Developing Problem? Jumping/loss Of Power
Newdelta replied to Brendon1977's question in Chrysler Delta
Mine got worse and worse and they could not get to the bottom of it. With 6 months warranty left and no fault code I have got rid. Got to the point the turbo was spooling back on full acceleration and some times doing 3 judders in quick succession. -
Hi, I never had nav, Just Blue and me.

Hi, I did it with lancia and guess what it started to speak Italian. The good news is I then installed the UK Language pack. http://www.blueandme.net/resources/download/APPLICATIVI/Cambio_Lingua/Page/Html_Lingue/index_en.html

Rubber Boot Stops Going Through Your Paint.
Newdelta replied to Newdelta's question in Chrysler Delta
Hi, Repaint is the only option, but mobile phone screen protectors seem to work well. Just cut them to shape. -

It goes for an overnight stay in September. I go on holiday in it tomorrow, bloody hope it does not go wrong. Breakdown cover taken out just in case. -

I may try it the other way and screw them out, perhaps they are not exerting enough pressure so are moving as I drive? -

@@Brendon1977 Have got them to confirm it should not be doing it. They are getting Fiat technical specialists in to show them (presume their is a crack team of fiat engineers somewhere) will be a couple of weeks before they come in and I get the info back with what is wrong with it. -

Commute was fine, so looks like MAF or ERG. -
Developing Problem? Jumping/loss Of Power
Newdelta replied to Brendon1977's question in Chrysler Delta
Disconnect the electrics your MAF (left of the turbo) and go for a short spin. I have tried this and the car worked great and seemed quicker and more responsive and the awful "darth vader" chatter off acceleration has gone. (further test to follow as I am going to leave it off for my home commute of 15 miles) At least that has proven there is an issue. It is now going in for an ERG clean and possible MAF replacement tomorrow. -
Developing Problem? Jumping/loss Of Power

I have checked my pipes today and the pipe going into my turbo is not off but it is lose, I can't pull it off but can move it side to side about 1cm. But it looks like it has been like that for a bit as it has polished the metal on the connector on the turbo. If that likely my problem, is yours the same? -

http://s30.postimg.org/totjgokwh/WP_20140814_002.jpg Not the best as I have put a bit of new paint with new stickers on today but you can see where it has already indented. The other side gets worse but I have put a part of a mobile phone protector on that side on top of the sticker and that is holding up better tonight. -
Does anyone else's boot stops wear through their paint. I had my worn areas repainted last year and they have done it again! Is there an alternative stop available as at the moment I am using vinyl stickers but they only last about 6 months before the stops eat through them.

Noise When Coming Off Throttle At Around 1500-2000 Rpm
Newdelta replied to Newdelta's question in Chrysler Delta
Every car i have had since 2003 (around 10) have been turbo cars. Non have them have made this noise. Sounds like darth vader with a cold, like another poster I do get the occasional misfire now / turbo cutting out while it does it. -
You right, I struggled to find any bodykited ones so presumed it was almost identical to the momo s-series. Just found a kitted one .http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/chrysler/delta/delta-diesel-hatchback-1-6-m-jet-sr-5dr/371142 Not a good look, looks like my insurance company saved me some regret.
-
From what I saw the body kit makes it more like the momo design special editions ones which came out in 2013. It was more a case of it being a bargain to be honest, never had a kit on a car before. Never will after seeing the insurance increase.

Clunk When Changing Gear And Coming On And Off Accelerator.
Newdelta replied to Newdelta's question in Chrysler Delta
Can't exactly but it sounds like it is from the transmission, it is intermittent. -
I nearly purchased a body kit of ebay as it was really cheap, but it would of added £100 to my insurance so did not bother.

Noise When Coming Off Throttle At Around 1500-2000 Rpm
Newdelta replied to Newdelta's question in Chrysler Delta
Hi, Garage have said it is a characteristic, but its getting worse. I can get it to do it on demand. Accelerate slowly upto around 1800 1500 rpm and you will start to hear a little chatter, take my foot of the gas quick and you get the sound. It is really bugging me, sounds like something to do with the turbo? -
Clunk When Changing Gear And Coming On And Off Accelerator.
Newdelta posted a question in Chrysler Delta
Hi Problem part 2 I get a clunk most of the time I change gear or coming of the accelerator then accelerating again. Does everyone else's do this? is it just the DMF doing it job? Regards -
Hi, I am getting an issue. Sounds like mechanical air escaping/ stick being dragged along the floor sound when coming off throttle mainly in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears. Sometime I get a bit of breif drop in power accompanied with it, Just a split second. Garage have checked it and have said it is not the turbo and is a characteristic of the car, I am finding this hard to believe as it never did it a couple of months ago and seems to be getting more regular. It happens virtually all the time on soft acceleration (town driving) when the car is warm. Any ideas as it is doing my head in.
