By the way anyone adding a non Delta specific radio there is an Android app called lancia canbus to do your car settings that might otherwise be lost

That's why I got my local independent to do my service ( I bought the parts), modern cars are designed to be serviced on a ramp it's just too much of a pain in the butt to DIY these days with engine trays etc...... I still tinker with the old car though, just been bolting up the supercharger properly on the engine today a real fiddly job but at least it's on an engine stand.

Independant garages charge less than Max for MOT to help bring in business, biggest cost of doing service at a main dealers is the parts cost you can buy genuine fiat parts outside the fiat network for a lot less than fiat list prices.

something to do with the electrode design appears to be an update so presumably the new version is the best bet?? but I don't know for sure as I'm no expert
-
my car seems to be on original discs and pads at 30+k (i don't recall exact miles and can't be bothered to go and look!), however it had two new front tyres before I bought it at only 10k which were Avons and recently, at about 31000, replaced them again this time with Goodyear efficient grip performance which I have to say suit it much better giving a smoother, quieter ride. After my initial doubts about the car after two years it is now starting to get the familiar feel of a nicely worn in set of old slippers!
-
good price that but I will resist, already overloaded with Beta parts in the great tradition of 'just in case' so no space left!

you done a big mileage? my super picky local garage thought my discs were ok and he didn't comment on the exhaust at ether MOT or service. I believe the exhausts are dual skinned so it may not be as bad as it looks

I would have had a go at the sills this week but rain stopped play! I did fit the boot protectors and net, unfortunately one of the protectors didn't fit/stick too well might need to refit it. Whilst realising that there is a tooling cost I can't work out why the list price of these accessories was so high even the illuminated sill covers aren't complicated
-
they only had one, in my case its more for stopping toolboxes, cans of oil and misc lancia beta parts
-
The temp display difference is surely just because the main instruments and sat nav only show whole numbers whereas the climate display has half degree steps so you could have 12.5 on the climate and 13 on the others but this can just as likely be 13 on all, that's how it works on mine anyway. My unnecessary accessories arrived today, the boot net seems a lot better designed than I expected so will see when I've fitted it, the boot edge protectors are as expected simply two pieces of pressed stainless steel, the illuminated sill trims do actually look really nice but look a pain to fit time will tell! The list prices of these accessories is nuts! Including vat the net is £62.66, boot protectors £102.85 and the illuminated sill trims £298.28 no wonder no one ever bought them......even at the £67 all in I paid they don't seem cheap!
-
mine passed without problems although I got an advisory on front tyre wear when they had about 4k of meat left on them, my local garage is great but he is really fussy wish he'd calm down on advisories a bit as they downgrade the vehicle history.
-
About 50 euros each that's just for the metal strip, they are handed because the lance points forwards
-
I will probably never use the boot net but for a fiver .... Just in case! The protectors fit over the edge of the boot rim either side of the latch does that make sense? The ridged section of the plastic trim
-
I'm seriously thinking to order proper lancia sill trims but they ain't cheap
-
£42 including shipping also got boot luggage net for a fiver and the stainless boot edge protectors for a ,perhaps expensive, twenty quid. These are shall we say a huge reduction on list price which was always plain nuts!
-
Well in the end I bought a set of illuminated sills hope I don't regret it! I just couldn't resist the rarity value of such an expensive piece of nonsense!

Don't know if 500 knob will fit might be with checking how other parts such as the shaft compare on eper? It wouldn't surprise me if some Vauxhall Opel knobs fitted as there is a certain amount of parts sharing of gearboxes
-
No idea but I don't find the Delta one uncomfy at all, do you grasp it? I don't think it's designed to be grasped! Push forward with palm on flat face pull back by hooking fingers over the top similar actions to move left or right. Beta berlinas and many other lancia had a similar shape
-
Yes get a copy of eper ( or look on https://www.fiatdalys.lt/en)get part numbers and you can cross reference the parts, buy from www.shop4parts.co.uk putting in the part number and you can get genuine fiat parts for a lot less than main stealer prices and next day delivery too.

Delta 12 Plate: Rear Light Cluster Info....
Rossocorsa replied to Penguin2007's question in Chrysler Delta
It's only the fogs and reversing light that differ I think and they are in the bumper -
they already build fiats in india and have done for donkeys years

The delta 3 didn't sell in huge numbers but it still sold in significant volume, given the platform sharing cost savings I suspect it wasn't really a failure. As with all things lancia though it was ahead of its time, considered odd in 2008 it looks modern now despite being discontinued
