  1. Please see the link attached. Take is a guide and not for granted. www.puretyre.co.uk/tyre-information/tyre-pressures/chrysler-tyre-pressures/
  2. Hi, same as bignev, never heard of front parking sensors on a grand voyager. However, I fitted some front view cameras and to turn them on I fitted a switch, usually on the gearbox lever. Could be that somewhere is a switch so the driver doesn't get annoyed by them beeping every time the car gets behind another car in traffic?! Hope it helps
  3. On my autodata does not say anything on the "key programming" section, and I checked all years and models under neon section. This let me believe the only way is with a key programming software. Hope it helps.
  4. Hi, after checking the autodata that I have, no 17in tyres came out for grand voyager... I wonder if they came from a different model. I used to have 18in FROM A 300C. However, all the other models and years show the tyre pressure as 2.5bar or 36psi ( except the 18in from 300c hemi which is 4.2bar). A Canadian( doesn't matter mach where he's from, but he always drove american cars...that doesn't matter either) once told me that putting 40psi in all the tyres it should do, since than I always do it and never had problems. Hope it helps.
  5. Don't get discouraged by all these parts replaced, a friend of mine spent 2500 on a auto gearbox repair only on a jeep grand Cherokee... Another friend of mine bought a 2011 "good car" what he believed, after only three months he had to replace the flywheel... A new car is no different than an old car, the only difference you get is some warranty, but when things go wrong the seller will try to blame the driver not the car... Plus these cars are to comfy not to be fixed, and eventually you will have a car half new.
  6. I don't remember the brand that I used, however when my engine failed, after only few miles with the new cam belt, I kept it and used it on the "new" engine, it still works. Also, Goodyear is meant to be a good rubber brand.
  7. Hi, it happen to me on the motorway. It was the thermostat. What engine do you have on? Mine is 2.5 crd manual. I bought a second hand engine (330 including delivery) and did the work myself. If you do it at a garage it will cost you, unless you find an engine that comes fitted by the seller and in some cases they give you 30-90 days warranty on it. Mind that, while you fit it you have to do cam belt, water pump, thermostat, clean the turbo, oil and filters, ??? clutch depending how is the old one??? Makes sure the sensors are checked, and nevertheless give a good flash to the "new" engine to clear all the passages for oil and water. Good luck with it.
  8. Hi, I had a 99 grand voyager that had those symptoms... In my case was head gasket, the water was pushed into the manifold exhaust and eventually evaporated into the exhaust, I was putting 2 litres every few days. Plus oil in the expansion tank is a sign of head gasket failure. You can try this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/272810410924?chn=ps&dispItem=1&adgroupid=43333907642&rlsatarget=pla-299844085363&abcId=1088846&adtype=pla&merchantid=101725210&poi=&googleloc=9045715&device=m&campaignid=805983114&crdt=0&ul_ref=http%253A%252F%252Frover.ebay.com%252Frover%252F1%252F710-134428-41853-0%252F2%253Fmpre%253Dhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.ebay.co.uk%25252Fitm%25252Flike%25252F272810410924%25253Fchn%25253Dps%252526dispItem%25253D1%2526itemid%253D272810410924%2526targetid%253D299844085363%2526device%253Dm%2526adtype%253Dpla%2526googleloc%253D9045715%2526poi%253D%2526campaignid%253D805983114%2526adgroupid%253D43333907642%2526rlsatarget%253Dpla-299844085363%2526abcId%253D1088846%2526merchantid%253D101725210%2526gclid%253DCjwKCAjwlrnNBRBMEiwApKU4POCzoW_-yhyzUGAxuvFaXuDGZYjlNbfcr0GY6NFWPlUxT7uI9eT_cxoCLAMQAvD_BwE%2526srcrot%253D710-134428-41853-0%2526rvr_id%253D1301841868549 It worked on a Peugeot that I have and was throwing oil out in the engine bay. Otherwise, find a different mechanic and do a gasket test, eventually a replacement. Hope it helps.
  9. At this stage is not enough just to fill the system, it needs vacuumed and then refilled. You want to do it yourself? Here is what you need: www.koolairconsupplies.com/actecmax-refrigeration-air-conditioning-r134a-manifold-gauge-set-r134a8000.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw87PNBRBAEiwA0XAIr-7w375l6NrnWgYtP93b6TPrDdT1BAD4ldbqHozcD2f6pKOEis9OARoCvKMQAvD_BwE http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/112466892768?chn=ps&dispItem=1&adgroupid=13585920426&rlsatarget=pla-142405604466&abcId=&adtype=pla&merchantid=6995734&poi=&googleloc=9045715&device=m&campaignid=207297426&crdt=0&ul_ref=http%253A%252F%252Frover.ebay.com%252Frover%252F1%252F710-134428-41853-0%252F2%253Fmpre%253Dhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.ebay.co.uk%25252Fitm%25252Flike%25252F112466892768%25253Fchn%25253Dps%252526dispItem%25253D1%2526itemid%253D112466892768%2526targetid%253D142405604466%2526device%253Dm%2526adtype%253Dpla%2526googleloc%253D9045715%2526poi%253D%2526campaignid%253D207297426%2526adgroupid%253D13585920426%2526rlsatarget%253Dpla-142405604466%2526abcId%253D%2526merchantid%253D6995734%2526gclid%253DCjwKCAjwlrnNBRBMEiwApKU4PM4NX8764BpaoAzrx-umYoGFwu7BZgBWka_fHDMy0jiuk6fw_45N9xoCSoQQAvD_BwE%2526srcrot%253D710-134428-41853-0%2526rvr_id%253D1301827769525 While there, I'll check the oil in the compressor, if it was removed and place upsidedown, more likely came out, plus a replacement doesn't do any harm. A vacuum pump which vacuums to a minimum of 29.9 minHg, I made one from a fridge compressor. A precise kitchen scale. And obviously the gas according to your car, most likely is r134a( find out how much). If there are no leaks and the vacuum stays constant for at least half an hour, you can charge the system. According to compressor's specs, you will have to keep the bottle upright or upsidedown. Complete how to videos on YouTube. If is one car only you whish to do, you're better off taking it to a shop where sometimes the leak check is free. However, answering your question, when you buy the refilling gauge and gas, it will only fit one side. Hope it helps.
  10. If the engine is "identical" with the one on the car, it should work with no extra work.
  11. Hi, do you get power to it? Try with someone pressing the brake pedal and you (or someone else if you're not confident) testing with a DC voltmeter. Hope it helps.
  12. Hi, as per when the sensor is disconnected, it shows an open circuit. Are you 100% sure the sensor is OK?! It sounds like the ecu doesn't receive any info from it?! If it is, try replacing the plug, I know you took the reading from the plug when the sensor was disconnected but... still something is not right at that end, the ecu and wiring are fine ( my opinion, not an expert). Hope it helps, sorry it took so long as you know I was a bit busy.
  13. I had that and the symptoms were oil through the dipstick and through the camshaft oil filling hole...
  14. Hi, somewhere behind the bumper, or near the tail light, you will have the connections. One is either, the color vary from manufacturer, but one of them is the supply, check if 12v comes to that end, if it does is faulty for sure. Also do you have the reverse light coming on? Hope it helps.
  15. Good info...is that a general climate reset?! I'll try the Peugeot when I have a minute.
  16. If the flap only slipped from the motor, it can be redirected to its place, if it's cracked ( they tend to that), it needs replaced or fixed...either way the dash centre frame needs to be undone( there are usually two, so at least one needs undone and it's usually the passenger side as it is more space to work on). On a Citroen C5, the whole transversal bar needed out. Good luck.
  17. Hi, not an expert but if you want to know how I do it, and done it to few cars, here is the following: Get a 12volt ACC supply to each side ( or a bridge from one side to the other this way you only get one supply to them and you only use one relay) Use two relays, one for each side (I usually fit them inside the head light), use the low beam lights as a power to the relays(I would put them on the low beam but if you wish you can use the day lights), wiring them in parallel with the low beam light bulb should do the trick. If you get power from the fuse box, fit a fuse at max 30 cm away from the fuse box, this way whatever circuit you use is protected in case of a fault on your added circuit. You could get the 12v supply directly from the battery, I would go for a 10 amp fuse, same max 30cm from the battery. Unfortunately to get the front fog light on on the dash you need to use most of the original circuit.... Hope it helps.
  18. Just make sure is the same wattage, my godfather was keep replacing them from halfords without realising he was getting .2w instead of 2w. If you can still read the numerics on it is ideal to stick with same values as sometimes the numberplate will bring up wrong items for same car.... I did buy a petrol filter once even though the car didn't have one. Hope it helps.
  19. If I may suggest, don't just empty the system, flush it with a garden hose through as many holes as you can undo.
  20. Hi, happens to one of my cars when first turned the ignition on after the battery was removed...the aircon loses its memory, never found out why though, it could be an electronic component in the motherboard of the aircon, and it tries to bring the flaps to the desired settings even though the flaps are already in place, the clicking noise is the motor overlapping. Hope it helps.
  21. I used to have, still do on some cars, android on my cars but the problem I had( more as a discomfort really), was that when in a 7-8 exits roundabout I was getting a phone call...very stressful, or on a next turn on 200 miles somewhere in Germany, when I was getting closer ( totally forgetting about how high the satnav sound was), I would hear a loud voice inside the car saying in 2 miles keep right...that was scary specially in the middle of the night when the radio volume is very low. Anyway, over the years, I found out that best is to have a satnav in the corner of the dash, a Bluetooth nicely hidden and a radio with the steering wheel controls..and if the car is fitted with the cruise control even better. However, I did upgrade few phones from 4.2 to 4.4 and even to 5.1 OS, they needed to be rooted to be able to do that...never on a car stereo though... and yes Garmin is the best navigation system I could find on the market.
  22. Hi, you will find this link very useful, was posted by someone else on the forum, I just borrowed it. http://oskin.ru/pub/chrysler-dodge/manuals/Service%20Manuals/
  23. Hi, I am good adding maps, languages, new version of igo, if you want them free of charge, let me know... The only problem is distance, but with cloud I am sure we will find a way. As per the door, if you are good with using a multimeter otherwise an electrician should be able to do it, find the wires that gives the signal from the doors to the unit and swap them, or if you eventually get to the hidden settings it might be the case of telling the unit which side you're driving, I assume. Also, now doesn't it show you the exits on European sides, when I use my old Garmin does that, I have to switch the driving side for it to show... next exit on your right. Hope it helps.
