Nice one Mike - Not sure Mrs Nello would let me stretch to one of those but you never know. Be interested to see how you get on. Darkened wheels will look great! The Momo S wheels are darkened - they are actually the same wheels as the Bravo T-Jet with different centre caps to disguise the fact! I've got a sneaky trick for a cheap way of making some Lancia'ed centre caps if interested

Good work Mike! Suprised you were able to remove the Grille without taking the bumper off but fair play for getting there! I still prefer the earlier Grill with the vertical 'Shield' but looks great. Let me know how you get on / where you get the Airbag - I'm watching a few on ebay Italy too. Where are you getting the Sat Nav from? They a big money arn't they? I've had loads of comments like that as well including one chap I watched actually stop his car to park up and look around mine! Fiat really missed a trick!

Mikey the Black edition grille ones are known as The Delta S by Momodesign

SR spec is pretty decent Mikey if you cannot afford / wait around for a Limited spec. Has most of the toys though as per Rosso - I would've liked the Sat-Nav..... I also love the duo-tone painted Black roof which ours has. Makes them stand out from the crowd even more - appears exclusive etc. Duo paint also seems to change the effect of the shape of the car as well.

Check it well asap if its under warranty as new Headlight units are pricey....

Reccomend any companies Rosso?

OK some complete )(*&^%% decided to door ding my front passenger door yesterday whilst Mrs Nello was out and about. Does anyone know how to remove the door car so I can try to apply pressure from behind the ding in an attempt to smooth out? Why are there so many careless idiots around

Yes the Flavia is probably ended/ending now as well with the revamped 200....... Badge engineering is not unique to the Fiat group. Like everything these days - its all about cost! The original Thema was a shared Fiat/Alfa/Saab venture.............
-
And not mine! Met.Beige with Black roof'ed what looked like an SR on the Stoneleigh Road Coventry heading towards Warwick Uni this morning 0735 approx!
-
Bravo Production at the Cassino assembly plant ceased in July apparently Rosso........... but thats still being manufactured in Brazil. However Delta is ending shortly leaving only the Giulietta at Cassino as they are readying the new Giulia - the 159 replacement... Lancia are only going to concentrate on the Ypsilon for Benelux and the Chrysler'ed Lancias (300c-Thema / Chrysler 200-Flavia).......... I have to say in FIAT's defence though - they have done a good job improving the 300c/Thema.
-
Both the Delta and Bravo are still available on the Lancia and Fiat Italian websites as new in bella Italia............
-
Funnily enough we used to have a 159 Sportwagon - a Lusso - but a Ti was the other car on the list if we hadn't bought the Delta.......
-
I did want the Sat Nav Mike as well but couldn't wait...... They only sold about 60 or so Limited in total in the UK so you need to be patient. The Limited was 'replaced' for the final few months by the MOMO S version which also includes SatNav, colour-coded sill and front and rear edges - a blackened tailgate and darkened 17" Alloys which are actually the ones fitted to the Bravo T-Jet/150BHP Diesel. Very nice but again very few and they are the most expensive ones on the market as the final few UK cars...... If anyone needs advice on a Grille change - I'm yer man!
-
Mines on 17" wheels and TBH I was pleasantly suprised to see Goodyears about £175 a pair even at 225's! The rear light edges do collect water on the outside edges but the fronts should be sealed. New front light units are expensive so good idea to check/avoid. Ours is white but with the Matt black roof which looks great / unusual and I think makes it look expensive. We paid less than that at the start of the year so keep hunting!

Yes very low numbers around Mike and for those that are - they are a bit of a marmite car - love or loath the styling. The only other places on the web with interest are a thread on the Fiat Forum within the Bravo section (as mentioned they are mechanically the same). Theres also a Lancia Motor Club Facebook page and my car gained some interest there after I posted of few photos of it fully Lancia badged. The Lancia club do have a forum with a MK.3 Delta section in but you have to be a member to post and I think £50 is a bit excessive! There is one chap on the FB page who imported a LHD Delta pre the UK Chrysler cars and there is another LHD 'Lancia' one on Autotrader but I think my car is the only RHD in the country correctly badged as a Lancia. I've always liked to be a bit different hence the Italian car interest having had a load of Alfas' Fiats and Lancias.......... I think the 1.4 MultiAir puts out 140BHP - cruises all day on the Motorway. Alot more impressive than the 1.4 that was in our old Brava! Diesels get the most benefit from re-maps etc. The Deltas' Multijet is the stock Fiat unit so will be quite tuneable. Ours is the family workhorse so very happy with it - It needed to be OK for the wife after we sold her previous Sedici and she is happy enough (though its a much bigger car - But she has now seen the upcoming 500X!). The City steering works very well in the Delta - That system was pretty pointless in earlier Fiats as it hardly had any effect but makes a big difference. As mentioned its not a massive drivers car with little steering feedback but the standard mode steering feel is quite weightly probably due to the long wheelbase (stretched Bravo chassis). And you will get stopped and asked about it! Have never known what seemably is an everyday family motor cause so much attention - Fiat really missed a trick as its probably the Lancia badges but I'm always getting asked about it - including one chap who I observed stopping his car deliberately to get out and look around the car........

Hi Mike and welcome. Check out the other posts/threads and other areas like the Fiat Forum. I'm a Auto-Italia-phile as well and owned several old school Lancias amongst others. The Delta mechically is basically a Bravo so there is no real Chrysler experience to deal with other than the dealer themselves...... When we were looking for ours I found I knew more about them than they did! Mines a 1.4 MultiAir which I went for due to price/spec though I did prefer a petrol. I easily get 40MPG around town and 45+ on a run. Theres not many about so many on the market are ex Demo's /Fiat/Chrysler fleet. As such make sure you have dealer stamps - the usual kind of thing. In this day and age they are not like the Fiat group cars of old! Look at other posts on here - seems to be a few owners with corrosion on the Blackened door pillars and window trims - check those. Also lift the boot lid and check any missing paint where the rubber stops meet the bodywork have not caused any corrosion. The MultiAir is a decent unit - economy and performance. The Delta is not really a true drivers car as such. I find its fairly stiffly sprung and the ride does suffer a little as a result. The long wheelbase does also mean handling is not the most pin sharp but its the styling for me that forgives all else............... I've also fully rebadged mine correctly! Hope you find a good one.

Chrysler Paint Jobs - Was Rusty Door Pillars
Nello replied to Penguin2007's question in Chrysler Delta
Chris as per the Rusty Pillars thread that I posted this in : You sure they are not having you on? Look straight bolt-on to me? -
Hi Otter and welcome. Delta is still being manufacturered but Chrysler (Fiat/Lancia) have pulled them from the UK market to concentrate on Ypsilon and 300C. I sourced the Grille from ebay in Italy. You may need to haggle with the sellers and arrange postage as all the ones I found were Italy sales only.
-
Will keep my eye out Stuart but theres a grand total of 20 Deltas countrywide on AutoTrader at the moment!
-
Its not the dash itself - just the surround around the gearshift and heater panel. Nice to see you on here Rosso (Nello also on the Fiat Forum). Really like your Limited interior. Its only slight but its definately angled sightly towards LHD. Ian did you get your gearknob removed in the end? My stop-start has packed in as well though I have no errors. The handbook and web quote a multitude of conditions that stop it kicking in. From what I see any battery over a couple of years old will drop the voltage sufficiently to not enable the S/S. I'd bet a new battery would restart the system but the cars starts and runs perfectly well at the moment so I'll live without. Fiat dealers will probably not agree to service them although they certainly could as mechanically the car is a Bravo. I'm sure they've been asked not too here by Italy. I use an Italian specialist in Birmingham who sources all the parts from the Fiat stock anyway.......
-
Of course its legal - Its just a badge! The Police ANPR and DVLA system only goes off your reg. not what your badge is. Its only the same as any kit car / replica etc. My insurance were fine. You wouldn't get nicked if you put a Ferrari badge on a Mini .... only by the fashion-police! Some might argue its the Chrysler badge thats incorrectly added................................................(no offence Chrysler forumers!)

Hi Inja and welcome - Not happened to me but you sure its not the Apple USB cable thats at fault. I've been through at least two as they bend at the connector end and the kink stops the unit working...
-
So have you sold the Delta now mate?
-
So does it now say LANCIA when you get in?
-
Nice one Ian. If its any consolation our 1.4 MultiAir SR has been perfect. You tend to only see posts about the bad bits! I've only really ever run Italians. And all the family cruisers have been Fiats, Alfas' .....and now Lancia's. I used to have a Beta HPE and a Fulvia Coupe so a real Auto Italia enthusiast. The marque is under a real cloud at the moment under the Fiat umbrella. The Fiat-Lancia's has generally been maligned but I've always liked them the same - The Delta has obviously suffered here (apologies Chrysler Forumers!) under the labelling but I have found that the unique design touches and exclusivity have maintained the brand magic for me. Good to be able to discuss with fellow owners here. I've never bothered with the Lancia Motor Club - Always felt £50+ was a bit excessive especially when you get all the information you ever need on the web. There is a Lancia MC Facebook page which I have just joined and my car is receiving some attention there with the re-branding. Anyway let us know how you get on with the gearknob. I think the other big issue with the feel is that if you look at the the shift and the panel with the Heater/AC - those areas were never re-engineered for RHD. They are both turned towards the passenger (Driver in Italia!) seat for LHD - which probably does not aid the comfort for UK drivers. Cheers
