I don't think LEDs are legal in the UK......yet. I have put LEDs in the glove box,and boot light...I don't use the fog lights enough to really need LEDs.. Ian.

Your mechanic should have first put the OBD engine analyser on,to check engin4 faults.....that should tell you everything..

I have dinged my bootlid,glass has gone......Anyone know of a breaker with one for a 2011- 14 Delta.....in the south east would be good. Thanks Ian

Reeko,always bear in mind that items such as your door/boot locks will be from the parts bin from Fiat, Alfa, etc.stores, so check out used parts from breakers, and cars such as Late Punto, 500,Bravo, MiTo, Guiletta...etc. If it is like the boot lock, there is a micro switch built into the latch, so you may need a new lock......As I recall, I snagged a genuine Fiat part for a 2006 Punto for £19.00 . Or it just may need a good clean.... Good luck. Ian

I replaced front discs and pads a week or so back..... Advisory on MOT in May 2019 suggests that the inner faces of discs were flaking.So it was well overdue,pads had about 5-6 mm left. I fitted Unipart discs(£28),and Juratek pads(£21) from the Bay.....be aware that Juratek pads have only one wear sensor...part number JCP 1468. Just returned from a week in Devon, and those improved brakes were very welcome ,steep hills, very narrow lanes etc. Ian

I think the boot lock (if it's the same as Punto)may be your problem....take it out,clean and check it.....I got a new replacement (genuine) for about 20£ for my partner's 2006 Punto. Fitting is a doddle.... Ian

I have never needed to adjust my headlights,but there is a switch on the dash for adjustments.... As for the bulb changing,it is a pain especially the offside one, but we should be grateful it's not a dealer job.....some can cost £150-250.... Ian

I changed mine about a month back (2011)......no problem, just re.set your date time etc.

If it were my car,I'd consider buying one of those Syphon type devices.....leave the plug in place, make sure the oil is really hot......(which I always do, and I leave overnight for a proper drain)and suck out your old oil... Ian

Would there not be a dashboard warning (engine light) signal if sensors,leaks or any other failures occurred?.....just a thought!. Ian

Are you going to do the belt change yourself?...... My belt is on 54k.....I took a look at it and it looks fine....but at 111k,yours had done superbly well.

I think discs on cars now are maybe softer than of old........my discs have done about 55k, but have been flagged up on MOT as advisories to replace. On close inspection a few weeks back I detected a rough corroded high spot on the back face of one side of the car. I will replace them and hope the braking will be better,as I would like more "bite" as I feel they seem to be a bit under servoed so to speak... Iv not driven any other Delta, so I don't know if mine is normal for model?

I'm guessing it's because the auto function is for the road tunnels found all over Italy......and you would not need main beam as they are lit.....and dazzling oncoming drivers in a tunnel, would not end well!.....just a thought. Ian

You may find that it shares those parts with a Fiat model....perhaps a 500....check it out with EPER...this is an FCA file on all their cars....cross checking that may help?

Rear lamp removal is easy.....just two nuts behind the boot cupboards......As for the tree litter and grud getting under the the acrylic edge....go onto the Lancia Motor Club web forum......and under the Delta 2008 page you can see a submission of mine. Am a little late ,but my two cents worth re.servicing of our DELTA. I have used Castrol Edge , essential to use ACEA C3 spec oil. The plugs are NGK , and I have replaced the original set at 51.600 miles.they looked almost as good as new!!!....cost wise they can be almost £50 a set, but I picked some up for £27 ish. There is an extra oil filter not mentioned in the handbook.....someplace in the top of the head.....this could be important as far as the valve gear life is concerned....I must investigate the method for a clean or change... The air filter is a pain to change..... Ian

Yes plugs should be NGK IKR9F8..........

My oil cap was very tight ......I got it off,but was concerned it may break! I think that's good advice,re a warm engine.... Ian

Josboogz.....make sure the correct oil is used in your service..... it's gotta be C3 !!!!! I use Castrol Edge.......that old multiair relies on the correct oil... Ian

I have just ordered a set of plugs,not cheap,but they are iridium tipped, and should do some serious mileage..... My odo reads about 51k, not sure if the plugs fitted are original, but it had a service at the 34k point, and were they changed?....not sure,? Has anyone had their head filter changed???.....it's a gauze filter that is replaced complete, but there is no mention of it in the handbook.....and not cheap.. Ian
