Grand Voyager Cuts Out!
mikebh8 replied to stevewoody75's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
If the fuel pressure fault comes up at the same time with anti theft fault could be the high pressure pump. There is a flow metering sensor attached to it, try testing that. Ctc replied to Zack's post with this fault solved by replacing that sensor( solenoid valve) Hope it helps. -
New To Me 2005 Chrysler Voyager 2.8Crd. Maintenance?
mikebh8 replied to peterdemski's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Hi, if you don't have any service history to it, I would do the cam belt and oil & filters. On the cam belt I suggest the water pump to be replaced too and on the oil & filters I would do the cabin filter and gear box oil( on the gear box oil just to make sure is the right amount and that is clean) I would also check, the antifreeze grade( sometimes is just water) brakes and discs and if it comes with good tyres just the alignment, otherwise a set of tyres and soon after that the alignment ( sometimes it does not pull left or right but could be off angle and the tyre/s could worn specially on the inside) As per parts...the parts listed above are not consumable so would be dealer if you wish to have new or eBay and you might get them second hand. If you don't have the engine cover it means you don't have the insulation either, you need that too, is a piece of black mat like a sponge that goes in top of the fuel rail and injectors. I'm sure you will find some on eBay...you have to have patience with these parts as they are not common. Hope it helps. -
Injector Copper Seals
mikebh8 replied to roberttherebel57's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Eurocarparts, I don't remember if they have it in stock or on order but I got a set while ago my brother in law bought a set (different model but still) last month. -
If you can't get it as original part, try a local pressurised hose supplier. I used some on old cars where parts availability is unlikely an option... You have to tell them you need a hose for pressure and temperature and they should be able to help you. Hope it helps.

So your mirror is manual and the "new" one is electric. You might find that the wires are pulled in place, somewhere inside the trim you were probably talking at the beginning, but if the car does not have electric mirrors could be that the circuit is interrupted somewhere between the wires and the battery. Could be the fuse, could be that the switch closes the circuit... Having 5 or more wires, look at the back of the mirror (the glass itself), if it doesn't come with heating element, those could be the extra two wires. I really didn't see any grand voyagers with manual mirrors...how do you set the position to them, does it come with a small stick on the inside of the car? There is no airbag behind that trim, it can be removed by pulling from the top (next to the sun visor), and slowly working your way down, it should pop-up. You could connect them but you need an extra circuit( if is not already in place) and the button. Is not an easy job but can be done.

Problem With The Alarm Keep Going Off On My 2009 Chrysler 300C Crd
mikebh8 replied to jeankeating's topic in Newbie Forum
Hi, I personally don't have a 300C( even though I wish to have one)but if I may: Is it a periodical thing, like every 20 mins, every hour, or is intermittently? If is the second one, which I believe it is, I would look for any bugs, spiders or even traces of snails... Hope it helps. -
Every work at the mirror is done from outside, as bignev stated, the plug is inside the car's body, if you wiggle the wires that came out when the mirror is unscrewed, the plug will come out. To undo the mirror, is a plastic cover (the above side of the mirror) that hides two screws, and one can be seen with the door opened. I typed "chrysler grand voyager electric mirror" and the second video with the pink Chrysler shows how to remove it... Hope it helps.

Speedometer Not Working!
mikebh8 replied to Foggieloon's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
On the first picture it says road test, did that involve a diagnostic machine hooked to the ECU and the speed came up?!?! I doubt. -
Speedometer Not Working!
mikebh8 replied to Foggieloon's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Is not difficult, a bit of oil will come out, it can always be refilled. I got one from scrap yard, if I remember well was £8 or £10... It is held by one bolt( again if I remember well) 10mm size. When you fit the "new" one, play it a little bit or move the shaft slightly left and right so it settles in properly.. Hope you sort it. -
Speedometer Not Working!
mikebh8 replied to Foggieloon's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Mine was looking same as the one that I replaced with, did they remove the sensor or just tested..? A manual car will not go into limp mode because of the speed sensor, an auto probably. Mine was identical with the replacement one, the difference (not visible by eye) is the plastic gear was worn and not engaging with the shaft... I don't remember where I put the old one but if I find it I'll upload a picture so you can see there is no difference. Is wither that or the gears o the shaft...is very unlikely but if you have access to a second driveshaft try replacing it... -
Hi, having fuel at the injectors does not mean much. If the pump doesn't send the right pressure it won't help. Do you have power to the injectors? Did you start it with a different key than usual, it will start the car but eventually it will shut down due to lack of fuel delivery? I'm not on my PC now to check values and such, but try google it for the right value. It looks like immobiliser or auto shutdown relay which in a way are connected. Find the relay and swap them with something like fog relay or low beam relay, something not needed on start. Hope it helps.

Speedometer Not Working!
mikebh8 replied to Foggieloon's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Hi, is it manual or automatic? The picture attached is for manual and is located on one of the drive shafts. Was tat checked, assuming is manual. Hope it helps. -
What do you mean by "pressure regulator button", if is the pressure regulator valve is attached to the high pressure fuel pump, if you mean the pressure release valve ( which could be interpreted as a button) is attached to fuel pressure rail on the left as you looking at the engine. Replace one at the time, as replacing both and hopefully fixing the problem you wouldn't know which one was it. Hope it helps.

Mystery Coolant Loss 2.8 Crd
mikebh8 replied to Showman89's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Did you suggest them to check the top valve washers? If is water under the rocker cover, 80% likely would be from the that, or cracked head...very unlikely. Assuming the valves washer/s is not the water entry point, check the oil cooler, suggest them to pit pressure on the water connections(garden hose and tap water), checking the oil level is raising...with engine off. Hope it helps. -
When mine was boiling, it pushed out the lower radiator hose, so assuming is boiling, there is still a loose connection where the water is escaping from. Mind that there is pressure in the system when the driving temperature is reached. In the expansion bottle cap fault would be that it does not allow the water to be sucked back in the system while is cooling, my opinion at least.

Hi, I assume rear right is car's point of view and not by looking at it( just to clarify is not the gearbox side). Behind there is the original thermostat and oil cooler which has water hoses as well. Slightly behind is the water pump too, more to the side but I guess a leak would be pushed behind the engine. Plus, by topping only a litre every once in a while means it looses only when the engine is on otherwise would loose more and you will see it on the floor where the car is parked. Any of those connections could be loose. Leaving the car running on idle, you could spot it by removing the wiper blades, wiper motor cover and wiper motor enclosure and you can see exactly if is from there. Hope it helps.

Hi, inside the steering wheel column there is a part called "clock spring"...why it is called that way no idea. That spring is a set of wires( I've seen with 4, 6 and even with 10 when the radio control buttons and/or cruise control are mounted on the steering wheel). Anyhow, while radio or horn is working does not mean that one of the wires is not interrupted nor that it is. I will however investigate that first thing. Hope it helps.

Hi, not 100% sure but could it be the fuel pressure sensor? Not necessarily bad sensor but bad wiring or connection to it. Hope it helps

Mystery Coolant Loss 2.8 Crd
mikebh8 replied to Showman89's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
You didn't drive it so the water will boil and mix with the oil but I would go for the valves. With an inspection camera you could tell for sure, when the cap is removed due you see water drops going all other the place in there? -

mikebh8 replied to Showman89's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Hi, not sure in your case but I once did at a car the whole head gasket and water pump and what not to find out it was from some washers in top of the valves. Do you get white cream on the oil cap? To see it I was running the car to London and back(about 200 miles)with 4 litres of water added along the trip. Hope it helps. -
It is sort of a clutch...what made you replace the oil in the first place? Did you do the work or at a service? Try removing the oil, see if is clean and put it back if is recovered in a debris free environment, otherwise replace it. Check the filter, I now you said are new but if dirt was present in the gearbox, it might gone in the filter or new oil.
