Timing Belt Job Diy - 2.8 Crd
GVCamper replied to karmannski's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
I don't know the english word for it but its a locking pin allowing for only one way to mount the gears on the camshafts. These were conical press fit. -

Timing Belt Job Diy - 2.8 Crd
GVCamper replied to karmannski's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
When the thermostat dies next time I suggest you do the Renault thermostat in the front top hose. Andyb2000 has a how to on youtube with links for purchase, makes that job into a 10 minute one and much cheaper. Been running that mod for over 6 months no hassle -
Timing Belt Job Diy - 2.8 Crd
GVCamper replied to karmannski's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
The camshafts doesn't have pins so the blocking kit is essential. Just doing the belt would run you something like 4 hours, closer to 10 when doing the waterpump too. Would personally do both as a WP failure ruins everything. Did mine 6k kilometers ago, not looking forward to next change at 300k kms -

Hi guys, recently did a audio install in my 05 with 4x Ground Zero 6x9, Power Acoustic amplifier hidden inside dash and some Pioneer 5.25" on top of dash. I kinda decided i wanted to add a subwoofer but not lose the stow and go functionality, anyone had any luck with those under seat active woofers under the drivers seat?

Anti Roll Bar Bush Replacement
GVCamper replied to andyb2000's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Looks the same as mine, but had it on a lift and they were both accesible from underneath. I cant remember it being nut and bolt either, if not mistaken i just removed the bottom one and flipped it up to remove the old one. -

GVCamper replied to andyb2000's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Mine swapped easily, just removed the end links and put the new bushings on from there. I think i have just the same engine and heater so i can't understand what comes in the way on yours. -
Yeah mine is a 05 btw

Gonna do a filter and oil change on the 2.8 crd auto and can't seem to find reliable numbers on how much atf +4 to buy. Not gonna flush it as everywhere i read they don't like it. The average of what i find is 4-4.5 quarts, would that be correctly.

Adapter For Stereo 2006 Crd Grand
GVCamper replied to karmannski's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
I did this in my 05 with no hassle, if you dont have the infinity system originally there is no external amplifiers. -
Have you done the key dance to get codes in the cluster? Mine showed fuel pressure too low/high code which is p1130. I changed the pressure release valve at the end of the fuelrail which solved everything. Its a bosch part which can be had at ebay for a okay price and a real simple job as its right under the plastic cover on top of the engine and screws right out. Just remember to pressurize the system with the hand pump before starting it.

Engine Oil Thrown Out Through The Dipstick
GVCamper replied to mikebh8's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
A bit hard to diagnose without seeing or hearing it, sounds like venting is closed as said before. If this problem keeps up after fixing that it might be gasket blow by, i dont believe its ring/piston blowby as you say it only comes on after running a while -

GVCamper replied to Stifler's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
When i got P1130 and had the same starting problems i changed the pressure release valve at the end of the fuel rail and it is a different world afterwards. -
I disconnected at the second plug inside the fender and measured there with no luck, the wires go in to the loom just below this. If I cannot pinpoint it I will try to draw power from the front blinker just to pass mot
