Anyone else seen those videos of owners modifying the Taligate struts so it Auto opens on release from the fob? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odV9m-oDalA&index=3&list=FL1TcbiXMEAJUcPogJhrjSZw All overseas owners but it seems you can get springs inserted into the strut to get this up and running? Anyone know what you need and how?

Hi Diego and welcome... Great to see a reall Lancisti here from Mama Italia! There is a new factory LH headlight here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chrysler-Delta-GENUINE-NEW-left-hand-headlight-51876358-/161365752828?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&fits=Car+Make%3AChrysler%7CModel%3ADelta&hash=item259225fbfc ..... but you would need the RH for the set! They are expensive items. If it helps that seller is not far from me so there is a chance I could collect for you? The Ad states he is open for Offers so perhaps make a cheeky bid! What brings you here to all this Cold, Grey and wet!

Any joy Stuart?

Great to see/hear paskey Not my time of the month yet Mike Anyway I've emailed the chap I got the Martini Stripes made up from guys and will let you know what he says..... Am I still the only one who has/prefers the original style grille then I'm also looking for a cheap Airbag gents so would appreciate a full how-to......... I'm just trying to get off the plastic passenger sill to cut the hole for the illuminated sill that side but the Italian "instruction's" don't mention anything about the bonnet release handle which appears to be in the way? Anyone know if the handle just pulls off?
-
Those Side rubbing strips were actually a dealer option believe it or not

Theres a full online copy of the handbook here: https://srs20assets.service-solutions.com/OEM/Chrysler/en-US/Product/2012Delta1stOMPDF/Flipbook/index.html Pull down the offside inner boot flap/panel and theres a red wire/pull to emergency release/open the flap until you get it sorted. Page 154 shows it............ I find it works best by simultaneously pulling with your left hand and whilst pulled flick open the filler lid with your right.

Good to hear Stuart - The Delta certainly is quite a big car for the class......... And just to confirm for someone else that asked me - "Official" Duo-tone cars are definately painted. I have the two (PPG?) paint code stickers under the bonnet......
-
Nice one Stuart - I'll let you do the digging! So you having to utilise the red emergency boot release as well then?

Delta 12 Plate: Rear Light Cluster Info....
Nello replied to Penguin2007's question in Chrysler Delta
Its actually started working OK since before the frosts started. It was just the bottom three LED's on the nearside light unit were flickering........ I've had my eye on a couple of units on Italian ebay just in case circa £150 all in but its been fine for a good few months now!.................................though the thoughts probably knackered it now! -
Delta 12 Plate: Rear Light Cluster Info....
Nello replied to Penguin2007's question in Chrysler Delta
Without wanting to tempt fate but in typical Italian fashion my rear light cluster is working perfectly once more for no apparent reason?................... -
Still not sorted this out yet but not really looked - Does anyone have the Service disc? Eper does not even show a relay to release the flap within the mechanism which I find strange?
-
I nearly bought a Prisma Symbol years ago Rosso........... TBH I was suprised they included something like that in an Italian. I always used to like the fact that Italians rarely had even seatbelt light on - such is the Home Market Italian driver!
-
Yes mate - one of the few things I'm not keen on with the car.................You can probably turn it off I suppose....
-
Looks like the Ypsilon in Warwick has been p/x'ed for the new Mini 5-dr Hatch as the private plate has been transferred........
-
I'll email the guy and find out what he can do Mike
-
True mate - I can get 45 MPG on the Holiday run to Devon! The Economy SHIFT can be a little annoying - wants you to shift to 6th whilst doing 30mph with a holding throttle - doing about 1800rpm. Very much engineered for economy but goes well on the motorway.....and without the Diesel noise! Apologies Oil-burner fans but despite its still fabulous looks I had to sell my old 159 SW Lusso after a year as I could not stand the sound the JTDM made................
-
Yes very good price Mike - Does not look quite as good in all white but great price nonetheless........ They are not doing themselves any favours with the Ad though. The MultiAir 1.4 is 140BHP - Its the 1.4 T-Jet thats 120BHP......
-
Hi Mike - they were £10.85 for the pair! I'm sure the guy would do more.......... He basically designed them around what I wanted - just stick over the Chrysler badge. You can hardly see it unless you are very close as the Chrysler wording is slightly raised. I'll dig out his details if anyones interested................. I think they particularly suit my car as its white.....
-
Looks Ace Mike - I'd love one in mine but don't think I can justify the cost to Mrs Nello....

Cannot reccomend the Goodyear F1's enough - Factory OE spec so should be good and they are. Noticeable difference in road noise and ride with some new rubber!

Hi Gents - Apologies - Have been away for the last month or so with work etc. Gotta pay for the cars somehow! Anyway better late than never - Heres a quick shot of the "Martini" Sill strips I had made up - Apols for the grubby car - Mrs Nello has been using it! You can also see the Illuminated Door Sills - Not plumbed them in yet - TBH bit of a pain to fit but they look quite smart - or will do once done! http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u241/yardelli/P1011472_zps95701d21.jpg Poor shot of grubby wheels but these are the (very) cheap modified Chrysler wheel centres - wings removed. Stick on Lancia badges that have stayed firm for several months now. I liked the Black/Chrome as it goes with my paint. http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u241/yardelli/P1011473_zps88b8cfb0.jpg Finally .............. Its been cold! http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u241/yardelli/P1011439_zps47c74958.jpg http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u241/yardelli/P1011440_zps35191506.jpg

Chaps - tyres fitted and the Kwik-Fit chap could not have been a more decent bloke. 20 years experience on Mobile only fitting. Was a little confused by the Lancia badge but I kept him up to date! Goodyears feel superb as expected - huge improvement in ride quality and noise - though my originals were shot!
-
I'll await both results and any possible 'detontation' before I attempt mine! Best o'luck - Oh and Happy New Year - LANCIA Delta mk.3 group meet in 2015?!! ;o)
-
I know what you mean Rosso but I thought mobile would be a better service as I'll be standing over him tomorrow with a spanner in hand on my drive! Will report back!

Fairly amused by the Handbook which suggest visiting a dealership if you want the car Jacking up! I guess thats what comes with having a can of gel as a 'spare'............
