In wish I could get rid of that Chrysler logo! It's unknown what a retro fit would show I've been told that the units pick up which logo to show from the body computer (but don't know if that is correct or not) however European units made pre 2011 wouldn't have the chrysler logo in their software.
-
The oe nav isn't touch screen, I'm not sure it would be worth the effort to retro fit it's ok but might be a major effort to fit and get it to talk to the rest of the car. The Chinese option might be better although I don't know what quality is like

I have metelli water pump on mine, at least a proper brand and not Chinese junk, seems ok so far and much cheaper than oe.

I'm getting too old

I'll have to check how many miles they've done but the asymmetric 3 on mine seen to be wearing quite well and better than the efficient grip, I suspect I'm a much steadier driver though! ?
-
I bought some wheels off a guy who was a tech at an Alfa dealer and asked his opinion, not sure about the little logo on the instrument panel but he said he didn't think it was possible to change the nav, his explanation was that the unit decides on the splash screen by reading the body computer data so would always default to Chrysler. I don't know if it's correct but sounds plausible.

Mine had Avon on the front when I first bought it, I found them noisy and a bit harsh changed to Goodyear efficient grip performance at front which have a much nicer and quieter ride then changed all 4 last year for Goodyear eagle F1 asymmetric 3 which are the best yet great compromise of ride and handling. So far I think they are wearing well too.

Anyone going to newby hall tomorrow (june 4th)? http://www.newbyhall.com/events/italian-cars-bikes-rally/

The crack is very fine I'm not sure you could spot it but once it fails it leaks a LOT
-
My only issue with lowering springs is that for aesthetics they always tend to lower a tad too much 30mm is quite a lot really I'd prefer 15 or 20mm far more sensible.

Front right side as you stand in front of the car, close to the right hand bottom corner of the engine cover. You can see the radiator at the bottom of the photo. It's same side but at the opposite end to the actual EGR it has some sort of vacuum function as well apparently.

The offending part

Just had this fail on me, if you have a diesel is something to keep an eye on. Coolant leaking down onto undertray apparently a common fault on these engines the cover develops a hairline crack. I got my local reliable independent garage to change it 2 hours labour to do it. Shame they make it from plastic in the old days it would have been a nice alloy casting which would not only function better but would last forever

I find it hard to believe the 12 month delay when I had a delta hf hpe years ago I got a side window on vor in about three days and the car wasn't even imported to the UK. Did you try fiatdalys on line? https://www.fiatdalys.lt/en/catalog/step2/L/DEL I've never used them but should be useful (?) Having said that the list prices on springs are steep but according to the site available in 4 days Also https://www.shop4parts.co.uk/?name=store&op=Details&ProdID=9043&sku=183222 Also bravo springs so not exact presumably the delta is set up slightly differently?

I was born with a mood like Victor Meldrew's depressed twin it's not to do with my senility

Hmmmm for cheap motoring I was thinking more along the lines of the 1.2 with it's classic simplicity, no multi air to fail and no dpf issues for short journeys. Also I find the noise from anything less than 4 cylinders initially amusing but ultimately irritating
-
I'm sure you can get them from a dealer, but the list prices I've seen are nuts!
-
Well anything is possible with main dealers, I notice on the forums that failures seem quite random in terms of mileage. No doubt they'll improve the system until it's reliable always the dangers of new tech. Fingers crossed but my diesel clunker is still ok at 67k often wish I had a petrol but this multiair issue makes me half glad I haven't. Draconian anti diesel measures promised by the government might change my mind though!

Interesting and I imagine rather annoying, I read somewhere that oil grade is absolutely critical on these any chance that any changes could have been incorrect grade?

Not sure but I don't think they are in the UK -

Try Autodoc.com still not cheap though and not sure if price includes vat or not! I think I've seen them somewhere else for less than £100 but can't recall where -
Regarding the oil degradation i was under the impression that on diesels they might stop regenerating at some point after the warning light has come on to reduce further degradation of lubrication quality, no idea if it's true but I read it somewhere and it kind of makes sense. The handbook is very strict on an oil change once this warning light appears so could well be true. Afaik The service warning which is separate can be ignored if necessary.

Nearside went this week, still a pain to do but this time I had a mini usb endoscope that attaches to my mobile really handy makes seeing around corners easy. Cheap too direct from China although I have to say I have two the first one is really superb but the image on the second is less sharp well worth getting one though for these awkward jobs.

I've had it go wonky before but not quite as weird as this time, it lost the phone completely so I re-paired and it worked again but only that day! Hopefully it's cured this time fingers crossed
