  1. Yeah I'm with Neil... I'd probably use them given it's not too expensive to get the replacement locking key. However are alloy wheels even stolen anymore given most cars have them?
  2. Keep your eye on eBay as the kits regularly come up cheap as chips. I only buy Gates kits and my Master Tech won't fit anything else as they are such good quality. I think I paid around £70 -£75 last time and that included the water pump.
  3. Hi Jensen, yes you've found the hidden Lancia Delta sub forum hidden inside the Chrysler forum lol... There are a few of us that are Lancia/Alfa enthusiasts that bought the Delta knowing what it was, and what a bargain it was too, given the woeful badge put on it here in the UK... You say you've bought a sub 2 year old? They stopped production in 2014, so you must have a really late registered one then? A lucky find too with less than 10k!! In answer to your question I think we drew a blank from an official answer perspective... Can't say I've really given them a second glance to be honest!
  4. Wow that's almost as cheap as I get them in the trade... I usually pay around £220!
  5. So did it need adjustment of was it actually ok?
  6. Well chaps I can confirm that a 2006 Fiat Bravo door seal does in fact fit like a glove! It just shows you what a box of Fiat leggo we really have!
  7. Thanks fella, much appreciated!! I've just bought one from a breakers yard off a 2006 Fiat Bravo for £35 that looks in good condition... Ironically there wasn't anything on Italian eBay and even google was only throwing up the odd European parts company who were 54 euros plus postage. So not bad I suppose!
  8. Isn't that the passenger side though Neil? I'd have thought they'd be handed so prob a different number for t'other side!
  9. I'd be surprised if you could still find a Chrysler dealer to be honest! Not that I'd ever step foot in one if there was lol. No i meant a Fiat/Alfa specialist as they'll have the proper diagnostic equipment to access the software. Plus either do it for nothing or charge a small fee for 10 mins connection...
  10. Ha-ha my arse aint that big lol. Yes it's the one on the B pillar that runs around the frame. I sometimes catch it when i put my left leg in and swing onto the seat. ??
  11. Yeah I have the 1.6jtdm and it definitely doesn't have the change gear light, well at least operational anyway... As for de-activation I'm not sure anyone on here will know for sure, as you'd have to run through the menu's on Examiner or Fiat ecuscan to see if it's listed as an option. I'm not sure where you're based, so can't really recommend a specialist? The Delta's don't seem as adaptable as Alfa's for some reason. I wanted to silence the annoying arm/disarm bleep on the alarm system and get it to just flash the lights. On Alfa's its easy as you just change the country code to Belgium, but the Delta isn't having any of it even though it's the same Meta alarm system in all of the range from Fiat, Alfa, Lancia and Maser! Annoying.com!
  12. Any idea of the part number for an off-side drivers door seal? It's the one that runs around the door frame that the door seals against. I can't find anything specific on eBay UK or Italia, and have only found universal generic ones available in China. A part number might help the search.... It's my own fault as I keep catching it when sliding my fat ass in the car lol. I catch the bit level with the seat fastened to the B post!
  13. Yeah deffo worth checking out - Glad you're liking the 500x! We thought it was the best modern Fiat we'd driven as it handled pretty well on the Italian twisty's and the 4 wheel drive helped on the hills too! Not the best legroom in the rear and the boot not exactly cavernous either, but that aside really good fun. Even my dad said he'd have one, and that's not like him at all lol.
  14. Gentle blow and touching wood in the same paragraph! I think you best give Mrs Nello some advanced warning! I've not noticed the strength of the blower to be weak, especially if you select the face vents only for example on full pelt it's pretty strong.
  15. That's all well and good Andrew if the cogs actually have any teeth left!
  16. Here's the breakdown of suspension parts: The part number is 50709043. https://lancia.7zap.com/en/del/tn/181588101000-099/443/1+44301-020+1-0/ Delta being broken here, so worth a call: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chrysler-Delta-1-4-Multi-air-Turbo-2011-2015-Breaking-For-Parts-Wheel-Nut-/302004989809?hash=item4650e66f71:g:bzkAAOSwZ1lWeL1K
  17. Right just to update this properly and for future reference for any other Delta/Bravo owners out there... So the complaint is that when I start the car I get a loud clicking sound coming from behind the centre of the dashboard. It does it several times and then stops unless you change the settings on the aircon or open a window for example. So to explain what's going on then... Basically the climate control system does a self test when you first start the car, which includes opening and closing the recirculation flap which is located behind the dash at the top of the bulkhead. This flap in essence allows air from outside to circulate when open or closes to recirculate just the air already inside the cabin. The motor uses plastic cogs to do this and over time they strip their teeth off, and the motor can no longer open or close this flap. Now when I start the car and the climate control does a self test it tries to open and close the flap several times and when it fails it stops. When you press the recirculation button or open a window for example the system also tries again. The problem lies in how to fix it! It's basically a dash out job, which in itself is a horrible job taking several hours and then a replacement recirculation unit fitted, and then whole lot put back in again! Neither myself or my Tech liked the idea of this as obviously there's a lot of labour cost involved due to the man hours to do this, plus you have to ask yourself the question is it really worth it given the function this part plays? We ended up just disconnecting the flap rods from the cogs and wedging the flap in the open position to stop any further annoying clicking sound and job done!
  18. And here for other suppliers: http://www.chryslerforum.co.uk/topic/1264-front-drivers-side-spring/

  20. Oh it's a money spinner alright...and I can understand how any garage would want a piece of that pie! It's like MOT's my mate makes around £700 a week just from that revenue alone, so think along those lines as a business and you can see the attraction!! I think the problem is more around how much of the system is actually cleaned...i.e stated vs actual.
  21. Shouldn't that be female and Italian!
  22. Hi Dido, there's a lot controversy around companies like that, and actually whether it does anything at all. Just ask most mechanics what they think about the process and the claims these companies make? Petrol engines generally stay pretty clean to be honest, It's the diesels that soot up the intake, Map sensor, EGR valve and DPF as it's a heavy oil that produces a lot of soot. It could have just been some poo in the fuel to be fair. I use Wynn's injector cleaner, and add it to a tank of fuel. It usually cleans the system out pretty well. Try and stay away from super market fuel too, and stick with BP ultimate or Shell V power as they have additives in that keep everything clean too.
  23. Yeah a good idea... Although I've sold all my original parts (Airbag/Original Climate control and CD/Radio) that came off when I 'Lancia'd' mine! Doh!
  24. Yeah on full auto it does it quite a lot as the motors change where the airflow is to be directed. The clicks are quite loud too. One of the guys with a Bravo disconnected the recirc motor, leaving it on permanently open which is an option. Others have suggested replacing all 3 motors as they are renowned for failing...
  25. B*ll*cks! Well scratch that... It worked for all of f'ing half an hour and then started again!!! From what I've seen on the Fiat forum you have to remove the gear stick surround, centre console side panel, glove box and glove box mounting to be able to access the motors that drive the recirc flaps. What a total ball ache! I think there are 3 motors in total, so am going to need to strip it all down and get some part numbers! Wish me look!!
