For the benefit of anyone else who has the egr heat exchanger cover fail... I can confirm that the Vauxhall part 55590953 is identical and has been working a treat for the past couple of weeks with nearly 400 miles covered since it was fitted and absolutely no issues whatsoever. Quite pleased it only cost me £30 delivered.
Hi, yesterday the rear left brake pipe snapped ( luckily I was bleeding the brakes and not on the motorway) So I thought I search online for a replacement. For those that didn't know I wanted to share this: eurocarparts is selling it with 71.99 and carparts4less with 48.03. The point is that carparts4less belongs to Eurocarparts. Hope it helps and always keep an I on low prices.
I think the legend of German reliability is much exaggerated so I was being a bit tongue in cheek about Italian reliability. It's odd these days that the public have very entrenched ideas in their head about different brands that don't seem to be able to be broken, even the VW emission scandal hasn't persuaded the public that German engineering is partly smoke and mirrors.
Haha you're not flipping wrong! I mean how the hell are you supposed to even get your hand in! My wife calls me dinosaur hands as she thinks they're really big, so probably not the best person for the job. Nightbreaker bulbs are great also. If like me after swearing at it a million times when you can't get the flippin spring clip back over the bulb to secure it... Just pay some young kid from Halfords to do it for you lol
I buy mine in Lidl!Get the H7 +50% light . . Around €4.99 a pair! That said, to change them requires the dexterity of a piano playing, double jointed, ambidextrous midwife :-O Someone here (Nello?) Is still missing a small screwdriver in the left-hand wing area, since he did his !!!!
1 quick suggestion would be to try a new pair of dip light bulbs, before you go through the trial that would be headlight unit removal! My wife's Delta lights were very poor when I drove it over having bought it in the UK Both bulbs were working, but both (!) were black inside when I removed them. The difference afterwards was night and day
Professional upvc cleaner worked wonders on my sister in laws Toyolet (which had failed our National Car Test, aka MOT) Any good window fitter or DIY store should have it A little elbow grease and there should be avast improvement
I think who's owned it and where it was serviced might be more significant than mileage, mine is up to 78k now can't say that it seems much different to when I bought it. Had a new air con rad and the egr cooler other than that just tyres and servicing. It's still even on the original discs and pads. I'm a bit bored with mine now but it's difficult to replace especially as I could end up with something without Italian reliability.
The other very annoying thing with the Delta rear light units - especially for those with light/white cars - is there is a small gap between the black plastic rear casing and the the clear lens which allows over time water to flow around and gradually 'green moss' up! I removed both my rears the other day and its virtually impossible to get anything down inbetween to clean. By removing the lights allows you to clean around the bodywork edges nicely but very annoying you cannot get in to that gap. Only suggestion would be a high pressure air line to blast it out if you are fortunate enough to have access to one.
