Grand Voyager 2006 Ltd Xs 6 Cd Changer Problem.
Berkswolf replied to mrtibbs's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Perhaps a silly question, but you have presed one of the six numbers before attempting to insert the dvd/cd? -
Another Heating Problem
Berkswolf replied to Berkswolf's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Thanks guys. I have covered it with duct tape as per BigNev's suggestion, which I already had, so no cost at all! If it comes off too much I will try QuinteQ's idea. You don't have shares in the insulation company do you QuinteQ?. I've already used some for another of your fixes on the rad grill. Any other places to use it? -

Another Heating Problem
Berkswolf replied to Berkswolf's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Ah I see, thanks mate. A feel around revealed the filter in place but no cover. I will try and source one. -
Not seen this one before. On the passenger side footwell there seems to be two vents. One is on the right hand side of the centre consol, the other seems to come down directly from the top. The one at the side is fine and blows warm air once up to temperature. The other one which blows directly downwood is constantly freezing cold. It seems to be bringing in air directly from the outside, not via the heater, but the amount of air coming in does increase or decrease with the heater blower speed. Any ideas?

Not the Chrysler fitted one, but the Renaut in line jobby. After reading other topics on the subject of winterising the GV I decided to take the advice and do the mods. Did Quintecs? grill blocking mod with pipe insulation and was going to do the thermostat. Got one via ebay supplied by eurocarparts for a fiver. On a whim I decided to to test it before doing the mod. To my suprise it didn't seem to open in boiling water. I thought perhaps I had damaged it doing the drilling so got another. The same boiling water test showed it only opening just enough to see light through the gap, and barely at that. Is this normal? I would have thought it should open wide at boiling point. Any one else tried one?

Suspension Top Mount.
Berkswolf replied to Berkswolf's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
All done and my warrenty company paid! At least most of it, I ad to pay 10% excess and £20 as they only pay up to £50 per hour labour charges. -
Suspension Top Mount.
Berkswolf replied to Berkswolf's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Thanks for the replies guys. Looks a bit beyond my level to do so I have booked it in to be done on Friday. I do have a years warrenty on the car, but not holding my breath waiting fpor them to payout! -
Hi guys, looks like the front nearside suspension top mount has failed on my 06 GV. It went pretty sudenly and without warning and It makes an horendous clunking on every bump or pothole in the road. Anyone else had this happen? Is it a big job to do? Best place for replacement mount? Any other advise? TIA

2.5 Crd Thermostat - Sealed Unit Or Not?
Berkswolf replied to Argee's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Exellent stuff thanks guys. I have already ordered a thermostat, only a fiver so not concerned, but I will start just doing the lagging mod. My previous car, a Peugot 407 2.0 tdi heated up in no time at all in the mornings. It had a system that directed the warm water to the heater before the thermostat allowed it to go to the radiator. The GV certainly suffers by comparison to that so perhaps I am just expecting too much from as you say a massive block to warm up. -
2.5 Crd Thermostat - Sealed Unit Or Not?
Berkswolf replied to Argee's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Thanks guys. Not sure if my thermostat is stuck, I suspect not as my temp gauge does get to around half way. it just takes a good while to get there in the colder weather. i shall do the simple mods and see how it goes. -

Berkswolf replied to Argee's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
AndyB200 do you have the part number for the thermostat shown in the vid? It looks differant and easier to do than snipping as per leedsmans guide -

Bulbs and sockets collected and fitted. All is now bright again inside. -
Centre Rear Seat Belt Buckle
Berkswolf replied to Draddict's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Its more of a slot than a square, but yes, just press it with a key. Also the seats should fold away even with the belt down. Does on mine at least but of course it does slightly obstruct the luggage well. -
Interior Light Bulb/socket
Berkswolf replied to Berkswolf's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Hi Bignev. Ordered a couple from my 'local' main dealer which is about fifteen miles from me. I was probably just being lazy as I was hoping to just have them delivered. Cost was £8.50 each inc VAT which is no dearer than I would have expected to pay anyway. Didn't have them in stock, but should be here in a couple of days. -
Hi guys, the two overhead curtesy lights in the front of my GV have stopped working. Removal of cover revealed a bulb in a socket. The socket is numbered PC579, and both of them are damaged. The plastic is looking quite burnt and melted. Any ideas where to find replacements in the UK? I have sourced some from thhe USA on ebay but no luck finding any over here. TIA

Hi again guys, I recently totaled my engine undertray. It was already damaged and hanging lpwer than it should and I dragagged it off, in several pieces, on a boulder placed at the edge of my brother in laws garden that he had placed there to stop cars reversing over it. DOH! anyways two questions ; firstly, is it really needed on my 2.8 CRD? Secondly, does the tray normally come in three pieces? I am asking that as there is one available via ebay that comes as a three piece set. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHRYSLER-VOYAGER-MK3-III-01-07-2-5-2-8-UNDERTRAY-UNDER-ENGINE-COVER-3PCS-SET-NEW-/191071210802

Can't cast any light on it, but well done for getting things sorted. Things can be so annoyingly frustrating at times. -
