Sorry just saw this, yes I just used a cheap siphon pump from ebay, similar ones are http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DELUXE-SYPHON-SIPHON-PUMP-KIT-MANUAL-PUMP-EXTRACT-OIL-PETROL-DIESEL-FUEL-LIQUIDS-/262809527857?hash=item3d30ab2631:g:hP8AAOSwNnRYfBh6 I found that by pumping out all of the fluid from the expansion tank and squeezing the pipe a few times and repeating to pump out of the expansion tank there was no leakage when I disconnected the pipe to add the inline stat.

I just bought a syphon pump from halfords £3.99 (hand pump one) empty the header tank first then do the thermostat.

Hey no worries... It was a last minute decision to be honest, and although I've done a few shows at Stoneleigh before, just not Race Retro so wasn't quite sure what to expect. Entrance fee was only a tenner and the show highlights from the day before looked really good, so we went on impulse. There was a handful on Italians which is always nice to see, including a couple of Integrale's being used in anger on the outside track. The Gruppe B stand though had to be the highlight! All the rally gods basically on one stand!
