  1. Just out of interest what did it cost?
  2. I was going to post a picture with mine, but the forum says the picture has to be smaller than 13.99kb!? How ridiculous is that!
  3. Good stuff! This procedure also restores the one touch facility if that stops working too... One last thing you may or may not be aware of is that you can put all 4 windows up or down using the key fob. Just hold down the unlock or lock button and hey presto! Particularly good if it's hot as you can open everything up and let a bit of fresh air in before you climb in!
  4. I'm afraid you'll need to put some leg work in on Italian eBay as that is where you'll find it all... Use google translate and paste the Italian names into Italian eBay and you find what you need. You won't be able to buy an 'airbag cover', instead you'll need to source a complete airbag and swap them over.
  5. Ah this is an easy one Andrew... The window needs resetting basically! To reset lower the window and hold the button down for 10 seconds... count one and two and three to make sure you do 10 proper seconds. Then pull up and let the window go to the top holding it in the up position again for 10 seconds. That should the reset them back to normal.
  6. Nice collection! I love both of those too... Nello has an LE coupe (if it hasn't sold yet?)
  7. Congrats! That's really low mileage and should look great in black too! What year is it? You''ll have to start a new thread and post some pictures once you've collected it!
  8. We're all Italian car enthusiasts and a few of us have owned many Alfas, Lancia's, Fiat's etc and don't really like anything about the American brand Chrysler. To give you some context, and apologies if you already understand the relationship and history but Fiat SPA (Parent company) bought Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, SRT and Mopar so they could crack the American market, and return to profit after a difficult time in Europe. In the UK it was too expensive to resurrect the Lancia brand after so many years absent, so Marchionne decided to bring the Delta and Ypsilon under the Chrysler name to a: fill a gap in the Mini and C segment market, as Chrysler didn't have anything smaller than the 300c, and b: to obviously be able to sell Lancia product albeit rebadged in the UK. This plan failed as most of the general public didn't know what they really were, and Chrysler with a ''not so great'' reputation was already struggling to shift their own product let alone some rebadged Lancia's. The second mistake was calling the Delta exactly that, as most of us old enough to remember Gruppe B days will remember the real Delta blasting sideways through a forest stage winning many rallies, and as you know this aint that! ....More of an Italian ford focus family hatchback!! I think the bottom line is these cars should have never have been badged a Chrysler, or have been called a Delta either... However we do love our marmite cars, the exclusivity, quirky Italian styling and the bargain that they really are... However they do need their identity restoring for all the reasons above!
  9. Yeah I'm pretty sure when I had my tuning box fitted the flat spot wasn't there! Bloody annoying!
  10. Ha-ha happens to the best of us!
  11. I wonder if it has sensed a drop in voltage from the battery? Could your battery be on the way out or need a trickle charge overnight? My Delta has a bit of a flat spot when setting off from stationary, and you have to rev a bit more otherwise it tries to stall, and at that exact moment the air-con switches off. If I catch it by dipping the clutch and then carry on the air-con resumes.
  12. Not that I'm aware of... When I removed the one in the passenger front, I tried to prize the top off with a flat bladed screw driver and it did pop off. However the opposite side fell into the cavity never to be seen again, so I'm not sure how you're really supposed to remove it with out that happening?
  13. Hmm it's such a long time ago that most of us rebadged I'm not sure if any of us will remember the part numbers.... Isn't there some listed on this and other threads somewhere? I'm pretty sure there'll be some... The other thing is use google translate and translate what you want into Italian and the paste it into Italian eBay. There is usually loads of stuff for the Delta 3. I converted my whole car from there.
  14. Are you stuck on repeat lol?? I'm fairly sure that's the third time you've said that!
  15. Yeah they have a good reputation from what I've read and I couldn't fault the service when they did mine - Obviously have a look on google etc. Although I know James personally I think although he oversaw the process, it was still the same turnaround as it would have been for anyone else.
  16. The Navplus works ok, but the screen is resistive touch rather capacitive, so you do need a firm touch for it to respond. The tuner needs an aerial booster for it to be any good at actually receiving stations, but that's an easy fix for about a tenner. CD, USB and steering wheel controls all work as they should. Reverse camera is good as is the TV tuner as you can get most Freeview channels. The Sat Nav installed doesn't have the UK on it, (Only covers Asia) but easy to in-install and get another android compatible map off eBay or the App store.
  17. Not sure tbh Neil as mine is different being the 1.6 diseasel. Why don't you get yours refurbed like I did? James recons they make them better than new, as some of the OEM parts used are poo.
  18. HI Scoobs, they do come up on eBay occasionally. Usually a scrap yard breaking a car... Or like me get one of the Navplus units from China or Europe! Look on Italian eBay!
  19. If you mean the large round black plugs in the existing floor carpet I wouldn't to be honest as you'll just reveal a large hole into the box section of the chassis.
  20. No you're right the Aux belt and pulley came as a separate kit, and my Alfa Tech ordered it in, so not sure what the part number is or where he gets them from. The waterpump that came with the Gates kit was a metal impeller type like Rosso mentions above. I also had an Originali Ricambi one, but I'm pretty sure Nigel said the Gates one was better?
  21. Yeah they were which is why bought like for like on the front. The rears I replaced a few months later, but went for a new Avon tyre that had just come out as they were on offer and highly rated. The Goodyear's are good but the wear rate has been appalling considering they've done less than 10k and are already down to 3mm...
  22. Looks good! I'm in Stockport, so we probably won't cross paths on our travels unless you go to any of the car shows? Yeah you absolutely have to change the airbag... Well for me at least it was almost more annoying than that bloody awful spread wings emblem on the tailgate! Especially as it stares you in the face every day! I've still got the headrests and the dash display that says 'Chrysler' on start-up to remove. My Tech couldn't find where it was in Examiner to replace it with Lancia which was rather annoying. Someone must have managed it... and as for the headrests they occasionally come up on Italian eBay but are far too expensive for what they are,
  23. Well just had the Delta in for a full service and Nigel diagnosed a noisy aux belt pulley where the bearings were grumbling! So just had that replaced while everything was in bits... He commented on how clean the car was underneath, and also said how true the car was running as the tyre wear was dead flat across the tread! The only thing I wasn't happy about is how quick the front tyres have worn down (Goodyear Eagle F1). They're down to 3mm in less than a year, so I've had to swap them to the rear which I'm running Avon's, so will be good to see how these differ!
  24. By the time I saw the event my misses had already arranged a day out with friends so that will be another good show missed!
  25. Hi Neil mine was done at mates rates as my friend James is the technical director at Universal Turbo's down in Hampshire. From memory he charged me £295 for a full refurb, that's also pressure tested and warrantied and included next day courier both ways. It went on a Monday and was back by the Friday... although Nigel couldn't re-fit it until the Monday, so the car was off the road for about a week. I can't remember what he charged me for removal/refit and he also did an oil and filter change at the same time as a precaution.
