I'm sure there's a guide somewhere already done? On one of our threads perhaps?? Anyway in short open car door, open bonnet, wait for all displays to go off and then disconnect the battery. Leave for 15 mins for any power to drain from the system and the insert a flat blade screwdriver into the two rear holes at the back of the steering wheel/airbag. You need to feel for a metal clip and then push firmly until the clip lets go of that side of the airbag which will come free. Repeat for the other side and then the airbag will be free to be gently pulled towards you. Un-clip the loom from the airbag connectors and then plug in the new airbag. You should now be able to line up the new airbag against the clips and push home... Re-connect the battery and bobs your aunt fanny!

I'm not sure if any of the guys have auto to be able to tell you? You are probably better to try it out and do like for like comparisons...

Hi and welcome to the (Italian) fold I don't have the factory fit unit to be able to tell you how to reset it unfortunately. I have the one made for the Italian market which is basically an Android tablet. I think Rossocorsa has the factory Nav though as he has the 2.0 Limited... I'm sure he'll be along shortly. One thing that I can think of from the top of my head is that you need to change the country to England or Scotland as a lot of units differentiate between Wales, Scotland and England.

How To Activate The Hill Hold Control?
MikeyRules replied to pstavropoulos's question in Chrysler Delta
Yep as Neil says the gradient needs to be enough to deploy. Mine works perfectly and has done on all the Alfa's too. I never use the handbrake unless parked, so when you come to a stop, clutch down with foot still on brake and providing the hill is a reasonable gradient the hill hold gives you enough time to come off the brake and move forward... -
It's the same in all modern Alfa's too Neil... I'm not sure on the exact temp but if you drive for a few mins you'll see the temp needle move off of it rest and then the air-con/demister will then start to blow. I believe it's to stop the windows misting even more inside the cabin.

Possibly a small garden trailer as I hate using the boot for tip or the building merchants runs, plus maybe a car trailer if I get another project/show car.

Nothing to see.... Peepow!

Hey no worries fella...we're special and in the minority lol, so we have to help each other

Alfa spelt with a 'ph'... tut tut! Yeah Roger is the guy that owns and runs the business. They've been going for years and have a great reputation. Really honest and reasonable rates too. He also has a race car so knows a fair bit about tuning too if you want to find some extra horses lol!

Good luck with Chrysler CS lol, if they're anything like Fiat or Alfa you'll need it! Surely the warranty company if independent from FCA will be the only people other than the dealer that you'll use to fix it? I tend to stay well away from the main dealers these days and stick with independent Fiat/Alfa/Lancia service places. I'm not sure which side of Derby you are but I use Peak Alfa: http://www.peakalfa.co.uk/

Morning! You can download Fiats Multiecuscan software and buy the cables off eBay so that you can do your own diagnostics and warning resets. http://www.multiecuscan.net/ The limited version is free, but you can buy the licence for only 50 euros (£37) for the full blown all singing all dancing one! Adapter set &Diagnostic cable: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALFA-FIAT-DIAGNOSTIC-CABLES-KKL-VAG-AIRBAG-ABS-ECU-FIATECUSCAN-MULTIECUSCAN-/252040805120?hash=item3aaecd7b00 The headlight bulbs are just H7's so eBay again... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHRYSLER-DELTA-2011-2-x-H7-HEADLIGHT-HEADLAMP-BULB-499-477-12V-55W-/191595270534 Or here: http://www.micksgarage.com/proddetails.aspx?pid=4834127 even Halfords will do them if you're desperate but won't list them in the guides they have in store... so take your bulb in or have them change it for a few quid if you can't be bothered.... Hope that helps fella

Come on Rosso find your mojo! (Unless of course you've been far too busy attending wild sex parties, out drinking with the boys every night and scoring with lots of hot chicks then you're forgiven ha-ha)..... Ah those were the days!!!! Life is too short to sweat the small stuff agreed, but playing with cars is a great distraction from life's hum-drum.

Steering Rub (And Click Like Noise)At Quarter/half Turn
MikeyRules replied to Jonidle's question in Chrysler Delta
Yeah my MOT was exactly the same with low pads and worn discs on the front. When I checked them I didn't think they were that bad, but probably want changing soon as my drivers side calliper is sticking and then heats up and screeches. So I might as well bite the bullet and do it all together... Are you keeping your car stock, or are you going to have a play and change a few bits? -
Yeah I really wanted to go, but truth be known I was knackered after a 450 mile round trip of Wales the day before house hunting. We got back around 8pm and I certainly didn't feel like cleaning the car and then getting up early for another 2.5 hour car journey to Northamptonshire... Hardly the Midlands lol! The Alfa is the Mito I bought the Mrs... 14 plate 1.6jtdm Distinctive model with leather. Same engine as the Delta only more spritely with the dynamic mode and in a smaller car. I thought Rosso had also fitted the stickers to cover the Chrysler wings on the windows? I have pics but can't attach on here as the silly size restrictions are too small. I'll post em on FB if you like?
-
Well I've done a dastardly deed....I've only gone and fitted a....tow bar! It is completely hidden when removed so as not to spoil the aesthetics of the car. I was going to attach a picture of said attachment but the forum seems to have limited picture size down to 402kb and I can't resize them that small!

Steering Rub (And Click Like Noise)At Quarter/half Turn
MikeyRules replied to Jonidle's question in Chrysler Delta
Hi Jon and welcome to the exclusive Delta club! Sorry no-ones replied sooner.... There so few Delta's that non of us on here (that I'm aware of) have had any steering issues. If you haven't already had it looked at, it might be worth asking on the Fiat forum as the car is based on the latest Bravo of which there are loads. I'm not aware of any steering rack failures on these later FCA cars apart from Alfa 159/Brera/Spider where the wrong fluid was put in at the factory which caused premature rack failure. Hope you get it sorted and please let us know what it was and how you got on? Cheers Mike -
I bet mine will be dirtiest after blasting around the Welsh countryside!

Presumably the vanity mirror takes it's power feed from the central ceiling light. Can you not trace the wires back this and disconnect, and then remove the visor? You may find an exploded diagram on fiat Eper would help understand how it all fits together....
-
Ah mate sorry to hear that. I knew something was wrong from fb but didn't want to stick my nose in... I'm in Wales house hunting on Saturday, but hoping to still make this too, as it would be great to catch up and at last get the 3 Delta's together in a photo!

MITCAR 2015 will be on Sunday 16th AUGUST at DEENE PARK near Corby, Northants , NN17 3EW See www.deenepark.com Right I fancy this as well, so will come back to you asap to confirm we have nothing else on that weekend.

Sounds like a load of c0ck to me... New batteries come ready to go, and providing you power down the car properly before disconnecting the old one there shouldn't be any issues other than resetting windows, possibly auto close doors and the clock.

I got all my Lancia badges (side small rear quarter ones, and tailgate) and a grill off Italian eBay. Most will post to the UK by messaging if they don't already include UK postage in the advert. The side and rear ones are self adhesive and the grill badge comes as part of the grill so you will have to replace the whole grill. To change this ideally you should drop the front bumper of undo the top bolts and rip it off like I did! Although this method does take some balls and obviously trashes the lug fixings on the back of the original. Have a look at my thread (My new Bella) and there's plenty of info regarding badges, grills and sills etc...

Hi Ross, Yes my indicator beep is also very quiet too, and also in the Delta hire cars I've had in Italy including the baby Ypsilon. I'm not sure if there is a setting on examiner (FCA plug-in diagnostic's) either to increase the audible notification without someone trawling through the menu. As for the alarm beep yes is the answer. But again you will need someone with examiner (like a dealer or specialist) or someone with Fiat ecu scan software with the cable to access the menu's. http://www.multiecuscan.net/ From memory you will need your alarm code, but if you haven't got this a dealer can access the details off the FCA system using you car VIN details. You basically deactivate the beeps by changing the country in the alarm settings to another one. There is one country that the setting only flashes the lights for arm and disarm WITHOUT any annoying beeps. I did this on my Alfa 939 Spider and 159ti Sportwagon when I had them. I just can't remember the country other than it was another one in Europe like Holland or somewhere similar I think. Someone else on Alfa Owner did say Australia, but that didn't ring true with me...

Ah ok...Just seems a really weird tyre size! I'm undecided whether to get a space saver like yourself or go for a full fat spare off a Bravo...

Vincey are your existing alloys 17''? If so I presume the 125/90/R15 equates to the same rolling radius then?
