I'd stick with the 9F8's - as per Rosso sounds like just an update but you never know. What year is your car? I've just bought some 9F8's off an ebay seller for £38 for 4 all in....
-
Yes I put those Goodyears on Rosso Much quieter

Genuine OE Pollen Filters going here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221705670595?_trksid=p2060353.m2763.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT - got mine for £8 all in - these things need changing regularly.
-
The sills are crazy money from the dealers Rosso agreed though its the same for all varieties across the Fiat range for them for some reason
-
Mines on 35k now - 1.4 MultiAir Petrol. The Discs were the factory ones - I'll be changing the rears later this year as well. My front boots replaced in the New Year were the first tyres the car has had as well so not done too bad TBH
-
Mine passed last Friday - needed new front discs and pads which have been done and an advisory that the back box is showing signs of corrosion. Mate of mine owns Motor Mech in Birmingham who I can reccomend to anyone. Italian car specialist who made his name in cheaper cambelt changes on Fiat Coupes (they were £1K from a dealer!) Right next to the Bull Ring though be warned anything you spend on your car your Mrs will seek revenge in Selfridges next door!

They are always popping up on ebay Stuart - Let me know if you want any tips for the sills Rosso - look great once done
-
Good work Gents - I had my eye on those as well but as you say not sure I would ever use things like the net - My boot looks like a sale in Sports Direct currently.......................... The sills look terrific Rosso when done. I used a drill and coping saw to cut the holes out. Theres also not much room in the loom for the electrical connectors be be joined in the roof - the connectors themselves don't 'bite' much in to the wiring so I ended up splicing open the wire plastic to assist getting a connection. And my temp gauges are exactly the same Mike - Dash is usually always 0.5 of a degree higher than the temp on the A/C panel. Not sure why they needed two - I would have preferred a centrally viewable clock.

I agree its not the most comfortable Gearknob to grasp but as Rosso mentions its probably they way its held. I find wrapping the palm around the nearside with your thumb over the top best. I like originality in things like this though so will stick with mine. Don't think a knob would be a shared part between companies - just whatever makes its unique to the car - I'm sure they are more or less a standard fitment though but I suppose you need to bear in mind the lift-up to reverse mech. Early 1500 X1/9's had what was referred to as a 'Paddle' for a gearknob which was universally unliked but as per the Deltas it was beacause of the way it was held that made it uncomfy.... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ae/FiatX19Interior.jpg

Gents - I'm sure this will be the case but am I right in thinking I can get Service parts for my 1.4 Multiair - Ones sold for the Fiat Bravo will be the same part? Appears for some reason Filters etc. always seem to be double the price when sold for a Chrysler but its the identical part.

Delta 12 Plate: Rear Light Cluster Info....
Nello replied to Penguin2007's question in Chrysler Delta
Contacted an Italian ebay seller about a light unit and he mailed me back saying his part is not suitable for RHD? Can understand the front light units are different but not the rears surely? -
As the boot closes the strut compresses the spring - the rubber stopper just stops the end of the spring against itself once compressed and stops the spring moving away from the end. The spring is actually fully compressed when the boots shut so I can imagine theres quite a bit of pressure against the boot lock whilst closed......A cheap solution to echo those Range Rovers / Audi's but I think they have electronic motors to do this................As we mentioned the tailgate is suprisingly heavy without the struts attached. Whilst fitting - when I only had one done - the pressure on one side actually forces the tailgate to the side preventing it locking which shows how much force these apply..... Hey-ho

I saw them as well Mike! Seriously the Sills are great - You know you want a pair Mike!!!

Just think of the exclusivity

Delta 12 Plate: Rear Light Cluster Info....
Nello replied to Penguin2007's question in Chrysler Delta
Middle 3 LED's in the centre of the right hand strip on the nearside still sometimes on / sometimes off. Am going to see if I can prise the unit apart but I really think I'm going to have to source a new unit. If anyone sees a dealer clearout or breaking Chrysler - let me know..... -
Finally got around to wiring in my illuminated Sills. I'll post a photo at night at the weekend but IMO they look terrific! As mentioned previously they are a bit of a pain to fit but look great at night now. Utilises the power off the Courtesy light feed in the centre of the roof - as such they dim in and out like the light does. Defo worth sourcing a bargain priced dealer clearout kit off ebay if you ask me..........
-
OK - Fitted mine the other day. Yes it works well in Auto-opening the boot but what they don't tell you (and what I should have realised), is that in return it makes closing the boot harder. Once 3/4 of the way down to the point where the springs are being compressed its needs a weighty hand to force the boot back down again with these fitted. I tried it a few times - decided I didn't like it and have removed mine now. Only a few quid so was worth a try I suppose but as a non factory item I should've guessed really...... If anyone wants them to try let me know and I'll pop them in the post...........
-
You were bang on Mike - exactly the same - Hose 'joiner' had pulled itself apart right by the battery. Cable tied together now. One for the 'common Delta Issues'..................
-
Thanks mate - Yes I've digested all the S amendments. Moved now (though still near) but I used to live just up the road from the Prodrive track at Hatton where they developed the S. Just think they look stunning with those 19" wheels - would have to be an S for me - I read the later 1750 Brera is the one to go for but they are another £4-5k. They won't go like my Coupe but I fancy a nice comfy GT cruiser...... As mentioned I did have a 159 but could not put up with the Oil burner noise (1.9 JTDm) Never liked Sun-roofs/glass panels so not bothered about that. I can imagine the 3.2 is £500 a year tax though - Chris Harris road tested the S when it came out and reckoned the 2.2 was the better car - too much weight over the front axle he reckoned despite lightening but I suppose I need to test drive........ I did want a Red one but saw a Black S in Kenilworth last month and it looked superb..............Pity about the GM engines though. I think a good engine noise is part of the driving experience. My Coupe 5-pot with a scorpion exhaust sounds

Hmm mystery - Mike can you actually see the nozzle from within the spolier? I can see the 'hole' where its supposed to be in the centre of the 3rd brake 'strip.' Even with a torch I cannot see it. Wondering if its fallen inside the rear hatch somehow..........
-
Yes mine was a Fiat car too from new but the Discs look like they have an edge to them too now so I think I'll change them all............ Only about £35-£40 a pair for the fronts..... I'm on 35k now.
-
BTW Mike did you mention you had a Brera in the past? I'm thinking of changing my Coupe and have a yearning for a Brera S? Any buying advice appreciated........
-
Anyone done their Discs/Pads yet? Mine still have the OE factory ones but I've booked my car in for its MoT in a couple of weeks and I think they will need replacing for the first time. Pretty sure they are just the same as the Bravo's........... Anyone know which nuts to remove etc? Had to have the cambelt done on my Coupe and the X1/9 is ready to go back on the road so I've already spent enough at my mates garage!
-
Yes I know the phones somewhat embarassing - problem is I already have to pay for the wifes and the eldest sons! His ipad camera has a resolution way better than my old Digi camera. I picked up a single door ding on the passenger side thanks to some idiot - Been quoted about £70+vat to remove but I may try to take the door panel off and see if I can apply pressure from within to remove.............

Theres a white Ypsilon thats a company car plastered with Business logos for a Printing shop in Coventry - spotted on the Kenilworth Road. A Duo-paint Red and Black Ypsilon parked on Earlsdon Street and I parked my Delta in Sainsburys Canley to return to a Black LHD Belgian registered LANCIA Ypsilon!
