It’s the new one that still sits low. I took it to a Chrysler specialist today and they said it’s the wrong spring. The original garage have now agreed to replace it

Hi, I’ve had a front coil spring changed due to one snapping. I’ve only had the one side doing (yes I know should be in pairs) however I’m unsure if the correct spring is fitted. The car now leans slightly on the side that has the new coil. Also the coil looks like it’s wound differently. Garage say it’s ok but my friend who is a mechanic by trade but unable to work at the moment, said it doesn’t seem right to him. Could anyone upload a picture of the left and right hand side coils on their cars so I can see if mine looks the same or different please?

I’ve just had the tracking done on a gyro and everything is set perfect but when accelerating it pulls to one side. MOT has just been done and the mechanic has checked but can’t find the reason. Has anyone else had anything like this?

Hi all, the rear washer jet isn’t working but I know the pump is. I pulled the carpet back on the drivers side which is where I assume the hose is but it’s all encased in plastic and some things seem to go off in to the middle of the car, however I then can’t trace them. Do they go under where the middle seat storage? Or am I looking in the complete wrong place?

I got it running clean by that method this afternoon, filled with water again took for a short run and it came out dirty again. No where near as bad as previously though. I guess I’ll keep going with it for as long as I can flushing it with water and driving it short journeys then flush again etc till I see a good improvement. I didn’t but a garage that I used to take the car to did (k seal) and I guess that’s what I’m now seeing coming out of the car. Oh also I’ve got that webasto heater. Will that flush through even if the light isn’t on? Or does water only flow through it when the light is on? Hopefully this is nearly done though! Thanks again all of you!

The problem I have is no easy way of using a hose and my neighbour complains about the fumes which I understand but I need to just get this done now. Should I have the bottom pipe loose so water is just leaking out around it or just have the drain on the radiator open at the bottom?

Morning QinteQ, I’ve now flushed around 30l and it’s still coming out a rusty orange colour which I believe is from using kseal in the past. I’ve not added coolant yet because It isn’t clear. Will it ever become actually clear do you think? I don’t want to add the new coolant until I’m certain that it’s got no other coolant in. Should I just keep flushing? I’m using distilled water for all flushes as our water area is very hard and I don’t want limescae build up in the system.

It comes up saying service parking assist with the 4 red led leds on the back. This can flick on and off between driving normally without being in reverse

Ive had the same. When driving along it will come on, go off etc. I need to work out if it’s a faulty sensor or dodgy connector or wiring. Where did you get your sensor from to replace it?

You’ve been so much help the last few days mate I really appreciate all your help I really do. One more thing though when you say burp what do you mean? Wit the heater on full you’ll hear it make a burp noise?

That’s pretty Much what I was planning on doing don’t suppose you’ve got a link to the HOAT coolant do you?

How many times should I flush do you think? Just do it until the water is clear? Also can I use RODI water instead of distilled? You say only front flush never back flush I assume I would just drain from the rad, re fill with water, drive with heater on, then drain that off and repeat? I feel luck is no where to be seen with this car at the moment!

Thanks guys. Think I’m going to need to flush the system as I’m pretty sure it’s got OAT coolant and not HOAT which I believe is the one needed in these engines. Fun times ahead this week!!

So on top of all the issues my cars had recently today I’ve noticed a leak which I think is the radiator. I’ve found this one on eBay and think it’s the right one but there always seems so many variations! Thanks again QinteQ. That’s what I was thinking about the 5w40. Are there any oils you’d pick over others? I’ve been looking on Opie oils and have seen a few brands etc. Casterol on their site recommend their edge range 5w40 but Opie oils say magnatec. Then there’s Mobil1, Shel etc just don’t know what to do! Thanks again for all input so far

So any full synthetic 5w40 would be the thing to go for? Was thinking casterol edge, mobil1 or shell helix ultra?

Sorry thought I said for a 2.8crd 2007. This is what the manual says (if I can upload the pictures). I like you want the best for the car and with it only doing mainly short trips I want it to be right

Thanks again mate one more thing, with the oil, I found my manual and it says about using ACEA A3/B3 or A3/B4. Is it important to find an oil with those specs too?

I’m fairly low mileage too. I was thinking 5w40 so nice to have my thoughts confirmed. Any particular types you’d recommend? Oh and I got one of those Genius jump packs on amazon lightning deal! 2000amp for just over £100

I’m sure this has been asked before 100’s of times but what oil are people using? Need to do an oil change and always gone to a mechanic before but going to do it my self this time
