Yeah GT's have grown on me in recent years. I did own one once, it was a 2007 Lusso in black and although it was only a year old and absolutely mint I just didn't learn to love it. I don't think black really suits the GT as It hides a lot of the design lines, plus mine had what I call the ''cheese'' wheels which are as soft as sh.t! The leather on the earlier ones goes shiny too, and originally I hated the 147 dash in the GT as I always thought it deserved something more upmarket and classy. In the later Q2 cars the diff really makes them drive so much better and the leather was improved along with red stitching too. Just a shame they never sorted out the chocolate suspension lol... Maybe I should keep my Delta after all!!

What you do with your endoscope in your spare time is your own business! Let us know how the nightbreaker's work out fella!? ...and we want pictures of the hand self harming too!
-
Yeah not much offers as much value for sure. I want another Alfa at some point, but not desperate to sell the Delta, as it's been a brilliant car. I've been looking at red cloverleaf GT's with the Q2 diff and just missed one locally that was at the right price.

Hey Alcantaradelta I could be persuaded to sell mine which has most of the Lancia rebranding done. (Not done headrests or engine cover) It's a 12 plate 1.6SR with 50k on the clock. Extremely well maintained, with a recent Cambelt kit and water pump, new EGR valve and full service history with the last service done last summer. (Huge folder history file with every receipt) Would have to be worth my while though and may be above your budget if you looking at sub 3k cars?

Yeah I know Herts well as I used to work in Hatfield and commute from Cheshire lol. Veloces are good guys to be fair, but mainly a sales enterprise with a service bay for car prep... Autolusso are your best bet. They're well regarded in the Alfa community and know their stuff. I'd give them a call or drop in rather than email. They're usually a busy service and parts centre so you'll get a better response talking to them. As for Glyn Hopkins...I'd rather cut my head off and sh*t down the hole than give them any money!!!

Haha you're not flipping wrong! I mean how the hell are you supposed to even get your hand in! My wife calls me dinosaur hands as she thinks they're really big, so probably not the best person for the job. Nightbreaker bulbs are great also. If like me after swearing at it a million times when you can't get the flippin spring clip back over the bulb to secure it... Just pay some young kid from Halfords to do it for you lol

Wow that's a bargain! Good to know for the future...
-
Luigi you didn't say where you were in the country?
-
That should have read any decent Fiat/Alfa specialist...
-
Yes Rosso's right in that the diesels don't have stop start. Mines the 1.6... Luigi where are you based? Might help us send you somewhere decent. Any decent Fiat/Alfa should be able to do a proxy alignment. It only takes a few mins too.
-
Indeed lol... Shame he didn't mention those vital facts in the original post! Doh! I mean we all try to be helpful... but at least give us the facts to make it worth our while, instead of leaving us stabbing in the dark.
-
No I follow your analogy completely... Just doesn't make sense to complain about a clock if you had starting problems or worrying warning messages lighting up your dashboard like a Christmas tree! Surely you'd mention those first... no?
-
The Italians are always late and rubbish time keepers so place no importance on time...So a clock is probably at the bottom of the requirements list lol.
-
Wouldn't he have starting issues and other random error messages if it was a dodgy earth?
-
Ha-ha more than likely ?. I hate waiting for things... I must have been back of the queue when the big man upstairs handed patience out lol.
-
How did you get on Andrew?
-
Did you get time to check it Rosso? I too am thinking about getting a spare with the toolkit.
-
Hmm that's a new one on me as it's part of the instrument cluster. There's quite a lot of complaint's generally about Fiat clocks in Bravo's (which the Delta is underneath and inside, dash included) not keeping time and losing a few minutes. So does yours read 00:00 every time you get back in the car and start it up?
-
The dealer should have reset it when they did the service. You're panicking over nothing really... Any Fiat/Alfa Indi can and should be able to reset both the oil degradation and service light with the right plug in diagnostic tool. If they don't have the right tool their not a specialist! Examiner is the official device, but even with a laptop and multiecuscan software and the cables off eBay can do it... Surely you just need the Fiat Bravo 1.6 diesel (2007 - 2013) springs? Can't be that difficult? Guys where has the link gone for the Fiat/Alfa/Lancia EPA parts system??? Surely we must be able to get a part number??? This is going to happen to others so probably worth sorting details out now for when the worst does happen?
-
Did you not manage to get a part number? It would be good to know what the diesel Bravo spring part numbers are?
-
For some reason I thought that had gone too!? So is that the x19 and Esprit that's still in the stable lol?
-
Yeah I have a similar love affair with it... I've got a scratch to itch, but not sure I can be bothered some days as it ticks so many boxes, and others I cry for something laugh out loud fast and fun...
-
It will happen... Yes definitely, but given how most diesel owners bought the wrong car i.e. lots of short journeys where the car doesn't get up to temp they're bound to clog up... EGR and DPF are a really bad idea really when you think about it. Government ideal ology at its best!
-
Ha I was in a similar position with the rear unit... Only I'd completely buggered the casing before he got near it trying to have a look myself!
-
Ooh if you spot any let me know! I do look from time to time and deffo want some... I really like the look of them as don't particularly like my 17's..
