managed to get the Dealer to pay for the Timing belt and water pump and a good service

thats all well and good but it doesnt answer the question. i need the correct information as ammo to fight the garage

just bought a 2012 Delta 1.6 ME Diesel. The garage tells me that the timing belt doesn't need changing until 150000 miles however the maintenance book says 84000 miles or 4 years, the car has 88000 miles on the clock, what is the right answer
