Stanford is June 28th

No leaks on mine thank goodness......... They can be really infuriating tracking down where the leak is
-
I used it Stilos - saw that as I'm on the Fiat Forum as well - Thanks
-
Please mate though I have done them already but would be useful for future owners needs.........
-
Sorry gents I'm working that weekend - Will have to be Stanford for me.....
-
Sounds perfect then Mike - thanks for the heads-up - I'll order a set.......
-
The type approval markings are etched on so nothing will shift them mate. Mrs Nello has the Delta today - Is it on the windscreen?
-
Just to add to this - Paul at Motor-Mech in Birmingham can definately do this - its the same SW as the Bravo. He did mine at the MoT.......
-
Thanks Alan - just joined that - I only used the Motor Club FB page as I thought £50 a year membership was a bit steep to join the club - would rather spend it on the car. I think Dogs are allowed but I'll try to confirm.
-
Glad us blokes are all the same! I've had plenty of people stopping / noticing the car. We go down to Dartmouth every year for a family gathering away and I watched one chap stop across the road from my Delta purely to get out and have a look around it. Turned out he was a Beta owner and we had a good 30 min chat Let us know how you get on with those stickers - I'm going for a few - think you'd need about 7 for one car - maybe ask him for a group deal?
-
No its a private Estate - you can actually stay overnight in the House buts its very expensive. I think its £13 per adult / £3 per child on the gate

I think the only thing you can do with the glass is either scratch out the Chrysler wording - hardly anyone knows what the 'Wing' is anyway - Someone I know thought it was an Aston Martin badge! I have seen these : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281188265531?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Frosted sticker thought I'm not sure how well it would cover the Chrysler badge - probably not that well. I'm getting some for the rear metal plates that came with the Illuminated sills Rosso. What about the Engine cover? I've seen a few Fiat/Alfa MultiAir Engine covers - I'll probably stick one on just to remove you know what......
-
In that case I'll take the Delta Mike. As mentioned I was going anyway but usually in the Coupe/X1/9. Always a good day out - speak nearer the time..... Anyone with links to the Lancia Motor Club? Let them know? I'll can mention on their FB page - If Stuart with the LHD Delta attends we would have the entire known UK Delta Series 3 club there!
-
Good to see another new Delta this morning - White with black roof - heading southbound on the A46 going from Coventry and turned off at the Leamington/Kenilworth exit. I think it was a Limited as it had the twin tail-pipe but looked like it had SR 17" Alloys to me............

They actually look pretty good Mikey - nice one
-
I know what you mean mate but I don't give two-hoots about what someone else thinks about my cars........ The Chrysler one sat with the Motor Club last year. If they have a moan I'd get out my old Fulvia photos I was a little bothered about the renaming of the event before last years show - so much so I even contacted Phil Ward but he reassured me its still AI biased and TBH there was not much else outside of 'Mama-Italia' at the 2014 event anyway! We think the location is superb and a great day out for all with the house and grounds - The Abarth stunt plane usually turns up - If Mrs Nello likes it enough to go it can't be too bad!
-
Nice one Alan - saw the Beta on FB Loved my old HPE
-
Any of you chaps planning on going to the Auto Italia Summertime Classics event in June? http://www.auto-italia.co.uk/events.asp Its the one event I always go to as its not far from me and Mrs Nello loves the place. Stanford Hall is a lovely setting with nice grounds for a picnic etc. near Lutterworth by the M1/M6 junction. I usually go in either my Coupe or X1/9 but there was a Chrysler badged Delta SR there last year with the Lancia Motor Club boys so would be interested to see the reaction to a couple of properly badged Deltas'........
-
Got the sills fitted yet Rosso? Very quiet here lately.............
-
TBH I actually quite enjoyed doing them .............. Probably because at least on new'ish cars nothing breaks and/or seizes! Spent too many long cold nights on the drive swearing at old Italians!
-
Just checked the Delta FB page Mike - the chap who posted that has this on his profile : Left Job at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles - so obviously knew a thing or two about the cars!
-
I saw that Mike - Not aware it was an official option but I'd like to know how he got it on the dash display
-
I've emailed Shop4Parts to confirm mike - will let you know here......

Anyone know the Fiat part number for the 1.4 MultiAir NGK IKR9F8 spark plugs? Are https://www.shop4parts.co.uk/?name=store&op=Details&ProdID=3818&sku=185494 these the same?

Changed both the Pollen and Air Filters today. Pain in the butt both jobs TBH. The Pollen filter is extracted by removing the panel that blows heater air in to the drivers footwell. You then slide off the side plate to the rear of the heater and allegedly slide the old one out. What they don't tell you is the Steering column and pedals are completely in the way. There is no possible way of removing and adding the replacement Pollen Filter without bending and twisting it in to position. I ended up cable-tying the clutch pedal to the floor to help make a small amount of room. The Air Filter is no easier - You need to jack up the car (yes really) and unscrew the splash panel from under the offside. You can then access two of the three screws that hold the bottom of the filter housing but to get to the third you need to unscrew the front offside wheel arch liner - ideally remove the wheel also but I got away with just making a full right hand lock on the wheel - then slide your hand and spanner in to remove the third. The bottom of the filter box then comes off and you can replace. You will scrape the back of you hands on the wheel arch though. Not enjoyable either job.
