The loss of air conditioning, is due to the engine voltage dropping under 12v as the engine stalls and drops in revs, which kicks out the alternator pulley clutch until charging voltage resumes As for the air conditioning not working for a period of time, the only thing that I can think of, would be an auxiliary belt losing tension1 point -
