  1. Hi guys, I have this very problem now! It started 2 days ago! Did you manage to sort it?! I’ve taken mine to my mechanic and the code reader says it’s the camshaft sensor, however I’ve bought a new one and my mechanic has fitted but we still have the same problem. Mine is a 3.3 auto, and it can be fine for a few miles (usually is to begin with), but then surging, feels although no fuel is getting through. I was stood on driveway and revved ok up to 2000 rpm but then just over 2250 rpm she started to misfire, splutter and surge again. Bloody car!
  2. Hi guys, I apologise I’ve been a bit pre-occupied lately so haven’t had much of a chance to get on here! I’m not sure if I’ve asked about this before or not but I can’t find anything on the forum about it. Has anybody had stickers made for the forum? How does everyone feel about it? Cheers, Rob
  3. Well guys, I did it! She’s now LPG’d!!! :-) I went and used ProfessGas near Cardiff in the end, and they use STAG systems. I did some research on other forums on the STAG systems and decided to go for it. I must say first impressions are good, but I won’t say too much yet and leave a full review after more use. For your information though, I had fitted a 140 litre tank in the boot. It’s sunk down where the spare wheel was but does take boot space up. It will still have a useful boot though as I’m going to fit a parcel shelf with ply or mdf above the tank. First impressions of the job done by ProfessGas are good. Neat job of installing the tank, nozzle fill point is done very discreetly, equipment in the bonnet looks neat. The STAG system changes seamlessly you can hardly notice the change from petrol to gas unless you’re trying to notice it. Nice neat button to disengage the LPG and to let you know a rough gauge of gas left. Happy boy! Pictures to follow...
  4. Is it these two star bolts that you undo? Then I presume you push the fog light through the front??? Cheers in advance, sorry I need a lot of details as I’m just instructing my PA (carer) what to do (frustrating sometimes)! Lol Thank you, Rob
  5. Hey! Front fog lights on my facelift guys, how are they taken out? I’ve got water in the one so I want to sort it out. Easy to get whole fog lamp out or not? Cheers
  6. Me again! Right. 2 different companies as options now. Profess Gas - Stag systems - £1500 Fairwater Garages - BRC Systems - £2100 What does everyone think? I know you rate the BRC systems highly, but I’ve heard good things about these STAG systems too! Cheers
  7. Hey Nev, I’m not sure tbh. As you know it’s the wheelchair conversion and the floor is very low all the way from the back bench seat right the way through. There’s definitely no room underneath. The spare wheel is in the boot under the flap with the jack in a separate compartment by the side. Yes that’s a good point about contacting the people in Bristol, I’ll do that. Better be safe than sorry, especially seeming as there’s so many mixed opinions/reviews on the net about the company. Can anybody tell me what the size of the tank in the 3.3 petrol is (the standard petrol tank)??? Cheers, Rob
  8. Well guys, some more news on this. Went to ProfesssGas Hengoed, Wales yesterday and he was a really helpful guy. Spoke to a customer that turned up there and he loves his conversion. They’re not UKLPG registered but as he explained I could get that if I needed by going to a Centre in Bristol, and they charge £30 to gain the certification. They use STAG systems. Unfortunately I will have to take up the boot and spare wheel space for my vehicle as it’s a converted wheelchair vehicle (Braun Entervan). The floor is really low, so unfortunately just can’t fit it anywhere underneath. I’ll be doing a lot of miles in her about 450 a week on average, so I need a large tank. He explained to me that I don’t want to go to big because of the weight. I’m thinking a 120 or 140 ltr tank. Any thoughts/opinions guys??? Anybody used this STAG system??? Thank you!
  9. Yes definitely Nev! Thank you pal for the help, much appreciated!
  10. Hahaha! What do you think?! Lol. Went with most of the guys opinions on here in the end, and went with the 6k version! I was thinking of going to 5k but the guys comments on here persuaded me for the 6k! Lol. May have to go out for a spin tonight to test them! I had some before 6k on a Mercedes Sprinter I had, they were brilliant!
  11. Hi all, I found this on YouTube last night. It’s a link to a video showing a ready assembled harness so that you can fit an aftermarket unit and get rid of the amplifier, keeping all the factory speakers. Has anybody ordered this from the company and what were the results like??? I realise Andy’s doing the hard work now but any of you gone down the route of buying this harness from these guys and taking the amp out etc??? I’m tempted by this but I’d want to keep my steering wheel controls for the cruise and I’m not sure if this is possible. I’m going to ring the company for further information on Monday. Cheers, Rob
  12. Put HID’s in today aswell. Put LED’s in all the interior lights last week. Really happy with the way she’s coming on. Still trying to sort my suspension so that it’s better for me to get in and out, looks like I’m going to have to put the airbag suspension allround! :-/ Then LPG! It’s not cheap but I love my GV and it’s changed my independence hugely! Love it!
  13. Thank you @@bignev brilliant! Thank you for taking the time to take it out and take pics! A bit of a job to get it out, more so worried about damaging the dash, but it’s all good and we’re lit up now!!! Thank you!
