  1. Hi! I had a plastic part on y 5th gen which holds the cable for the electric sliding doors break this week. The main stealer wants £450 + VAT for the entire part inc metal arm as they don't list just the plastic part. Does anyone know if this part is also used on the 4th generation, as I may be able to get one from a scrappy? Alternatively does anyone know of a 5th gen being broken anywhere? Or do you know of a spares place that might just sell the plastic part? Otherwise I might just try and glue the three bits together! Thanks in advance! Rich with apologies for cross posting!

  3. I posted a link to 3 manuals un the other thread - let me know if they don't work and I'll find another way! I've only used usb 'stick' drives but they have always worked perfectly. R
  4. Hi! I've dropped the 3 manuals I have as .pdf here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/q44p7vtr4qraes3/AACiWvgOS4FSaGrMDZFTgT0Ta?dl=0 R
  5. Hi! Spare wheel sits under the console between the driver and passenger seat and is lowered using a tool to be found with the wheel brace in the plastic compartment on the left hand side of the boot as you face it. Cruise control is on the stubby stick on the right hand side of the steering wheel labelled Resume acceleration on the top line, cruise on/off on the middle and set decelerations on the bottom. Click the end button to turn it on or off. Push down to set the speed (31mph or more). Pushing the stick up then increases the set speed by 2 mph and pulling it down lowers it by 1 mph. If you've braked, once you are again above 31mph pushing it up will reset the old speed. Pulling it towards you cancels it as does pushing the end button which also turns off cruise control. At least that's how my 08 works. HTH R
  6. Hi I've uploaded the ones I've found online to my dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/sh/c0wtebrlqv5hbce/AAAb0jWqmIvgrciDuA8nVZu9a?dl=0 Cheers Rich
  7. Hi! I've just treated myself to a 5th Generation. Do I need to do the button mod on that or are they less prone to battery issues? Cheers, Rich
  8. I used the quote from Leedsman in the last post of this thread: http://www.chryslerforum.co.uk/topic/895-06-starting-issue/ HTH R
  9. Thank you for both those pieces of information! R
  10. Hi! Not sure why it is called button Mod but I put a 10p Maplin 33k resistor in today. Fiddly, but successful. I'm a trifle worried by the immediate reading the multi-tester gave but I think it will settle down after a drive (reading was on my drive straight after fitting). I'll test tomorrow after my drive to work. Have been researching solar panels for a belt and braces approach and when current battery dies I'll replace with an Optima Red, but I'm not an infrequent user, just a mainly short journeys driver, so hoping I'll be ok! Cheers Rich
  11. Hi all! Purchased an 07 plate Grand Voyager IV 2.8 Exec CRD last Sunday. I've loved them ever since watching Twister! It was purchased because my beloved K reg Land Rover Defender was broken into - they didn't get it (I suspect due to the steering lock) but did get the engine started and of course destroyed the ignition barrel in their attempt. It is now repaired but I know it is only a matter of time before they or someone else comes back and has another go so it has to go... However the GV it has become my favourite drive in the last week! (I also have a Zafira Tourer - which is now my wife's car!) I have 3 kids and we love the seperation we get between them in the Chrysler (although they still argue about who is sitting in which seat!) My son & I both play the double bass (now you see why we only have big cars!) and are delighted that we can get one bass, amp, stool, stands etc in the car with 5 seats still up or we can get both our basses in with all the gear we need with 3 seats, so can even give a lift to another musician (so long as they are not a drummer, cellist or another bass player!) I've already used this forum to check whether I should have the water pump done at the same time I have the timing belt changed (163000miles and limited service history!) and have decided 'yes' unless it has a sticker on it giving the date it was replaced! At some point I may be looking to upgrade the single cd player but am enjoying listening to old CDs at the moment and have dug out an old iTrip FM transmitter which I'm testing on an old phone. Anyhow, I guess that introduces me! Cheers for now, Rich
