I actually think they've done a decent job on the Thema. Looks to be alot more than a re-badge. They have seemably re-engineered alot of the car. Seeing as hardly anyone here would recognise the revamped 300c (I've not seen a single revamped one) I reckon one rebaged as the Thema would make quite a cool tourer here............. http://preview.netcarshow.com/Lancia-Thema-2012-hd.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/da/Interno_Lancia_Thema.JPG

Nothing I have ever noticed Stuart no?
-
Ouch - will need to watch for the right Airbag then Rosso. I'm not aware of any Ypsilon owners doing the Lancia conversion. I would if I had one! Wouldn't mind a 300c as a Thema! I got some replacement Flip fob shells Mikey - Only a few quid. Add a drop of superglue as one of mine was moving........ One black One white to match my car......... Interior looks by the way
-
Its just that horizontal line grille thing - Don't get me wrong I'd take it anyday with the Lancia badge - ironically in many ways it makes it look more Chrysler'ed to me http://www.parkers.co.uk/Images/PageFiles/75856/Vauxhall_Insignia_Hatch_031013(2).jpg

I'm a man of taste Mikey The badge is right on the later grille but for me it looks too much like the current Vauxhall one.........Though I like the blackened Momo finish on yours mate. The original Grille looks more like the Lancia's Shield of old.........I never considered the later one. I still think I'm the only one with a 'Lancia'ed RHD Mk.3 Delta with the original grille on. I like being different.

It'll probably be Paraflu Up........ Fiats own Coolant. Branded as Petronas. Available from your local friendly Fiat dealer. Same as the Bravo. The cars/engines are built/assembled alongside each other at Fiats Cassino plant...

Looks like you're right Rosso....http://www.lancia.myzen.co.uk/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=cf3dd475c8f21d563d170da6a6d15fa8&topic=6452.0

Adding this image purely for research purpose ( !) ..... This was the first one I saw........... The Lancia Motor Club were loaned it for the Nov.2009 Classic Car Show at the NEC. It must have still been when Fiat were contemplating bring the brand back here so may have been a 'taster' for them. It attracted alot of attention though there may be other reasons why!!!! As you can see it was registered here but IIRC it was a LHD. Not one person has said to me its ugly! Everyone I have spoken to about it thinks its really 'smart.'No-one knows what it is and the usual response is 'I didn't know Lancia were still going'................... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ef/%22_09_NEC_Classic_Car_show_2009_Lancia_Motor_Club_with_new_Delta_three_women.jpg/800px-%22_09_NEC_Classic_Car_show_2009_Lancia_Motor_Club_with_new_Delta_three_women.jpg

Flip me Mike you were right - Isn't the tailgate heavy! Tried to fit my springs tonight but was rushed for time and could not unscrew the ends without having a vice to hand........... Will pop around my Mums at the weekend.
-
Indeed Rosso - Confirms that those in the know get the right cars............. Alot of ignorance over the Delta purely because of the badge. You would never expect the amount of head-turns, questions and people stopping over my car from what is supposed to be a normal 'Compact' class car....... Perhaps we're helping to spread thew word

The trick with the red cord is its a two handed operation. Pull the cord with your left hand and whilst still pulling flip open the filler lid with your right. It holds open the release but only whilst being pulled. Just wiggle the flap hinge and push in to the bodywork - takes 5 seconds..............Mines still ok!
-
Good tip Rosso - not heard of that stuff before - just looked it up - but will bear in mind. Mine have been ok - Problem is my Coupe has a dealer option reverse sensor fitted from new but it was an early system utillsing a magnetised strip in the bumper - useless - I never adhere to it so tend not to trust any of them!
-
Rosso - see the ebay link I posted above to Mikey - perfect fit and yes they are the current Lancia badge design so ideal. They've been on for the weekend now - a little movement if you try to lift the edges so I may add some superglue but look spot on!
-
Indeed I'm sure you cannot go off a Chrysler part number but wondered about an 'eper'ed' LHD one for a relative Lancia Delta'd part..........Don't see any reason why not TBH - you could be an Italian living/holidaying in the UK for example.......
-
The black finish does look good Mike even though it doesn't fit. Out of interest where did you order from? I've wondered if I quote an eper part number for the Delta to a UK Fiat main dealer - if they will/can order for you? Grays in Warwick is my local dealer - I'll enquire next time I'm passing and let you all know....

Stuart I had a quick look at mine yesterday after 'reading' a comment or two on the Delta Italian FB page. The guy there was bonding a small circle of tubing to the flap so that where it meets the release switch - the area is more 'pronounced.' This led me to believe that there must be an issue with the flap loosening and coming away from the bodywork ever so slightly - meaning its not near enough to be released when you try to open. I manoeuvred mine slightly and applied pressure to the hinge and the flap opens and closes ok - for now at least! I'm sure I may need to investigate how the flap is secured within the bodywork but its done the trick for the moment...

Thought you might be interested Mike! Yes - these : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-Adesivo-Resinato-Sticker-3D-LOGO-LANCIA-PER-CHIAVE-1-5-cm-/311291145085?pt=Ricambi_e_Accessori_Moto&hash=item487a65eb7d I offered him 8 Euro for two (about £6) and he sent them in about 4 days Perfect fit over the Key 'push'. 3D Domed effect and seem to stick very well. Look factory TBH. If they do move I'll just add superglue! Is that an Italian Tax Disc holder? Not sure about the badges - I also bought that Delta logo script that was going cheap and have added to the dash to 'mirror' the script sewn in to the Limited's Leather dash. Will post a photo soon....

OK The wife is now thinking I have a bit of a problem.................. arrived today: http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u241/yardelli/P1011473_zpsc6a00b31.jpg

I have access to v.83 - they don't show on there. Only differing versions for trim levels. I'm sure Chrysler these days utilise an eper derived/linked system though. http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u241/yardelli/emaps_zps5763ad65.jpg
-
Yes they all are Rosso - as per Mike - theres is a very slight variance............
-
I did mention some time ago on one of the threads that that theres a slight variation in some sections of the dash between LHD and RHD. I think it was when we were going on about the gear-knob. Viewed centrally the console/gearstick and the heater controls panel angle slightly left - seems it did not pay to convert everything. Mind you that Dremel will come in handy cutting your holes for your illuminated sills!
-
It was pitch black when I took that - they are brushed Aluminium - same as the ones in the ebay Ad
-
Definately worth a punt Mike - As mentioned they are not especially easy to fit as you need to cut a hole in the plastic valance. I was going to fit my passenger one the other day until I realised the Instructions don't mention the Bonnet release handle being in the way so unless you can unclip that somehow will need to cut in situ.......... I did test the light - DELTA logo illuminates nice and white with the courtesy lighting system. Its a bit of a fiddle getting the wiring up the A frame and then to wire it in to the cabling in the centre console but I'm sure will be worth it. The hole required to cut is approximately the size of the LANCIA wording as the lighting circuit sits proud underneath the brushed plate. Goodness knows how they justify charging that much for them new though! The drivers one is fitted - shown on the Martini sill shot: I removed the whole plastic sill from the car to cut it. http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u241/yardelli/P1011472_zps95701d21.jpg

Thanks Mike - will check as mine has as well......
