As far as I remember, Simoni supply FIAT for their aftermarket and accessories catalogue Something is better than nothing :-) They could be bought for 60 quid from this fella, who deals with end of line sell offs, I just bought the corresponding set for my wife's 1.4 multiair :-D

I love the randomness of life

I got Brembo, front and rear, work well, no screeching and no fade in hard use

Speak for yourself ;-D

It goes to a vacuum/pressure capsule under the battery (I think) Little rubber pipes have always been a problem on Italian cars
-
Probably wouldn't help! With a filter change, 1980s and 90s fiat's used to be 4 (litres) and feck it, when refilling, my wife's 1st Punto (01) took less than 3 litres and her subsequent Bravo and Delta are a little more than 3 litre fills. Overfilled, you could have the block/head drain pipe sitting in oil
-
What oil was used? Selenia energy K is the recommended oil and does work well, there is also a little oil filter in the head that may be choked, it is under the timing cover at the back of the head

New versus old, they will settle

Gawd, that reminds me of a Ritmo/Strada 130 that I had, the hot/cold cable had broken and it was a pain in the exit orifice to do (dash out etc) so if I wanted hot I lifted the bonnet and tweaked the tap, if during the spin I wanted cold, I just opened a window!!!
-
A bit of both really!!!
-
But we still love our Italian cars ?

A few things about clutches and the Delta The clutch kit is 2 piece as The release bearing is concentric and is combined with the slave cylinder and expect to pay around 50 for this alone,. There is also a dual mass flywheel fitted which can be around 350 to replace The actual clutch would be equivalent to the Bravo and Punto T-Jet engines

Ecu Remapping For The 1.4 Multi Air. Will It Add Any Benefits?
Andrewgrale replied to Dido's question in Chrysler Delta
I wouldn't touch it, especially with the electric wastegate system (too much to go wrong with devastating consequences)I was involved with integrales and all chipping did was; 1, blow headgaskets and 2, ruin a perfectly good car -
I have Pirelli P7s in 225 45 x 17 on my 2017 Tipo diesel sedan and at 80k kms, the fronts lasted for 70k and the rears are still going strong. I use Barum in 205 55 x 16 on my wife's Delta and no problem reported there either

You need the hands of an ambidextrous, double jointed, piano playing midwife to change the bulbs on the Delta!!! What really works is a mirror, a good torch and patience That said, you will find the dip bulbs blackened inside the glass and the difference that new bulbs make, will be worth all the hardship
-
I have disconnected the battery at least 10 times and also replaced the battery twice (with newer stop/start batteries from imminent trade ins) in the 4years of Delta ownership and have never had a need for the code card (which is in the document folder) I think that there's a capacitor in the units that allows for up to 12 hours of disconnection
-
This could even be a dirty fuse in the fusebox, that happened with my wife's Delta, the left-hand front DRL stopped working, so I got a new one and fitted it,to discover that the fuse powering it had some corrosion on the blade . . After removing the bumper to fit the new light

1.4 140Hp Limited Torque And High Fuel Consumption
Andrewgrale replied to kapetanikolas's question in Chrysler Delta
"Also, the electronic turbo fan indicator on the dashboard (assuming that it can be trusted...) never seems to indicate the turbo engaging in first or second gear unless I practically floor the pedal.." That's why I think it's a leak :-D -
1.4 140Hp Limited Torque And High Fuel Consumption
Andrewgrale replied to kapetanikolas's question in Chrysler Delta
This sounds like a leak, there's a pressure capsule, which informs the ecu of manifold and turbo pressure (under the battery I think??) Fed by 6mm rubber piping which are notorious for cracking and breaking. Check the pipework around the turbo inlet pipe (same reason, 6mm piping cracked) It sounds like your turbo boost is leaking somewhere but the ecu may be making the mixture rich, which may explain the fuel consumption
