MITCAR is at Ragley Hall this year so I'll definately be at that - though not until August.............. If anyone's ever in the Midlands let me know. I think between us we are Coventry / Manchester and Grimsby (me , Mike and Alan anyway) so looking at a map around Nottingham would be about equi-distant for us all? I'll see what other meets are on this year and let you know.
-
As the Deltisti seem to be online a little more going in to 2017 - anyone any plans for a meet this year.........................
-
I have Eibachs on my Coupe - look terrific and give it the stance it should've had from the factory. Wouldn't mind seeing a pic or two of a lowered Delta Flav?
-
I know what you mean - tis' a bit loud but reassuring at least that you know you've locked it! I think we drove our neighbours nuts as until recently our next doors had a Tipo 939 Spider with the exact same locking system and noise!
-
Do the Dutch not like it noisey then Mike?
-
Yes I was going to go for them as I really like those wheels but the cost of buying / refurbing then a full set of 18" rubber put me off...............
-
Was that the Limited 18"'s that were on ebay Alan? I had my eye on those!
-
Yes - you cannot beat real-life owner experiences with cars.............
-
Pretty sure Alan got a full size wheel Mike. I've thought about a Bravo one as I think they are the same hubs etc.
-
Welcome Luke. Always good to hear from a new owner........... Like Mike I'm not familiar with Auto's especially on the Delta. They are even rarer here in that form. I can't recall seeing that warning light before? Whereabouts is it? The Cooling fan will come on with the AC yes but not normally alot at this time of year? How is your engine temperature looking and do you have normal heat from your heater ok? Symptoms like that could point to a failing thermostat from my experiences in the past....................
-
Thanks Alan - Will check that - wondered why I couldn't find the option.................
-
Might be right matey - seems to be working ok again now............. Guessing the ECU takes its time to rescan CANBUS connected systems?
-
Nice one mate. The Delta is just too good a car and too different on the street to change for anything else still currently. I'm still getting asked about it a few years on..................... There are better cars to drive but very little better as a family runaround in the different design/style stakes for the money........ Mines currently on 54k and hasn't really missed a beat. Tyres - service items (brakes) and thats it. I have a new Bravo T-Jet exhaust (same system) sat in my garage as my original unit developed a couple of holes but some gum-gunk filled them perfectly and its still going but will probably be all changed this year. Perfectly happy with 50k+ for an exhaust!

Hmm - When I changed my headlight bulb I had to disconnect the Stop/Start lead off the battery which my car has as standard. Doing this effectively disconnects the whole battery........... Looking at the handbook on page 13 it mentions the Seat belt Reminder system and that it can only be switched off by the main dealer (presumably by the scan software)........ However it does state it can re-enabled by the Set-up menu (where you change the clock etc.) Its listed as an option to change in that menu in the book however its not showing when I scroll though on my car? I guess I'm going to have to get my mate to hook it up to the system when its next in for its MoT. I know not all options discussed in these user manuals are always available for all markets..........

New Year - new slight issue noted................ I've spotted (not that it really bothers me TBH!) that my drivers light seat belt warning light - and as such the then annoying beep before you've clunk-clicked has stopped coming on ignition? When theres a passenger in the front seat the light works but not when theres just a drivers backside solo in the car? In classic Italian style its come on as normal a couple of times but most of the times its not coming on now......... I presume it'll be a seat sensor under the seat somewhere? Anyone else had this?
-
To be honest Mike I cut my hands more trying to prise behind the back of the wheel arch liner looking for that damn screwdriver! Its still p ssing me 'orf now and its a few days later!! The tension on that Bulb holding clip is ridiculous Alan......................
-
The Coupe is still here mate but is up for sale now. I've had a couple of biters but need to sort a slightly leaking heater Matrix first before I seriously start to move it on. I'm going to run the Delta as my daily instead and the 500X for Mrs Nello. My lads are just getting too big now (eldest just at 6ft!) to run the Coupe especially as I'm now doing most of the school runs so we both need x4 door cars............... My mate who owns Motor-Mech has the belt and Water Pump at about £180 for the Bravo so about the same done to the Delta (Mates-Rates!) - so not bad at all.......................
-
Same to you mate - I'll be asking my mate mechanic when the MoT's due in April about the belt............. Will report back! We're holding on to ours now as the wife wants a 500X so I'll get to use it more!
-
Don't forget the emergency red boot release Ryan!
-
Try messaging Flav schteveo - click on his name. Sorry not had to do mine but let us know how you get on for the record.......... Best o'luck!
-
Just to update this - I'm sure bairn will have changed his by now(!) however ironically my nearside passenger bulb just went so I've just done mine. For the record they are H7 55W bulbs to replace. A bit of a bugger to change the nearside as the battery and washer bottle are somewhat in the way. You can remove the water bottle 'spout' to assist as its simply pulls off the main bottle body. A word of warning however to all future bulb-changers. Theres a small cavity inside the nearside front wing over the arch - right where you'd balance your tools and I managed to lose a screwdriver down the side just where you cannot get an arm down to retrieve! I attempted to remove the inside wheel arch to go up inside but the tool (small 5" screwdriver) has disappeared somewhere in to the inner body ether! Simple bulb change took me a couple of hours - multiple swear words and x2 skinned backs of hands and I still haven't found it! I'm hoping its so well buried it won't move until my next MoT when my mate can get it on its ramps but be warned not to lose anything down that panel gap! Its a £$%^&*(*!!!

Yes Andrew - we had an old Brava and that went through a few shocks in its time. They were under some serious tension as well IIRC! Must be something to do with FCA Hatchbacks!
-
Indeed Andrew - and welcome BTW! Good to see another new poster and Deltisti! I'd agreee with that with any engine TBH. I change my Oil every 12 months regardless of mileage.

Does the MultiAir actually have a Fuel Filter?
-
Yes it does lock/unlock with the central locking however the hinge becomes 'disjointed' easily as its just a flexible plastic flap. Move the hinge and it'll 'reseat' as such to get it working again.
