There's a purple 14 plate 1.6 M-Jet Delta S with 20k on clock coming up for sale at auction soon. I spotted it this morning, so it could be a bargain for someone... It does have a few issues from having a brief look at the blurb...i.e. only 1 key, and no V5. It's due a service and an MOT, needs one new tyre, and all 4 wheels refurbing. Poss some paintwork and a dent removing... The attached condition report also states excessive play at wheels. Yeah it's black as I've just HPI'd it... Difficult to say as it's not on a buy it now, instead will be entered into a normal auction. Anything between 4.5k and 5k as that's the difference between CAP average and Clean. (plus auction fees) Given it needs a few quid spending on it you'd hope for about 4,200/4,300, but depends who's in the room or online...
Would agree that the estate looks more tempting I just find it annoying that fiat don't offer higher powered versions if VW can be successful across multiple brands all offering a wide range of performance options I can't see why fiat can't ? Personally if I had to get rid of the Delta (will probably only happen if age/mileage related unreliability sets in) I would probably prefer something less brash than modern Alfas but FCA don't really offer that option in a car with comparable performance to the 2 litre Delta
Hmm purple never seen a purple one before ?? I suspect it is black metallic. Looks quite decent and as they are very unpopular with the general public I guess it could be a bargain, I'm surprised that it has brake pads worn out and presumably all 4 tyres have been replaced (states budget fitted) at such a low mileage. Steering comment seems odd. Well worth someone having a punt on it if the price is right though.
I bought a brand new Tipo diesel saloon last May. Lounge spec, very well equipped, great comfort, half pleather interior, great heater, well built, good economy 65mpg average (and I don't even try) good road holding and all this for 20k euros (around 16k pounds) it's a no brainer really!!!
Just to update this and confirm it is possible to order any Delta 3 part as long as you have the correct Part Number direct from your local friendly Fiat Dealer.
