  1. What are they doing in the back row? Are they reading or using a mobile or tablet? or could simply be the movement when they can't see much.
  2. Possibly, but it's my understanding any fuel leak would be tiny and probably end up in the electrical plug, causing it to burn out. Cheapest go to for me has always been the fuel filter. Has it been changed or off recently? If it has, remove and refit it. If it hasn't, change it.
  3. Got a reconditioned one from Ebay. Was around £100, 6 month guarantee. They supplied the returns label in the delivery packaging to send mines back to them.
  4. To confirm a blocked radiator, get the temp up and try to press the top radiator hose. If it's quite solid, I'd lean towards a blockage. The other way would be up to temperature, then jamb the fan so it can't come on without warning. Put fingers through to feel top and bottom of radiator. If cold at the bottom and hot at the top, blocked radiator.
  5. Take the filter out again and double check there's not 2 o-rings in there. Long shot, but worth a go, and something that has been reported before.
  6. I got mines from a dealer that used to sell Chryslers. I'm sure it still sells Jeep or Dodge. Might just have been lucky that they still had one in stock, but I'd call round ones locally. There was one ebay seller that could get me one, but they were around £120 odd. One of the ones that have jeepchrysler in their username.
  7. I'd go with labelled wrong, your replacement part is 70cm short, which is a bit of a coincidence considering the actual difference between the stow n go and non stow n go is 70cm. I can 100% confirm 04721246AC fitted my 2006 stow n go.
  8. Got rid of my voyager because mines was no good for towing. It may have been an underlying fault/issue with the gearbox. I'd had the fluid and filter changed nd it made no difference. Even with an empty towavan on the back, it would kick down too readily trying to maintain 50 on the flat. I got the temp creeping up when going to Cornwall, up a couple of the big long climbs, but it settled again once on the flat/downhill. That was with 1600kg on the back.
  9. When chasing a power drain on an 02 plate CRD, I found a second fuse strip tucked away in the rear wheel well, where the jack is stored. I'd pulled the fuses, and put one in the wrong slot, which caused my indicators to flash faster than they should. Can't remember if there was a relay in there, and the fuse strip might only have been there as it had a factory fitted towbar on it, but might be worth a look.
  10. Can't see the police checking bulbs or informing your insurer they are not standard equipment. Even if they did, i'd think it would have to be proven the lights caused any insurance claim that had arisen. Put non standard bulbs in today, they give up to 150% more light than standard. Still coded E. Had looked at non road legal bulbs, but I'd rather not blind people.
  11. Is there any relays next to it with the same markings? I've just swapped them before to check things. Failing that, £3.99 on ebay but coming from China. Item number 112198680170
  12. Assuming you've got a stow n go model, the Chrysler part number is 04721246AC That's the one I bought for my 2006 stow n go and it was the correct one. Mines was around £74, bought from the local Jeep parts department, that used to deal with Chryslers. I did find one elsewhere (phoned a chrysler specialist on Ebay) but they wanted around £130.
  13. Hi Mark, if you post in this section of the forum, you'll probably get more responses. http://www.chryslerforum.co.uk/forum/31-voyager-4th-generation-2001-2007/
  14. You need to find whats causing it My guess is under charging and possibly a battery drain as well (had both issues on both my GV's) It's all well documented, perhaps join www.chryslerforum.com as well. For my battery drain, it was due to there being a constant live feed to the radio (aftermarket stereo at some point, someone must have wired it in). I bodged that by fitting an isolator switch to cut the feed. Charging issue explained in this thread. First post gives you the solution. https://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/chrysler-voyager-town-country-21/interest-those-getting-flat-batteries-20297/
  15. I'm in central Scotland. I've posted it to folks before, it was under a tenner each way. Just checked, DHL are £8.63 for a next day service, collection would be Monday. You'll need the injectors out to get to the rockers and see what's what.
  16. 8 rockers, yes. I had a belt snap previously. Here's my thread on another forum when mines went. https://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/chrysler-voyager-town-country-21/2-5-crd-timing-belt-loads-damage-10979/ The injectors are a pig to get out though, so much so I had to buy an injector puller. If you go ahead with repairs, I've the genuine Chrysler puller one here if you need it. I'd happily post it to you at cost, as long as I get it back again. http://www.vmdieselspecialist.com/worth a call to price parts, I've used them a few times (replacement injector seals and o-rings, gasket)
  17. 8 rockers. Then all the parts that you would have bought for a cam belt change anyway. The injectors will need to come out to get to the rockers (this can be a pain) and you'll probably need an alignment tool to set it up again. Prices are cheaper now than when mines went, just had a look and you can get a timing belt kit with water pump for as little as £120. I was £185 for the water pump alone. Rockers on ebay, £75 for 16. £14 for a locking kit.
  18. Heater, and the change to winter diesel at the pump could be the cause of the fuel economy reduction. Had white smoke smelling of diesel with mines first start of the day, I'd assumed it was fuel leaking in overnight and this was burning off again. Never investigated fully.
  19. Mines cost around £1600 after the belt snapped. I'd go with the £450
  20. Sure it was Jeepchryslerparts I tried to source a front handbrake cable from (stow and go). They were £140. I got one from my local ex Chrysler dealer for £78. I suspect JCP were buying direct and adding their cut. Have you tried local places, ex Chrysler dealers for quotes? https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=chrysler+dealers+Edinburgh&rlz=1C1CHBF_en-GBGB807GB807&oq=chrysler+dealers+Edinburgh&aqs=chrome..69i57j0.6215j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 I work next to A, the part was delivered to A from C. If you want to see if they can help you out, I could pick it up and post the parts to you (if they can't post themselves). Just to say they look to be Fiat dealers, but they were Chrysler/Jeep previously. That was a couple of years ago now, but failing that, I'd try Jeep or Dodge dealers local to you.
  21. I'm on a Mondeo Estate now. Had a double bed to move today, it went in, just. The Mondeo tows better (my pet peeve with the GV) and does 50 MPG compared to the 25 my GV done, but I still miss it.
  22. My 2006 2.8 only had one at the front. Front of engine, left of centre (standing at the front looking towards the engine). Housing visible from the top, access to actual filter for removal, easier from down below.
  23. Mines just pulled straight out. May have been a small retaining clip or similar at some point, if there was, mines was broken. On both my Voyagers.
  24. I've a set here, bought brand new for my first Voyager and were only on the car a couple of years. I just went to an alloy wheel place and they supplied what was needed. I tried to sell them in 2015, and from my ebay ad, apparently you'll be needing 7Jx16h2 5 stud alloy wheels.
  25. First done it whilst towing, now does it when solo and full, I'd suspect the radiator is silting up. Had it on other cars, get it up to temperature, do something to make sure the fan wont start spinning (jam with something, it'll only take a few seconds) and feel the radiator, top and bottom. Will be cooler/cold at the bottom if it's blocked. Radiator hose would be hard to press as well, due to the pressure.
