Silly question time - can you confirm that your brake lights are working ? Most autoboxes need to detect that the brake is depressed before allowing the change from Park, so I would check that the car can detect that the brake pedal has been pressed as a first line of attack. Trev

If you trawl around the net you will see that you either need to take your pride and joy to the dealers or undergo a complicated ritual when you need a new battery. Well I just had the batteries die on my blipper, I ordered a pair of CR2016s with the idea of having a spare. Ho hum, the blipper takes 2 batteries boo hoo, had to order another pair However they worked straight off - yippee !!! So try just bunging replacements in before you resort to rituals that make the masons jealous, or bending over at the dealers. Trev

Nicked SWMBO's blipper, got it home without any dramas So now I need to get the battery changed - well it needs to get the horn fixed so might get it booked in for both. If I do I must remember not to drool as the dealer also sells Aston Martins (off for a cold shower)

Went to unlock the car tonight and the blipper didn't work so opened with the key Guess what - yep the alarm fecking works So I can open it, I can start it, but shut it up ! I am guessing that the battery has gone in the remote. I will be walking back to work to try the other remote later Is it much of a faff to change the battery in the remote ?

The treehuggers run Brighton council and the main MP for Brighton is a member of the Green Party. If they had their way roads would be removed from the city ! You can thank them for dear car parks (when you can find a space)
