  1. Yes they are OK but very typical in the mould of the Bravo/Stilo genre..... i.e. Fiat appear to have found what they believe is a niche by making their C-segment cars fairly cheap and basic as a selling point to rival the others. I thought it drove completely fine but hardly exciting and a bit bland which was very much like its predecessors (although we did have an Abarth'ised 1.8 3-door Stilo which was nice!) The one we had was basic as a courtesy car so not even Nav. I would definately not pay for one for new but might be a decent runaround for someone once depreciation has hit - which it will rapidly. They are built in Turkey.
  2. Incidentally - Mrs Nello's 500X was in the main Fiat dealer last week for a warranty repair. We were given a new Tipo for the day. Geek spot of the day award goes to me as I noticed they use the same side indicator lights as the Delta. We should probably start a shared/common parts thread..............
  3. Well done Luigi! We had an idling issue years ago on our old Stilo that x2 main dealers could not fix. I'm still chuffed to this day that I managed to sort it with the aid of a Fiat Forum How-to.
  4. Crack on Alan! They are a bit of an effort to do but still look good. Way overpriced new from the dealers though.
  5. Deltisti - set of Illuminated sill up on ebay currently - a bit pricey still but.......... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-CHRYSLER-DELTA-FRONT-DOORSILL-MOULDING-ILLUMINATED-50902290/142689953525?epid=1336958312&hash=item2138fbe6f5:g:uUUAAOSw07VahB-8
  6. Use Paul Gilbert at http://www.motor-mech.co.uk/index.asp - Italian Specialist but can look at anything on any marque. Looks after all my cars including our Delta. Right by the Bullring in central Brum.
  7. Funny you should mention wipers. When I first bought my Delta I was determined to keep it all service parts-wise OE. I forked out £30+ for a set of Bosch blades. I was never that impressed with their performance TBH so a couple of years down the line I've just bought these - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chrysler-Delta-Hatch-ACP-Exact-Specific-Fit-Front-Rear-Wiper-Blades/292181828568?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 Yes OK they might not be the longest lasting but for less than £11 for all three wipers including postage - they fit pefectly - I changed all in about a minute and so far they are perfectly silent like when the car was new with a great sweep and vision. For that price it wouldn't bother me if they only lasted 18 months....
  8. eper shows the release Mech is shared with the Alfa Giulietta so I might look to swap and see if that makes a difference..... Will report findings! Theres a Alfa Workshop 'How-to' to remove here - http://www.alfaworkshop.co.uk/Alfa_Giulietta_petrol_flap_release_solenoid_pivot_pin_replacement.shtml Sure looks the same..........
  9. I think I've commented on other threads Andrew I think the heater is a bit poor. I was spoilt by my old Coupe which had a heater like a hairdryer in minutes but its the direction and power of heat that I do not like. I never seem to be able to get the correct direction from the vents - I know the centre vents are fairly high but I like them to direct heat on to my hands this time of year which it never really does very well. Its either not there or aiming at my face. The output is a bit naff as well - not especially strong. Yes I have changed the pollen filter so not sure what else you could actually do to improve. I know Mikey had some issues with the flap which directs Air in to the footwells but mine appears to be working still ok though without much effect.................
  10. I'm certain mine used to but as you say Mike it seems it doesn't sit entirely flush with the bodywork? Maybe I've 'unhinged' it somewhat? Definately an item that suffered from a lack of R&D!
  11. Agreed Alan - many a B - C segment Fiat model over the last 20 years or so have suffered from the same issue. Our old Brava and Stilo were the safe with a stiff setup.
  12. Dorian - there is a user on here 'Dido' who has fitted Eibach lowered springs - see this thread http://www.chryslerforum.co.uk/topic/1264-front-drivers-side-spring/ He will not have had Active Suspension though so not sure what the effect would be with the lowered spring.
  13. Just as an addendum to this - my filler flap has not played up since with regard to opening however I noticed yesterday that I can now open it regardless as whether the car is locked or not? Am I going mad or is this normally not possible? It should lock with the door locks shouldn't it?
  14. Welcome Dorian - I did not even realise Active Suspension was an option on the Delta?
  15. Well done DeltaDrew - and welcome - whereabouts are you based? Looks much better
  16. Yes Mikey - i thought so too but just an idea.........
  17. What do we think? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Headrest-Covers-for-Any-Model-LANCIA-Car-Seat-Head-Rest-Cover-pair-Set-x-2/322925150643?hash=item4b2fd6c1b3:g:qW8AAOSw8b1aJ5WP
  18. To be fair - it wasn't like me to be so thorough at the time!
  19. Best of luck changing Andrew. The eper lighting diagram is just an 'explosive' of parts so no real assistance with fitting. You may need to remove the front bumper in which case use my method on the Lancia Badging thread as I did that (instead of that bodgit-merchant Mikey who yanked his Grill off! ) Let us know how you get on.
  20. Garages usually recommend changing both together at the same so they have the same stress resistance. Is it front or rear Rmp?
  21. Crikey how many bulbs have blown?!
  22. Yes under the top edge - mine actually has two - one for the matte roof!
  23. Nello

    Rear Coil Spring

    or use Bravo ones?
  24. Nello

    Rear Coil Spring

Hi Rmp and welcome - as per the other threads on here - where did you source your front springs from as there appears to be an issue obtaining them? I'm currently paranoid about springs - drove out of work last night and heard a noise - so much so that I actually turned around to see what it was (in the dark!) Found a piece of spring - sounded like it came from the rear of the car but looks and feels ok so it may have been off someone else's car that I just drove over. Will update!
  25. IIRC vausey you can pull that screen wash tube off to give you a small amount of extra room.
