£500 sounds a lot to rebadge depending on what they are including! What exactly did that include? You need: Boot badgeRear Quarter window badges (tiny)Sill PlatesAirbagFront GrillWheel centre capsHeadrestsLastly the start up menu needs re-programming to show Lancia instead of Chrysler on the welcome screen. Oh and if really anal you can also change the plastic engine cover too... Most of the badges can be found quite cheaply on eBay and the old ones are easy to remove with tooth floss and some sticky stuff remover. The grills are a little harder to replace without snappy the lugs on the old one, unless you remove the front bumper to get access to them. With regards the airbag, I have covered the process on my Delta thread for reference, but in simple terms you disconnect the battery insert an airbag removal tool pop off the airbag, disconnect the wires and replace. Providing you've powered down the vehicle properly and then disconnected the battery there is no danger at all.

Jos I've found the 1.4 Multiair service schedule although it's in km so you'll have to convert into miles... Hopefully the attachment works as it's a pdf!

Ooh I forgot to mention something.... The only problem or side effect of the aerial booster is if you turn you ignition off with turning the radio off first, you get the radio continuing for a few seconds followed by a hiss before power is cut to the booster. It could be my Navplus causing it, but think its more to do with power to the lighter socket still being live for a few seconds longer if that makes any sense at all lol????
-
Stuart I had the same problem when I swapped out the original head unit for the Navplus! Yes you need a powered aerial amplifier.... I found loads on eBay, and bought one for about a tenner as the cheaper ones looked a bit rubbish. I wired it into the back of the fag lighter for power....

Hi Jos and welcome to the 'Italian section'' Nello, Rossocorsa and myself have a selection of Italia, so between us should be able to answer most questions... I sell them too! (y) I'll have a go at some of your questions... Does anyone know where I can find a Delta Maintenance Service Schedule? I'm not sure exactly what you're after here? The car will tell you when a service is due, and you can check by scrolling through the menu until you find 'service interval' and it will tell you how many miles are left until the next one. All of the engines can be found in Fiat and Alfa so the schedules are exactly the same. They all have two resets, one for service by miles covered, and one for oil degradation. An oil change isn't always carried out at every service unless you demand it, as I do. I have an ex-Alfa, Ferrari and Maser trained Master Tech who is now an Indy that I use for all my Italian cars. Motormech will be perfectly capable of servicing it, if they're your local Indy? Is there an alfa epr equivalent for the deltas to display schematics of part removal? Yes there is. There is a thread on here I think posted by RossoCorsa that links all of the useful sites. I'll have a look later If I get time.... I have used Motormech with my Alfa just wonder if there is any guidance on getting the cambelt changed is it wise to do the waterpump at same time or any other hard to get to parts? As both are due next year As said above all engine parts are shared with Fiat and Alfa so no problems with access to parts. Always change the water pump at the same time as belts, pulley and tensioner. My Indy charges me around £240 all in including a full service, but that is at trade price. I am looking to get MultiEcuscan, are there any how to guides or tips on what to consider and hoe to setup? I've not used it for years as my Indy has Examinor, but I think Rosso on here does? From memory you can get the cables off eBay and buy the software directly from the website. I think it was fairly intuitive to be honest? On my SR, one annoyance is changing the radio station presets. Is there a way without having to hit preset button then turn thr dial to select the preset? The steering remote just searches through to the next frequency? I've upgraded my original head unit to a Navplus Android 7'' touchscreen so have difficulty remembering the original?? Don't you just tune to the station you want and the press and hold the preset number you want it at? Oh and if you want to get rid of all the Chrysler badges and put them back to Lancia look at some of our threads on here for details! Airbags, front grills, badges, door sills, floor mats etc etc are easily available from eBay.it The car is based on the latest Fiat Bravo and built in Cassini in Italy, so no problems with availability!

Nah parts supply should be fine as most of the important oily bits are Fiat Bravo, so nothing to worry about there. Also Italian eBay is a great source too! I had the unfortunate pleasure of having a Merc Sprinter reverse straight into my rear offside door creasing it so badly I had to replace it. I found one on Italian eBay for £80 plus £40 courier charge to the UK, and four days later it was here being sprayed and fitted! With regards to main dealers, you're far better off steering clear, as most of the Fiat / Alfa /Jeep dealers are less than useless in my experience! Have a look for a good local independent. The Fiat or Alfaowner forum's are a great source of knowledge when it comes to repairs or servicing, so should be able to recommend something local... This place seems to get good reviews off the AO forum: http://www.lcmotors.co.uk/find-and-contact-us/

Ah good good! Let us know how you get on with the spring. Hopefully it's be a perfect match! Whereabouts are you in Wales? Is the dealer close by, or is it a bit of a trek?
-
I would have thought that as the chassis shares most of its underpinnings with the Fiat Bravo it should be exactly the same fella. Have you got access to Fiat epa? I'm sure there are links in here that Rosso posted, so you can look up the part number, and then Google it.
-
Indeed as they have a plastic support on either side of the boot wall. I was going to make one out of marine ply and cover it black cloth. I didn't bother as I've not bought a spare wheel so am using the space in the polystyrene to store all the bits you end up carrying around.

Delta 12 Plate: Rear Light Cluster Info....
MikeyRules replied to Penguin2007's question in Chrysler Delta
Ah good job! My nearside rear is playing up occasionally. I only know because of the odd time the misses has been behind me out on the road, so difficult to know how much it does it! p.s. My new door from Italy has been painted and fitted whoop whoop! £600 lighter in the wallet though so still licking my wounds lol! -
Glad you got it sorted... Just out of interest which dealership did you take it too? Thought all the Chrysler ones were long gone?
-
I would say your experience mpg wise is spot on. The figures quoted are usually done in a test environment and don't have wind, hills and different road surfaces to content with. Our 1.6 diesel has done an average 49.9mpg over the last 12,000 miles, compared to the 65 it says in the book! So 44 on a run in your 1.4 Multi-air is good!
-
No there is quite a big step between the height of the boot floor and the seats.... Still quite a big load space though even so.
-
Hi Ross, which head unit have you got? The standard CD/Radio or the Media Nav with touch screen? No worries in disconnecting the battery, but you will have a few random warning messages like 'Hill start' disabled etc, but just ignore them. You will also have to reset the one touch on all four windows too, so that they go up and down with one touch. You do this by lowering each window and holding for 10 seconds, and the repeating the procedure in the up position. One question though? Do you have a small pin hole in the head unit face? Mine does and this is how you reset the unit.
-
Cool I've got a camera to replace one of them when I can be assed to fit the damn thing....let us know how you get on, as could still replace both even with the camera in situe. That reminds me... Did you ever get around to changing your faulty rear light?
-
OOh that's the side my little brat...cough I mean girl gets in every day for the school run! She isn't exactly gentle with it yet either, and yanks at the door to get it, and then doesn't close it properly either ggrrr... I'll have to watch out for that!
-
Yeah the warnings soon go though, and resetting the windows is fairly standard fair... Stop fretting man and get on with it!!!!

Just as an aside and to aid future people looking for UK Sat Nav for their Navplus here is the link to the one I bought. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221900662398?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT It is by iGo Primo, just like the pre-installed maps of Italy that come supplied with the unit from new. The maps cover the whole of Europe and the UK and to install you simply insert the micro SD card into the unit and the maps self install. The benefit is that they work straight away without any configuration and the Nav button on the front of the unit already points to this location, so no further set-up is required. It's a great product and a bargain at £20! p.s. I have nothing to do with the seller and only stumbled across it while doing a search for iGo sat nav.

Hi Rod, I bought a camera recently for my Navplus, but haven't got around to fitting it yet. The last time I fitted one it was really simple, in that the camera replaces one of your rear reg plate light fittings. It still has a down light as part of the camera, so you don't lose one. The hardest part was running the cable through the boot lid cable into the roofline of the car body. As you stated the power and ground run to the reverse light and the video cable runs the length of the car to the back of the Navplus. In theory when reverse is selected it should power up the camera, and the picture should override whatever is currently on the screen. Well at least that's how it worked in my Discovery. When soldering the connection to the rear light cluster loom, make sure you use some shrink cable wrap around the joins...

Bugger! Have you got a picture? Was it the front passenger or a rear door?
-
Also from memory when you push your flat blade screwdriver in to release the airbag, you'll need to feel for the clip. It will be quite stiff and will require a bit of force to pop it off, and you'll know when it's done as the airbag will release slightly forward when that side is off. Hope that makes sense?
-
Ah yes... They are covered by the thin layer of fake leatherette material. If you feel with your fingers you an feel the indentation where the hole is on either side. You need to pierce this with a bradawl or flat blade screwdriver to access.
-
Ha-ha it's like a reset or realignment of everything connected to the Canbus system. In the Vauxhall world they call it marrying and divorcing of components. For example the original radio was married to the system, and you are supposed to divorce the old unit and re-marry the replacement so that it doesn't throw up any faults.
-
You mean I could if I had it!
-
No nothing at all. My odometer flashes constantly but that's the Android head unit causing that, and I need to do a proxy alignment when I'm next at a dealer....
