Delta 12 Plate: Rear Light Cluster Info....
MikeyRules replied to Penguin2007's question in Chrysler Delta
Thanks for the link fella (y) They are actually £6 cheaper as they're doing free delivery ...Also I would have possibly had it by tomorrow as they're in the UK... Mines not left Germany yet! -
Yeah no two ways about it! The battery needs to be in peak performance for the stop/start to work and it even states this in the handbook. In winter with lights and heating on it will even deactivate to save the battery.

Hmm great question! I guess anything we answer with here is just personal opinion, unless the internet has tales of woe... If there's no fault bulb showing it's out on the dash and they don't notice one or two little LED's out then you'd probably get away with it. You do have to be looking at the unit straight on to see if any individual LED's are out, and if you even stand 1ft to the left or right you can't tell as they're recessed into the lens. Personally I couldn't live with it, so would have to bite the bullet and replace it quickly before it gets any worse. Mine off-side rear indicator has completely failed, so I've had to do exactly that!

Delta 12 Plate: Rear Light Cluster Info....
MikeyRules replied to Penguin2007's question in Chrysler Delta
Ah think you might linked the wrong site there Rosso as that's for software? Well the plot thickens as the actual LED's do work... When I alarm the car they flash perfectly, but when I indicate or put the hazards on they just flash once and won't again? There must be some sort of circuit inside the unit for the flash? Obviously there is power to the lights, and the actual LED's aren't faulty as they flash on arm/disarm of the alarm, so possibly as dry joint on an internal circuit board??? I checked the side light/brake light part of the unit and that's working perfectly for now... Anyway I've very reluctantly bought a brand new one from Germany for an eye watering £130 inc DHL courier delivery! Just hope it gets here fast!! -
Delta 12 Plate: Rear Light Cluster Info....
MikeyRules replied to Penguin2007's question in Chrysler Delta
Right now its my turn for a failing rear off-side light cluster...Well the indicator part anyway which has totally stopped flashing when I want to turn right. I got the bulb out warning on the dash, plus the indicator arrow flashes faster, presumably as there is now a current difference as the unit is dead... I'm struggling to find a replacement lower than £140 delivered, and even then it'll take about two weeks to get to me! Gulp! I could ideally do with one quicker, and obviously a lot cheaper! Any ideas chaps?? -
Nice work! I think they both look great, although not too keen on any Chrysler logo tarnishing an Italian lol.
-
Nice one Rich! At this rate we'll have enough for our own stand ha-ha

There are two warning's that need resetting when doing a service, one is for oil degradation and the other is for service based on miles. I'd return to you Tech and get him to reset both. When the service mile indicator counts down to zero days or the oil sensor senses the oil is shot that's when the service spanner appears on the dash to warn you a service is due... I've not heard about diesel regens not happening if overdue? Both of my Fiat Alfa specialists say it's fine to drive without reset, but obviously always clear them as part of the service.
-
You're actually better with a Gates timing belt kit than a Ricambi Originali. Ask any Fiat Alfa Master Tech and they'll tell you they've never had a Gates snap, but have seen loads of originals go! If your tech does a change for £150 then that's as good as the trade price I pay, so if he's good I'd stick with him! A Gates kit inc water pump is usually around £60 if you shop around...
-
I've been toying with the idea to move mine on, but honestly for the money these cost what else compares!? I fancied another Alfa Sportwagon but they're going for silly money at the minute, and when you put the seats down in the Delta, there really isn't that much difference.
-
Hey no worries... It was a last minute decision to be honest, and although I've done a few shows at Stoneleigh before, just not Race Retro so wasn't quite sure what to expect. Entrance fee was only a tenner and the show highlights from the day before looked really good, so we went on impulse. There was a handful on Italians which is always nice to see, including a couple of Integrale's being used in anger on the outside track. The Gruppe B stand though had to be the highlight! All the rally gods basically on one stand!
-
I'm just on the opposite side of the Pennines from you in Stockport, so a similar distance... I did Race Retro this weekend just gone at Stoneleigh Park in Coventry and that was just about an hour and a half roughly so not too bad. Well worth the journey to see some fabulous cars! Well mine got washed and hovered out today and I quickly machine cut and polished the rear bumper and offside front wing as I'd acquired some light scratches which have now gone. Felt better for doing it lol as it does get used as the family bus!
-
Yep Ryan the more the merrier fella! We're considering this at the moment, although it doesn't seem to have a confirmed date which is odd? http://italianmasters.eventpages.org/

Water pump should be done at the same time as the belt/pulley and tensioner. If the pump fails it throws the belt and trashed the engine, so it's not worth the agro... I also wouldn't stick to the mileage either as lots of short journeys, stop start traffic etc means it needs doing sooner at 4 years instead of 5.
-
I'm sensing the ffffrustration in your text lol... I hope you swore at it a few times Ha-ha!
-
Mine's a 1.6jtdm diesel, Rosso's is the 2.0jtdm and Nello's is the same as yours the 1.4ma...
-
Yeah could be... I took mine for a proper blast around the Derbyshire Peak District this afternoon and it's running great. Apart from a service, I could do with having the wheels refurbed as one or two are starting to flake in places, and the odd kerbing here and there. I don't know about you, but I find the car an odd shape when reverse parking using the wing mirrors and unless you put the mirror down towards the floor it's difficult to see just how close you are to kerbs sometimes.
-
I'm sure it'll be fine. They do hiccup occasionally especially if you use more than one phone like me. I assumed you'd already deleted yourself off the B&M system when I said perform a reset, but I guess originally you'd just done it on the phone.
-
Yeah good luck updating the B&M lol. It's a proper pain in the ass and usually requires several attempts. A hard reset sounds like a plausible cure... Let us know how you get on.
-
How weird i was going to say the same thing re running better post belt change! I thought it was just me being daft... I should have had a service really, but will wait now until next month. One thing Nigel said was he's had plenty of original belts snap, but has never known a Gates belt snap in all his years working for Alfa Romeo...
-
I've just had my Cambelt, pulley, tensioner and water pump replaced on Thursday and have to say it was the most painless one yet!! I sourced a Gates Cambelt Kit and an OEM water pump for £55 off eBay and had Nigel fit them on Thursday for the princely sum of £150! So £205 all in is the bargain of the century!!!
-
Have you tried repairing them both? Delete blue and me from your phone and start the pairing process again.
-
Yeah most are adjustable from underneath the actual lever. Done a few Alfas this way, although haven't actually looked at the Delta. Can you lift the plastic trim to access underneath the lever?
-
Deffo up for Italian Masters... Not too far either which is good! Ah that's a shame Alan! Shame you can't find the time! So are you planning on attending any shows?
-
Ah Mitcar is well local for you then! What about somewhere nice like Matlock? That's pretty central if you guys fancied a coffee and a catch up one weekend? I'd be up for that!
