I've not seen a Delta for over 6 months now... See Delta's really are a cheap way into exclusivity!
-
We're .... patiently waiting.... I love the picture guide that link shows... I bet £20 it doesn't come out as easily as that guide shows lol
-
Yeah defrosting the windows is pants.... I'd be better punching myself in the knackers and breathing hot air on the windows that way than the poxy fan under the dash... My recirc motor failed on mine (quite common on Bravo's) and it's a dash out jobby and a new heater eek! Fortunately we were able to cheat and just disconnected the flap. Although that does present another problem is that I can no longer shut out bad smells, and in winter it can steam up inside, so have to open a window slightly to demist..
-
Still stupid money for a bit of a gimmick... I fancy some of those clip in blinds for all the windows beyond the B post, but even they're daft money for a bit of teabag cloth and clips! Yeah but we all know you have an attention deficit!
-
Yeah I think you're doing the right thing... They are good cars, pretty cheap to run and full of old fiat parts lol, so what's not to like!? You've probably seen me on here harping on about wanting something else (I have an Alfa habit), but the Delta ticks so many boxes, and it's hard to justify to 'her indoors' that I want something else because I'm a car slag!
-
Does that deserve a 'whoop whoop'! Glad you've got it sorted in the end fella! Does that mean you're gonna keep the car now then?
-
Yeah I'm not entirely sure it's the hinge at fault but more the locking push rod thingy? When you push the flap closed the push locking bar rotates back into its hole in a locked position against the flap. What I can't work out is how to get the push bar to pull itself further into the housing body if that makes sense? It is held in place by a screw (or two) so I might have to undo it and see if there is any obvious adjustment. I reckon you could pull mine open even when locked as you can get your finger tips behind it, it sticks out that much!
-
Yes I can confirm you are definitely barking mad.... On another note and in answer to your question it should lock when you lock the car. I've just checked mine and it's locked, although annoyingly it does stick out a little and doesn't sit flush with the bodywork.

No we only got the 1.4 Multiair, 1.6jtdm and the 2.0jtdm. Spec wise we got S, SE, SR, Momo and Limited.

Welcome Drew! You can't beat the feeling of removing that dreadful Chrysler badge! Looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better now!
-
Hi Dorian, welcome to the club! Your Delta looks great in black!! You are very lucky to get the 1750tbi engine in a Delta! It's only available here in the UK in Alfa Romeo. I had a 159ti Sportwagon with the same engine and it was fabulous giving near V6 power! In answer to your question I'm not sure if any of the members here have active suspension? Maybe that was a mainland Europe option only too?

I must admit I've not seen any used ones listed for a while on Italian eBay... Well there was someone selling just one lol!
-
Nah they look a bit naff... and isn't that the old logo too?
-
You sir can f... right off! and anyway it's amazing what a tube of squirty no nails can do!

How come your fed up?

It's a grade 2... Cap clean is £2175, so probably around the £2k mark plus fees. Being a basic 'S spec' is not the best either for a 'marmite' car, plus its silver so that doesn't do it any favours either...It always depends on who's in the room or on-line looking for one, so could go either way really.
-
Personally I wouldn't touch this car with a barge pole.... Several reasons. One as this is a private sale you'd have thought they'd mention the Cat D tag, and say what the damage had been. If this had been advertised elsewhere you'd have no way of knowing until you had checked the reg details. Also I'd want pictures and details of the damage from the accident, and the car is overpriced given its 'grey' history! The reg plate is blanked so difficult to do any of your own checks before contacting the seller, plus the photos are in a car-park, not outside someone's house. Not necessarily a problem but it's all adding up... Obviously its an SR not an S model too. My advice look elsewhere instead of giving yourself a headache before you've even bought a car.

Love love love Maserati! Would love a Gran Tourismo at some point!! The Ghibli is nice too and a lot more realistic to own and run though. Yes not full time anymore, but still have all my accounts and contacts in place. Yes the Delta is an SE spec car.

What happened to the Brera S dream??

My Delta Review Has Just Been Published :-)
MikeyRules replied to MikeyRules's question in Chrysler Delta
Yes you can tell it's Alan's review as he's harping on about his ''executive rear seat''!! -

Can you imagine yourself sat here?

There's 17 in a ''buy it now'' auction at the moment... Most are 15 or 65 plate V6 Diesels with less than 30k on the clock, from £25k plus fees. Or if you prefer petroleum spirit there's a 3.0S @ £30k!
-
Oooh like the Ghibli quite a bit! There's always a good selection going through auction too! Alcantaradelta I found this for you at Manheim in Manchester which is my local auction house. It's a July 2012 1.4SE Multiair with 60485 miles, 2 keys but only partial service history and a cloth interior. I've had a quick look and it needs all 4 wheels refurbing and a couple of cosmetic touch ups, and obviously a service. There are 3 stamps in the book up to July 15 @ 35k. If interested I can email you a condition report...

Ha-ha not sure I'm going anywhere soon fella. I'd upgrade the wife to a GT if I thought she'd Alfa park properly to avoid car-parking dinks! Or should that I'd upgrade the wife to a GT lol ?
