Hi again. I think I've worked this out. I reckon my mechanic has been wasting my time. He definitely told me "gearbox temperature sensor". I wrote it down in front of him but I suspect it actually read or meant engine temperature sensor, which is why replacing it is "lol". Thanks to anyone who was thinking of helping. I will get back to mechanic clarify the diagnostic readout probably replace engine temp. sensor anyway & go from there.1 point

Mine is now sold, not sure whether to be chuffed or to cry will hate to see it go! Anyway more importantly it's going to a Lancista so will be looked after and I've covered my repair costs I've had over and above the trade in value. It's a fabulous car for the money they really are under valued.1 point -

Neil I forgot to point out in relation to that autotrader limited that mine had the correct badging too. Another big bonus!1 point
