I'm claiming starting this thread and the first badge conversion! My Delta makes yearly trips down to Dartmouth Otter. You're not the chap a couple of years ago from Kingswear who parked his Volvo over the road and got out just to look at my car are you?! Had a long chat.....................
-
Good work on the Airbag Alcantara. Check my Lancia Martini stripes for the sills earlier in the thread (I think!) as an alternative. Great bonus with the windscreen! I don't think FCA had a choice in putting in the Chrysler badging. UK Type approval means the 'makers' branding is displayed on the glass etc. I've used http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ADESIVI-specchietti-per-Lancia-DELTA-New-Pvc-Frost-Smerigliato-Stickers-Auto-/201437768159?hash=item2ee6a069df:g:GVQAAOSwHjNV-etk those to try to hide mine! The earlier - what they call 'Waterfall' grill which I have is Part No.735478276 http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u241/yardelli/Delta1_zpsanbfbnlg.jpg

My AC needs a regas but its not been done since I bought it so probably due anyway. And yes my car does that Mike - too little revs and the AC stops momentarily.........
-
It must be hidden in Examiner somewhere Alan. I'll get my mate to look when I am in in a couple of weeks time for my Turbo Diagnosis!
-
ebay DeltaDrew. Look at European sales as well as most are based in Italy/Germany. Some sellers don't ship out of country but you will find one eventually. I'll keep my eye out for you. Which Grill do you want- earlier or later type? If you are not limited by price you may be able to order direct from a Fiat/Alfa dealer with the correct eper parts number (I can get you those as well). Just had a quick scan - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CALANDRE-GRILLE-AVANT-LANCIA-DELTA-2011-AL-CHROME-/142385984111?hash=item2126ddb26f:g:Kj8AAOSw7GRZHInT

Yes I think thats the better option mate - Its just it would mean my mechanic would need to remove / send-off and wait until returned to be fitted so car would need to be there for a week or so...... You recommend Universal Turbos then mate? I've just emailed them mate anyway..............
-
Yes I've been after one Scoobs - some numpty breaker put one on ebay not long ago but instead of completely removing the wiring harness he just chopped the cables right at the back! I suspect similar Bravo units would fit but I'm not that electrically-able to fit myself...................

Mikey - or anyone - My eper Part number for my Turbo is 71724563 - or 564 as the OE replacement. This turbo was also used in the Mito, Punto Evo and Bravo. I've seen a few other part numbers quoted for these other models but not entirely sure if they are the same units. Anyone know? The problem is if you look for that as a replacement part on ebay you only get a Couple in Germany as these are the Lancia parts numbers and not Chrysler.

Yeah Mike and I are right boy-racers
-
Looks good Alcantara Even rarer in Silver. Once you start you can't stop..... The Airbag is definately worth it - like Mike says its in your face all the time so you need to! The Chrysler logo on the dash is damn annoying. I'll get my Mech to have a look on Examiner next time its in. The headrest don't bother me too much as without the Chrysler wording no-one knows what that wing is anyway. ..... but I still lookout for a set!
-
Yep I'm on the Goodyear efficient grips - I think they were the original fit.
-
Sorry guys - bl**dy working!
-
Hi Mike - as per my other thread when my MA unit failed - my Turbo is making a 'ticking' noise under load - although drives fine and burns no oil I think I may need a replacement unit at some point. Looks like a rebuild might be a better option though. Did you remove yours yourself and a rough idea of the complete cost if you don't mind?
-
Nice one mate - good to hear. They are getting scarce now. Photos are always good
-
I would imagine the Bravo springs are rated differently due to different weight and suspension setups. Although the cars share the base chassis its stretched on the Delta and as such the Delta is a heavier car which obviously has a bearing on spring ratings.
-
Thanks Jos - the Turbo seems to be holding out for now. Theres a slight 'ticking' from it when cold but car runs perfectly for now............ fingers crossed!
-
Whats wrong with the 1.2?
-
Guess what - just seen an Ypsilon and the wifes like them!
-
Hi all - We've had our Delta for some time now and I'm seriously contemplating an Ypsilon for my wife. Would appreciate any comments on things to look for / reccomendations / points to check etc. from current owners.... And yes if anyone knows me from the Delta section - it will get Lancia Badging!
-
Those Mk.3 Ti's if thats what they are known as certainly seem to hold a premium Mike. Still look good to me
-
And me - Loved our old 159 SW Lusso apart from the Oil-burner engine. Nice spec. I really like the last Ti cars with the modified seats and blackened dash. We'll forgive you for a Compass - I did say I liked the Thema/300c!
-
Longtitude and Limited are Jeep Renegades Mike. The 500X comes in either City form (posher interior without the bumpers) or Cross (off road look etc.) The Cross Plus and City Lounge are virtually the top specs in either form as they include the built-in Sat Nav. Theres only the Cross Plus 4x4 that is a higher spec as that does indeed had a full 4-wheel drive system fitted (all other are 2-wheel drive unlike the old Sedici.) You are right about the twinair but I keep seeing MultiAir 2 in other FCA products....
-
You know I've just had to Google them now mate
-
So MA Actuator replaced and Engine Check now gone. Drives fine now although the Turbo does make a noise when cold - sounds a bit like a rattling manifold. Not using any oil though and no smoke so will carry on until we see more of an issue. If anyone sees a decent 1.4 MA Turbo going - let me know! The MA Actuator has been modified apparently - so my local dealer tell me as there were issues with the early batch - something to do with liners coming loose - mine was on No.3. They did say they'd not seen anyone with an upgraded Actuator (my new one is the current part) have it fail again (although a search on Alfa Owner shows a Giulietta owner who has!) - and they've not seen any issues with the 500X MA so fingers crossed. Does anyone know the difference between the MA engine and the MultiAir 2 which I keep seeing or is that just the 2-cylinder?
-
As mentioned we considered moving ours on with our MA issue however I knew I'd only have to go out and find another 4-door and as theres not much else thats so different for the price - plus I think we bought our Delta for a bargain price we figured may as well just go and sort it for me to use and carry on as is........ I'd have another 159 but would have to be a Ti next time and we did look at a Renegade for Mrs Nello as its the same car as the 500X but the Fiats alot better looking IMO... Just put a new set of Goodyears on the front too - never changed the rears though like the Coupe they seem to just wear on the front and have started to crack with age on the rear so will replace them too at some point.
