on... Searches still aren't throwing up any positive results... I bloody hate that Chrysler badge staring at me like an ugly spot when I open the door!! Any reply from your sticker man Neil? Oh nearly forgot to mention: Does anybody else's temp displays differ? My climate control unit is usually half a degree different from the one in the binnacle!?
-
Ha-ha now that is funny! So how much were they? £40?

Rod I didn't mention the off-line version of Google Maps as I couldn't get it to work at all after download, so I'm amazed it's worked for you at all, unless they've produced an update since I last connected to Wi-Fi? Which aerial booster did you get in the end? Was it the one I linked earlier in the thread? You need to drop the power lead down to the cigarette lighter socket and take your feed from the back...

Google maps works well, but you'll need to have your phone tethered as it requires internet and data access. I have another Nav App downloaded that works off-line that I've been trailing for a couple of weeks but so far I'm not finding it great tbh so wouldn't recommend it. It doesn't recognise a lot of postcodes and I think there' a few things wrong with the logic, as it made me drive around the whole of lake Bala rather than telling me to do a 'u' turn adding 10 miles to a journey...There were a few others in the App store but again not great either... Nokia HERE maps is currently in Beta testing only (works off-line) on Android but so far not available on version 4.1 of Android. This maybe back compatible once released officially. Once you find a Nav App you're happy with you can update the path so that the Nav button takes you straight to it.

I thought I was on the wrong forum for a minute with all this talk about how you grasp your knob! On a more serious note that first pic looks very much like the gear assembly in the Vauxhall Astra H & J (2005 onwards) ... I replaced the whole assembly in mine when converting it into an OPC. http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c53/vauxhallvx220/DSCN0905.jpg

Delta 12 Plate: Rear Light Cluster Info....
MikeyRules replied to Penguin2007's question in Chrysler Delta
Yeah that doesn't make any sence at all? -
Hi Rod, I could have told you that, but unfortunately that doesn't help as KZCAR doesn't exist as far as branding and model number goes. If you search for these you won't find any references in the Sat Nav database, so therefore can't buy or download the European maps. As said you'd be better downloading one of the Sat Nav App's from the Play Store. I've even emailed the Italian supplier http://www.almigliorprezzo.net/ several times to try and find out who the Chinese supplier is and they won't respond! There's a secret menu which can only be accessed by a security pin number and this allows you to set up how the unit starts up when the power is triggered by the ignition, i.e. goes straight to radio and plays the station you last listened to, but again they won't share what the pin is. It is a brilliant unit, it just takes a while to get used to the quirks of running what is effectively an Android computer that's had Apps added to play CD's, Radio and Nav. If you think of it like that, rather than a traditional radio/cd head unit you'll be fine. There's a link to the aerial booster somewhere on this thread and that work's really well and sorts out the radio reception problem... You don't need an extraction tool to remove it either... Just put your fingers either side of the unit and gently pull.

Hi, which version of Navplus is it as there is the original and the second Gen like mine? If you look at my posts earlier in this thread you will see some pic's to help work out which one you've got. Both issues you've asked about are actually addressed here too if you'd read the thread! In short the radio needs a powered 'in-line booster' to cure the poor reception and this can draw power from behind the cigarette lighter. These are about £10 and take 10 minutes to fit if you know what you're doing. The Sat Nav is updateable, but the issue is the Naviextras website will ask you which model Radio/Sat Nav you have! Navplus isn't the real brand of the head unit and as far as I'm aware there is no way to tell what the real model number and brand it really is. It's made in China for the Italian company selling the unit under the Navplus name. You can however install other Nav software from the Google play store, although you are limited to what's available as the version of Android installed is 4.1.

Ah of course....obvious now you've said it! Interestingly he's pulled all of the adverts off eBay! I should look at what that other part he pointed me too for a Golf? It was some sort of rubber stopper and looked as if it gave the tailgate a little push to get it to open...
-
Lol you and you're illuminated sills! As they say... life's better with pictures so we'll hold judgement until we see them I saw on eBay a set of Lancia Delta puddle lights that project the Lancia logo onto the pavement when you open the door! Was tempted... well for about one second!

Delta 12 Plate: Rear Light Cluster Info....
MikeyRules replied to Penguin2007's question in Chrysler Delta
Yes I usually check every few days on fleabay what's about... There have been a few rear lights on eBay.it recently but at strong money. -
Let's hope fixing them doesn't get too difficult and expensive!
-
Glad to be of service Sir! Stick it in the knowledge bank for when I need some advice from your good self!

I had the 1750 in the last 159ti Sportwagon I had... Yes it is a good engine, but thirsty for such a small unit, and nothing to right home about noise wise either! Both my Spider and Brera were 'Carbonio' black... The Grey is the 'S' is stunning if you can find one. The black really show up swirl marks and stone chips expose the white primer. There's always a lot of noise about the 939 series cars being to nose heavy and my 2.4 5 cylinder oil burner was no lightweight for sure. But unless you're doing track days or hooning around the welsh evo triangle it's really not that bad! As said though the 2.2 can be made better with an induction kit (air filter is in front bumper and separate from engine bay heat) and a remap to get rid of that awful hesitation.
