OK my fronts are in a rather poor state and now the Winters finally arrived I thought I'd better get some new rubber. Wanted to match the factory Goodyear F1 Asymetrics. I still have the factory tyres from new so am fairly happy they have lasted 3 years and 30k. I would not usually touch Kwik-Fit with a barge-pole and will certainly never take my car in to one of the outlets however they currently have free mobile fitting so you can get them done on your drive while you watch. Mobile fitters tend to be the most experienced and professional as they are seen to be more customer facing. So I have ordered a front pair to be fitted at home Wednesday - They also have a special on Goodyears' at the moment - £10 cashback with any W and Y speed rated tyres as long as you order at least a pair. So all in all I've paid £181 for mobile home fitting plus I get £20 back once they are done. Not a bad deal for premium rubber so If anyone else needs some...............

Nice indeed! Hadn't realised they removed the rear 3/4 trim badges on the Momo S
-
Ahh yes of course - I mentioned that myself somewhere else!?! It is late..............
-
Yes I saw that one as well Mike - It looked nice as it had the Pearl/Cream white which did not come in to the UK on the Chrysler badged cars.

Its a legal requirement Rosso. To sell the car here a manufacturer has to be type-approved and their product be registered accordingly to see the car as that new. Thats why we have daft changes like the etched windows etc. Once its registered to an owner they can do what they like then... What wheels do you have then paskey? All the OE wheels had at least the Chrysler wing but thats easily unclipped off the back of the centres.

Welcome to the club paskey I started a rebadging thread here : http://www.chryslerforum.co.uk/topic/32-delta-lancia-badging/ but anything specific you need to know - just ask us! p.s. Photos are a must here for converts
-
I knew you'd see sense Rosso! Looks terrific and much better! I know the lad (Stewart?) in the Lancia Club has the imported LHD Delta. So does that make 4 of us with correctly badged UK Deltas' now then? And they reckon Zonda's are rare here

Nice one mate - Emailed seller! Has anyone found any Headrests yet?
-
Do you mean the near side part of the undertray/engine under cover? I noticed that myself and have a Chrysler dealer checking if it should be on my car or not (though they've been supposedly checking for a week now with no news! Very decent price - are they for the 17" wheels?
-
Actually Rosso this was the original 'Guide' from my badging post: 1. Loosen the x6 T30 Torx screws along the top of the Chrysler grill - 4 on the grill itself and two either side on the bumper. 2. Under car and unscrew the x3 T30 bolts that secure the front bumper to the engine cover/undertray. You will also need to unscrew where it fits to the two splash guards each side of the undertray though I then discovered that one side of mine is missing! To be ordered........... 3. Inside both front arches - x4 T30 screws fixing the wheel arch to the front bumper assembly then the top T30 which screws into a white welded bolt at the front bumper edge to wheel arch. 4. The whole front bumper assembly should now be free - careful as its fairly weighty so make sure you have some covers out in case it slips forward - you don't want to scratch it. You will find that the area where the front bumper meets the wheel arches is push-fitted into and needs a guiding hand behind to dislodge. 5. Disconnect the two connectors from each front fog light. 6. Once done lift up slightly over the top of the font edge and the whole bumper assembly should be free. You now need to remove the Chrysler grill. They are secured by series of metal clips that push fit on to the plastic pegs that protrude from the grill. You WILL break the pegs when removing - slide a screwdriver behind and push out. You can then reform the clips to ensure they fit back over your new grill. Re-fitting it the reverse of the above. The most awkward part of the whole job was getting the bumper back in position. There is a foam formed piece that sits in front of the Rad behind the bumper. This is only secured by tape so make sure its sitting back in its correct position. Use the access hole for the towing hitch to make sure its in the correct way - only one hole on the one side so you know its in the right way around. I found it useful to sit under the front centre and lift the bumper back in - up and over then secure under the car. Screw back in the x6 Torx on the Grill top first to hold it in position then fix back up the rest. Make sure the bumper ends at the arches slot it correctly as its quite a tight fit but you will find once its in the right position the rest should line up ok. Behold - Forza Lancia!

Mike did well to remove the grille without taking the bumper off Rosso! They hold the grille on very tightly and its impossible not to break the lugs when you try to get them off! You will never remove them whilst in situ - I tried at first and lost alot of back of hand skin! Undo the main bolts from above the grille to loosen the grille top. The wheel arch ones are misleading - They are welded on - you actually have to 'turn' the screw from above the nut - not try to spanner off the nut itself. Theres a few more along the arch liner then you need to get under the car and remove the screws along the bottom of the bumper. They also hold on the engine splash covers as well. The bumper is fairly weightly so make sure you have some support underneath once you try to wriggle out. You will also need to disconnect the fog lights. Once all freed you have to prise off those clips but as I say the lugs will snap off. You can reshape the clips to re-use them when fixing your Lancia one back on. Its a bit fiddly getting the bumper then back on - make sure you note which way around the polystyrene block is that sits under the grille. You also nee to watch you don't scratch the wings - where the bumper mates to the front wings as its goes around the cars sides is a tight fit and you will need to persuade it to slot back in without doing any damage. Bit of a fiddle but once completed - stand back - look in pride and that 'proper' shield! - whilst drinking a quick beer from your garage fridge!

Sav Nav looks great Mike - bet you couldn't wait to open that parcel when it arrived! They look a good price for those centres......How much did he charge including shipping if I can ask? I bought some stick on logos from ebay and removed the Chrysler wings from mine....... Yes you can still see the wing edges but for 99p I'm not too worried! I'll post some photos and my sills when I finally remember!

One here Rosso - works out about £20 all in............ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/fregio-stemma-logo-posteriore-LANCIA-DELTA-2008-ORIGINALE-rear-sign-badge-/251110208843?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_101&hash=item3a7755b54b

Gents anyone mind sharing where and how much you can get the Lancia Airbags please? I've got my eye on Italian Ebay circa £100? I imagine any disconnection of the Airbag system will also trigger the Airbag dash light so add in a requirement to get that turned back off......
-
Not had chance to check yet Mike so still utilising the red emergency pull - Will update findings here of course!
-
I really like them mate in white! As you say each to their own http://www.autoedizione.nl//wp-content/gallery/delta-s1/delta-momo12.jpg?068533

TBH Mike I haven't bothered with the securing lugs. I know you're supposed to in case they slip under the pedals but the mats don't seem to move much.........
-
Its not unlocking Mike so must be something to do with the release sensor mechanism..........
-
Anyone else experienced this? Mine does not seem to want to open despite the doors all being unlocked. Supposed to lock/unlock off the same system. I have actually had to result to leaving the Red emergency cable exposed in the rear boot now to manually pull open?

My experience of battery failures is they tend to go all of a sudden with no warning overnight. As per the other guys comments - with Winter setting in as well that will probably exacerbate the problem. An average battery life for a car is five years but with one sitting idle for so long won't help either. My Stop/Start has 'stopped' kicking in now so suspect the battery is waining - The Stop-Start system is sensitive to battery output and use. I did disconnect the battery a while ago in an attempt to recharge but that started so many alerts/messages on the dash and I had to reset the door-locks/power windows to Auto-close etc. I left as is - I can live without Stop-Start until I really need a new battery!
-
Yep they sound like the 'Factory' mats to me...............I have them as well - They are ok with the logo but not especially luxurious (thick) are they. To quote wikipedia Mike "Mopar is the parts, service and customer care organization within Chrysler Group LLC. Mopar also designs and builds a small number of customized vehicles.[2] The name derives from a combination of letters from the words motor and parts." I really like the momo S Rosso but would prefer a lighter one to see the contrast with the bits 'blackened' to make the S version. Sorry I forgot my camera tonight - will post the promised sill photos tomorrow.
-
Mike - thinking about the Sat-Nav system. If you are getting it from that Italian supplier - I'd wager once plugged in it will already start-up with the Lancia splash-screen/logo. I'd doubt very much you would be able to reconfigure an Italian Delta to show a Chrysler logo. Pretty sure it would have been a UK only SW update to include.
-
Yes I saw those mate and also did not think they would fit. The custom stripes fix straight over the CHRYSLER working. The Illuminated sills were a OE option part but were a ridiculous £250+ from the dealer! They fit over the plastic black ribbed sill cover thats visible from inside the car with the door closed. Bit of a fiddle to fit as you need to take off the whole plastic cover to cut a recessed hole in for the light assembly to drop in to. The wiring then goes up the A post and connects in to the courtesy light fitting in the middle over your head. They are a Lancia branded part. Will look great once done though with the door open - Martini Striped LANCIA with an illuminated DELTA logo! I'm pretty sure the T-Jet Alloys are 18".... Nice plate! I've slightly changed mine to include some Lancia associated wording Again I'll post some shots Monday...... Great to see some fellow Delta 3 enthusiasts in the UK at last! I thought I was on my own!
-
Mikey to replace / hide the sills' I found a guy on ebay who makes Martini stripes. He custom made me some to mask the Chrysler wording complete with LANCIA logo. I'll post up a picture on Monday as I have got the entire plastic door sill cover off at the moment to fit the Delta Illuminated door sills .... Rosso - how much did you pay for the Airbag and where if you don't mind me asking?

Heres the Bravo T-Jet wheel: http://ipocars.com/imgs/a/e/z/n/z/fiat__bravo_1_4_t_jet_16v_2008_4_lgw.jpg and here the Delta Momo S: http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/fTt1-yrct5Q/0.jpg Its the exact same wheel so won't make a difference in terms of rack / lock. The rack spec is standard across the entire UK Delta range...... All they've done is created/borrowed a different centre cap as they couldn't be bothered/want the cost of making a Chryser one for UK cars using the same Fiat wheel...
