Replacement Abs Pump And Control Unit
Victorthevoyager posted a question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
My wife’s Voyager has a problem with the abs control module. I contacted Chrysler and they gave me the number 05093988AA for a replacement for the car. This doesn’t seem to correspond with any of the units available on everyones favourite auction site. They used the vin number to search and only the control module is available, not the pump. I did a search on the internet and found a Mopar website which has some part numbers for control units which had been superseded by the number given to me by the Chrysler parts department. These are: 04686704AA 05018250AA 0508175AA Unfortunately, it would seem that it is impossible to discover the number on the control unit which is currently fitted without removing it, can anyone confirm that this is the case or tell me what to do to see the number. Is it true that if I can find a control unit with the same number as the one currently fitted then the ecu will accept it without any problems but a control unit with a different number will not be accepted without some Re-programming of the ecu? Can any competent auto electrician do the Re-programming or only Chrysler? -
Abs Control Module Replacement

Did this topic ever reach a resolution? Only asking as my wife’s Voyager has a problem with the abs control module. I contacted Chrysler and they gave me the number 05093988AA for a replacement for the car. This doesn’t seem to correspond with any of the units available on everyones favourite auction site, could it be an updated part number for the original part? They used the vin number to search and only the control module is available, not the pump. -

Engine Light On
Victorthevoyager replied to Victorthevoyager's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Hi Guys, Thanks to you all for your help. Unfortunately, no matter how quickly or slowly I did the key thing it wouldn’t display a fault code so I took the car to my local friendly garage. The engine fault light was on when I arrived but when the mechanic connected his kit to the car and switched the ignition on the fault cleared and there was nothing in the fault history either! So, I’m non the wiser about what the fault was and, with luck, it won’t return. Once again, thanks very much for the help and advice. Paul -
Engine Light On

I’m not sure what you mean by not going all the way to either end. I watched the video and did the same as in the video but still no fault code. I haven’t done this before as I used to have a tablet with torque pro on it but now I have an iPad and no torque pro, hence my attempt to get the code using the ignition key. -

Engine Light On
Victorthevoyager replied to Victorthevoyager's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Thanks for your reply Dave. I’m switching the key from the first position to when the ignition is on and back to the first position 3 times. Is this correct? Cheers, Paul -
Hi, the engine light has come on in our 2005 2.8 CRD Grand Voyager. I tried switching the ignition on and off quickly 3 times to see the fault code but nothing was displayed. The car drives fine apart from a little hesitation at times when asking for sharp acceleration from a standstill but it has done that for the best part of the 3 years we have owned it. Is there a trick to get the fault code displayed, or do some faults not show a code? We need to use the car as our daughter and grandchildren arrive this week for a two week holiday. As it’s currently driving fine is it safe to use?

Perform Service Indicator
Victorthevoyager replied to Victorthevoyager's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Found it on the Internet. Follow steps: 1. Ignition on 2. Press the reset menu button until the service interval is displayed 3. Repeatedly press the step button until the desired service interval is displayed 4.Press the C/T button until the display changes 5. Press the step button until YES appears ( I didn’t get this ) 6. Press the C/T button then switch the ignition off. The service interval should now be set to whatever you selected, I chose 10000 Kilometres which is roughly 6000 Miles but there were quite a few to choose from. Hope this helps someone else with the same problem as I had, and thanks once again to Semmysonic. Cheers, Paul -

Hi Semisonic, I tried to reset the distance to the next service but it appears to be fixed at 5000 kilometres. Can you please tell me how to alter the distance setting? Cheers, Paul -

Hi Semmysonic, Thanks for your reply. I didn’t know that you can set the distance to the next service, I’ll have a look at that later today. Cheers, Paul -

I know how to reset the service indicator, I was trying to find out why it was telling me to perform a service after only 4000miles -

Out of the 30 views no-one knows? Surely someone has a clue. Is there a sensor for when the oil filter is past it’s best or the viscosity of the oil has degenerated? What is the normal interval between services? I had the oil and filter changed today just to be safe as I have a 800 mile round trip this weekend. Come to think of it, the last time the perform service indicator came on was just before another long journey. Maybe the car is psychic!
